Death DOES NOT Exist: Instructions For Overcoming The Fear of Death

  • Many spiritual and philosophical traditions give helpful advice on how to
make the form after the body-form the best possible
Tibetan Buddhist have a very simple formula for this: In life you make mind, in death, mind makes you.
Put simply during our life the limitation of the body-mind allows one to have
    seeming control over one’s attention.
And as you become whatever you give your attention to, we have the
possibility of turning our attention to that which is free, open, & loving.
However, according to Tibetan Buddhists, after the death of the body-mind,
we no longer have the limitations of the body-mind on attention.
This means after the body dies that wherever attention goes becomes
ourselves and our situation - instantly!

Contemplate all the different thoughts that you have in a day.
Now, imagine the moment that you thought of Paris, you were instantly in
    Paris!
Doesn’t seem too bad until you think about all the other things you think
    about or obsess about
    .
Therefore, Tibetan Buddhists, and many other spiritual traditions, suggest
that we purify our attention during our lifetimes.
There are a vast amount of practices to do this - to discipline our attention:
Prayer, meditation, fasting, yoga, worship, etc.
However, all of these practices are merely forms of one meta-practice:
Turning & resting attention in its source.

@@DrWrapperband I understand that you are looking for proof however Truth is not subject to tangible evidence. Furthermore on matters of spirituality the grand majority of stuff is subjective and is thus inherently beyond tangible evidence/proof.
Without proof/evidence as a tool to distinguish truth from false hood it is indeed impossible for the mind alone to distinguish truth from false hood. Therefor it is wise to hold the humble positionality that you do not know whether something is true or not, at most you can only say you have heard "xyz" from someone/somewhere.
From this vantage point, one can finally explore what is being said and try to experience it for themselves.
I have neither confirmed nor denied the original subject but hopefully this will help you break away from limitations and explore the actuality on your own.

From my understanding people fear death because they are emotionally driven they are attached to the materialistic world and they suffer from that everyone suffers the person who believes in god the one who doesn’t because suffering is not something which come from outside but if someone physically harm u that’s the different matter no words or motivation can make u happy and suffer it’s just ur own emotions ego I know it is hard to let them go but overtime everything will be alright everything will come to divine consciousness but still the people who are attached to their religion they think this is all nonsense and they don’t realize themselves that they are suffering just by trying to prove others method to reach Divine right or wrong ! Keep doing ur own work if it’s working for u there’s nothing to prove to other I know this is all hard but have u all ever thought to ur self why it is hard (I may be wrong)or sound like my EGO saying this but u all Focus more on materialistic world but never within yourself learn how to focus on one thing first and u will be slowly gaining ur true self (ATMAN) (NIRVANA) whatever u like to call it may u all reach divine consciousness

No one has come back after dying to narrate what death is all about? Therefore, who ever has said whatever about death has naturally to be hypotheses not truth. The idea propounded here is what the Buddha has said and what the Tibetan masters have interpreted the idea of life after in Buddhist doctrines. Theses theories are just around this concept wit some efforts of their own to add or delete few peripheral ideas. To sum up, dying means continuance of same stream of consciousness or is mental continuum minus mortal body. Thus there’s nothing to be feared or worried about death. Since we are use to a body to get fulfilled our physical experiences. Naturally the stream of consciousness will try to acquire a body to manifest its will. As such an effort has to be there to acquire one. That’s how the mental continuum will take a body form. Is that new identity the same person? Not necessarily. Because our mental state changes every moment in this life to. That way, what I use to be today morning is not what I am right now. Though my stream of mental continuum is same. Therefore, it can’t be said that the person reborn is the same as one died. It is the same stream of consciousness but not the same mental dimension. Quite simple.

There is absolutely a death. Let me explain. If our consciousness is a manifestation of “self”, than our existence is dependent upon our relationship to other instances of matter; whatever that matter may be. You can have no concept of self if there is no other self to relate it to. Without this connection you would just “be”. With no purpose or even an idea of purpose. We would have to either be given a purpose, or created with an actual purpose. The first atom,if created without purpose, would not know it was an atom, it’s only knowledge would be that it was “everything”, and it’s only function would be to “be everything”. It would have no purpose or procedure to create anything of itself because it is already everything. The only way anything can be created and given purpose is by a source who was also everything and also always aware of self. Making this source capable of not only comprehending the concept of other selfs, but also the understanding of taking it’s “everything” and creating something else from it. By way of creating something else from everything, this source would be the very definition of life. As life is purpose. Even the simple purpose of being created is life. Any further purpose would be dependent upon the character of this source. If the source is gracious, being that it is in fact life itself, it would keep us linked to itself or provide a way so that we may be. So the only death we may experience would be separation from this source. That is death.

I challenge even the experience of death! Of course on a phenomenal level there is death. However if as I believe reality is only now, then all the past is only information in the now. And if as I also believe that information is never destroyed, then death is only changeless information which cannot really die.

    • @anestos2180
      @anestos2180 ปีที่แล้ว

in order to have information you need a storage place and a processor to understand them. so information and the brain are interrelated, you can't have the one without the other. if the now is always changes then the information's that are created through the now must be always changing too. only reality is unchangeable which is not dependent on anything even information. also you can never have an experience of death because you need a brain to do that.

@@anestos2180 I think that during out-of-body experiences (OBEs) consciousness manifests outside the brain in the vacuum energy of space. But yes, I believe consciousness still needs information so instead of the brain the vacuum energy becomes during an OBE structured in a way that allows consciousness to emerge, similar to the Integrated Information Theory.

@@Variedmultipl its really easy to describe. our self consciousness is based on thought process which are memories. without memories you couldn't have self consciousness you would only have awareness without any kind of knowledge (pattern recognition) . but awareness is also based on senses without senses you couldn't have awareness. for me mind and body are one along with all the universe so any kind of "after death experience" is product of thinking (memories) otherwise you couldn't recognize it.

@@anestos2180 You speak as it is already well proven that. As far as I know from scientific studies there isn't not yet a well comprehension of what consciousness is, just some clues and hypothesis.
By some of my experiences I also have a different prespective from the one you said.
What you said on my prespective have some true, but it's like trying to understand in the cause-effect process, what is the cause and what is the effect.
In this case what does happen in/do the brain, and the mind in regard to what is consciousness, awareness, memories, senses.
What if I tell you that consciousness is something outside of your brain, and what your brain does is to tune in, or capt That, called consciousness, and after you create some kind of awareness using your body senses, and your brain and mind can have memories which can relate and look into. Even this last part can be more tricky, as the memories could be not just in your brain but also as part of reality.
      This might seem more farfetch...

All well said but not complete. First, death is a being once created by our Mahashakti. It has got its function as long as our outer coat, our body, has not been transformed Divine.
Second, the present disgusting concept of death has been created by dark obscure occult forces, the Catholic Church and it will not last. By yoga and the spiritual brilliance of Sri Aurobindo s works we all learn that death is the golden door for a new body. In the dark western world, the Christian world, it was Rodolf Steiner who had taught the mechanism of getting a new body.
