    When I was injured and in extreme physical pain, I went within on a different level. To learn to live in total bodily discomfort, to learn to simply BE. It took great dismantling of self in order to find Self. It was frightening but my choice was taken away. I had only that path available in order to learn to live again, in a completely different way, to find meaning in mere existence..there is no mere about it. Deconstructing the need to DO and to find my Self.

    To seek and want is the ego, it took me a long time to realise that chasing answers about the meaning of life and existence is futile and will never be truely answered or fulfilled. It is a maze to keep you distracted from your real work of knowing the true self and also the shadow. The ultimate contradiction to this is that you think the ego is your enemy and trying to stop your progress but it’s also the drive what pushes you forward to find the true self… Without drive, you would never grow, by needing to grow and seek, you’ll never be at peace with what already is… The great paradox. Taoism is a great resource for this also ❤️🙏

      Seeing the ego as opponent or dysfunctional is judgment. Judgment is work of the ego, so ego is judging itself.
      Just seeing ego as it is, is enough. Just a part of our being.
      Not good not bad, it is what it is.

      Why would chasing answers about meaning of life and existence is futile ? . Is it becoz one is not able to come to terms to quest ? Coz it's hard but it's certainly not futile. Besides as much as dismissal may sound ok. Not having a coherent worldview leads to Nihilism. Saying these are futile questions will demand justifications. The nature of our reality and its cause is simply not worth of dismissal . People's subjective realisations dnt govern Morality . Some people can reach a certain darker realisation like Aghoris who are cannibalistic and the morality born out of it will result in destructive consequences. I wish it was easier to say that . But ignoring the fundamental questions will lead to disastrous outcome. This sounds like people dnt want to confront their anxiety . The reason I am not anxious anymore is becoz i tackled it .

    • @MODEST500
      @MODEST500 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wish people could know the consequences of their words . As an ex moral nihilist . If their are no answers to this question then Nihilism is just as valid than any philosophy out their.

      @@MODEST500 It is futile in the sense that you can never know the unknowable. You can form conclusions, educated guesses etc but none of it will ever be known for sure except in your head... I have been playing this game for almost 2 years trying to find meaning to my existence and all it has lead to is existential rabbit holes of my thoughts taking over and despair. The ultimate realisation to be had from this game is that it is a distraction of the Ego to justify it's existence and to know "more" like every other game, what you have isn't enough, you always need more. By needing more, you will never be enough... Yes we have a lot of work to do and a big journey to undertake but it is not to be found in the games of the Ego trying to distract you but found in becoming whole by integrating your shadow and bringing it into the light of conciseness / awareness. Pondering this stuff and identifying with your thoughts can only pull you out of the only truth which is the present moment of experience.

    Your films are mesmerizing. Thank you for sharing your gift.
    Two weeks ago, I was driving my son to wrestling practice and was first in line at a stop light. In a flash I became really aware I was staring at the red stop light and it had a magnetic pull. Simultaneously, I became aware of the energetic pressure of my foot on the brake pedal and the rather loud rushing of the cars passing by on the right. Instantly those apparent perceived “things” collapsed or vanished into the exact same space and then further collapsed into just knowing. It was instant recognition out of the blue and completely unsought that things are not things and whatever “they” are… they were me… whatever that is. It’s evenness and equitable and calm itself. Words can’t capture it. This new way of seeing has stayed and my mind activity has diminished by about 70% over the past two weeks. There is a subtle bubbling of uncaused joy and an even deeper sense of vibrant peace as a background to washing dishes, driving, listening to music, shopping etc… It’s always there now. I definitely don’t feel I know who or what I am now either and I don’t mind. I have responsibilities so I do them, but I no longer identify myself as I used to… and I’ve literally never felt more “myself”. I sense Gods grace is somehow working through people like you to shake humanity out of its slumber. Thank you for all of your beautiful work. Love and kindness.🦋💕

    There are two primary knots that bind us to this illusory (ego) identity. #1) The body is attached to comfort. #2) The mind always (wants) to know. If we continue to seek comfort in the body and knowing in the mind then one shall be limited by the limits of mind and the illusory body.

    • @Learn_with_Ari
      @Learn_with_Ari ปีที่แล้ว

      The body is the sub-conscious or unconscious mind on which we have little control over. The mind you refer is the conscious awareness which is just 5% . The unconscious intelligence is what beats the heart, breathe, digest food and keeps the body alive. But, we tend to narrow only to mind which we can access that 5%.
      Sad truth is how many of us are even using that 5% ... Literally 99.99% people are still narrowed down to believing and acting to the one which they see, hear and feel.
      But, life is beyond that and that intelligence is what driving the whole show in this cosmos.. And we fail to trust that because we don't have direct access to it. 🙏
      But, we can drop our knowing and melt in that unknowing/intelligence , so that every single thing we see, hear, sense would be spectacular, wonders and dreams around for which we would only have gratitude and appreciation 🙏

    "without the filtering of the limited mind is to be present without choosing." Thank you for this presentation. The following excerpt is from the writings of Marshall Vian Summers on freedom and stillness or presence: "Freedom abides within you, waiting to be born... You who have lived under the weight of your own imagination, you who have been a prisoner to your own thoughts and to the thoughts of others, you who have been intimidated and threatened by the appearance of this world now have hope, for true freedom abides within you... As you come closer to freedom... you will be able to recognize more clearly what holds you back.. it is but your adherence to your own thoughts... your interest in your own imagination that holds you back.... Attempt to allow your mind to be still, which is the beginning of its freedom. This practice in stillness will enable your mind to shake loose the chains that bind it--its unforgiveness from the past, its anxiety over the future and its avoidance of the present. In stillness your mind rises above all that keeps it small, hidden and isolated within its own darkness... In your practice periods, be present and be still. Allow yourself to bathe in the luxury of emptiness. For the presence of God is first experienced as emptiness because it lacks movement, and then within this emptiness, you begin to feel the presence that permeates all things and gives all meaning to life." . Look here, there is no present to the structure of the 'you'; all that is there is the past, which is trying to project itself into the future. You can think about past, present, and future, but there is no future, there is no present; there is only the past. Your future is only a projection of the past. If there is a present, that present can never be experienced by you, because you experience only your knowledge about the present, and that knowledge is the past.

    Core Self = Being aware of being aware.
    Freedom is a Way of Being. Being aware of being aware is unmodulated by the 5 senses, thus unfettered, which is the resonant inner state frequency closest in alignment with the frequency of the all-inclusive Absolute, where all things are possible (Wisdom and Understanding).
    Be still and silent and know That which is/That I am in contrast to what and who I am, and as that from which they arise and that to which they return.
    Gnosis = awareness of the presence of the Eternal within the temporal.
    It is identification with the temporal that blocks awareness of the presence of the Eternal within the temporal.
    Empty of the temporal is by definition full of the Eternal.
    The Rhythm of Life is a movement and a rest. The optimum (Heaven), is always found somewhere between the extremes of too much and too little (hell).
    We are so habituated to making it happen outwardly, that letting it happen inwardly can seem impossible at first, even though letting go is as simple as free-fall - wu wei - effortless effort - a not doing rather than a doing.
    Whatever the living fire of conscious attention dwells on today, we dwell in tomorrow.
    Ultimately, our most significant choice at any moment of the day is between unconscious compulsive reaction and conscious creative response.

    The paradox of how the mind can stop itself only exists for an impersonalistic understanding of God (the problem is that the traditional understanding of "person" has been lost). God's creative self-disclosure is divinizing. You need only sink into the desire for God, and the mind thereby meets its natural satisfaction and end in God. The mind naturally collects itself around this end and comes to a rest in true worship. This is the active phase of contemplation. Once the mind consents to receive God in collected worship, there is a supernatural infusion in which the person is elevated beyond themself into transformative union. Yes, God is the unchanging dimension of existence, but God's unchanging nature is creative self-disclosure- pure gratuity. The difficulty is just that our society is currently prejudiced against the 'God' word. The ego refuses to believe in someone infinitely greater than itself exists (so it reduces God to some impersonal field of awareness), plus the abuses of the Church have made some allergic to anything Christian. But deep down, we have an innate knowledge of our Creator, and there is a sacramental connection between the word God and the Reality. A reciprocal gratuitous Love bypasses years of meditative effort through free grace.

      But what is a person? And what is traditionalistic meaning of person? If God is a person (Christianity teaches us he is 3 persons) his personality must be different from ours which is illusory and based on our desires, likes and dislikes. Holy trinity is a dogma barely noone understands.

    • @koffeeblack5717
      @koffeeblack5717 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@mietekjaroszek7899 The modern psychoanalytic understanding (beginning with Freud and Jung) of "personality" obscured the more classical theological understanding of person. More traditionally, our created persons are understood as incomplete participations in the fully personal relations of Trinity. A person is the capacity for and subsistence in relation. Your true knowledge and love for your mother, and how you take up and relate to all things, is the true nature of your individual reality (that ever grows in the divine life as deification). Thus, all persons are a part of each other in the body of Christ. The persons of the trinity perfectly relate to each other in perfect love-communion, whereas we are incompletely personal in our selfishness and finitude. There are boundaries between the union and intimacy of created persons, whether in the modality of sensation, feeling, knowing, thinking, etc. Each Hypostasis of the Trinity is distinguished by their modality. Each is perfect God, and so relates to each other fully. God's complete reality means each of God's modalities is likewise complete and comes to an irreducible threeness. An analogy would be Satchidananda (this would be Trinity-for-us, as each created person can only grow in their share in the divine Life).

      @koffeeblack5717 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      @@maheshshastri5245 These aren't just words though- I'm describing a real process of deification. As our hearts reach out to God, our wills touch His. Our hearts at last find satisfaction in this embrace. This satisfaction passifies all the energies of the self into a collected stillness. Then, once our wills are completely receptive to God's will, there is an infusion of the Holy Spirit, and we come to know God intimately with our whole being and are taken beyond our being into the Divine Life (epectasis). Our finite souls cannot know God by their own effort- this infusion is pure gift.

    One day after years of seeking, the comedy of the individual attempting to become the witness became vividly clear. The irony of being at enmity with oneself in an effort to become one with everything was potently apparent. And the truth of what letting go truly looks like became utterly peaceful and surprisingly unremarkable. True freedom was at the door.

Regardless of what the ego makes you attach to, the thinking, the personal identity, the feelings and emotions of the body. Also as Krishnamurti said: Choice is the product of confusion and people mistake it for freedom. Whereas right action has no choice because there is no alternative, no opposite. There is no dilemma and conflicting thoughts, options.

      But we have already chosen choiceless awareness and again fallen into the trap.
      Because while doing choiceless meditation when the dislike/like arise we are bound to say that "don't dislike/like" but just observe and here we have made the blunder of choosing but if we had not said "don't dislike" then dislike/like is already there.
      This is always my dilema.

    • @Alex722
      @Alex722 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@maniksharma1403 No, you don’t suggest that you shouldn’t like or dislike or such feelings shouldn’t arise. You don’t even choose if they arise or not and if it’s bad or good. It’s neither, they just are.
      You don’t choose choiceless awareness, you are that. If you engage in mental chatter or get dragged by it then the awareness is still there of course, but you’ve identified with thoughts.
      Just let the thoughts do their thing and don’t bother to stop them or judge yourself for having them. Even if irritation arises, you can observe it without meddling with it.
      The point is by simply observing without interfering, every psychological activity, feeling, emotion dissolves really fast and leaves quickly. This can show you that emotions don’t have power of you and getting rid of suffering once and for all, is completely possible and realistic.

I was walking through the woods on the path of "dying to self" and as I walked I suddenly threw myself down to the ground. However, instantly I bounced right back up. So I walked further and once again threw my body to the ground. And instantly it bounced back up. This continued for some time until I reached the edge of a massive cliff. The fall was sure to kill anyone. So I threw myself off. And I woke up.

    Samadhi is a term used in various Indian spiritual traditions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. It refers to a state of meditative consciousness where the mind becomes completely absorbed in the object of meditation or the experience of deep concentration. There are different types and stages of Samadhi, depending on the tradition and the specific meditation practice employed. In Hinduism, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali describe different types of Samadhi: 1. **Savikalpa Samadhi**: This is a preliminary stage of Samadhi where the mind still holds onto thoughts and mental constructs, but the meditator is deeply absorbed in the object of meditation. In this state, the mind is still and focused, but thoughts may still arise occasionally. 2. **Nirvikalpa Samadhi**: This is a higher state of Samadhi where the mind becomes completely free from thoughts and mental constructs. In this state, there is no distinction between the meditator, the object of meditation, and the act of meditation. It is a state of complete and thoughtless awareness, also known as "established thoughtless awareness." In Buddhism, various types of Samadhi are described, depending on the tradition and the specific practice: 1. **Samatha Samadhi**: This type of Samadhi is achieved through the practice of Samatha (calm abiding) meditation, which aims to develop a single-pointed, focused, and stable mind. In this state, the mind is concentrated on an object of meditation without distraction. 2. **Vipassana Samadhi**: This type of Samadhi is achieved through the practice of Vipassana (insight) meditation, which aims to cultivate a deep understanding of the true nature of reality. In this state, the mind is focused on the impermanence, suffering, and non-self aspects of all phenomena. 3. **Jhana Samadhi**: In the Theravada tradition, Jhana refers to a series of eight progressive meditative states, each with increasing levels of concentration, bliss, and mental absorption. Jhanas are often considered as preliminary stages leading to deeper states of Samadhi. Regarding the state of established thoughtless awareness where there are no thoughts all day long, it is closest to the **Nirvikalpa Samadhi** in the Hindu tradition and may be seen as an advanced stage of meditation in the Buddhist tradition, where the meditator has cultivated a high level of concentration, mindfulness, and insight. It is important to note that reaching such a state of continuous thoughtless awareness throughout the day may not be practical or achievable for most individuals, as it requires a high level of spiritual development and sustained practice. However, regular meditation practice can help develop greater mindfulness and presence, leading to a gradual reduction in the frequency and intensity of distracting thoughts.

The fact that you experience those states, space between two thoughts, and thoughtless state, means that the thought was very much there.

    This video is a wonderful discussion of discerning the difference between motion and stillness. The graphics are first rate. The only sentence that gave me pause is "That YOU has to die." The idea of the death of the ego as a goal in spiritual practice is deeply misunderstood. As soon as we step away from our connection with stillness, even admist the motion of the physical body and mind, the patterns of motion must resume. Perhaps a better sentence would be "That YOU can be invited to soften as the presence of stillness becomes a more constant companion" or something like that.....because the only way the motion of the universe falls away is when our consciousness leaves our physical vessel. At least that is my understanding. Thank you for this excellent work.

    I achieved SAMADHI, a state of permanent Mental Silence iiving with a Quieted Mind, since January 10, 2023 in a Holy Grail of a short video on TH-cam that Source/God lead me to. Before I watched that video my mind was mostly filled with thought and only occasionally thoughtless. Now 150 days since watching that video my mind is still empty of all thought all day long, (except occasionally when I choose to think). It feels like Heaven. I am still free to think it just happens very little now, because thoughts are either of the past or the future. When you are truly In the Moment NOW, there is no thought, as you are connect to and guided by Source/God in each moment. In that State of Established Thoughtless Awareness I am in inner peace and enlightenment and living and enjoying the Present moment now. "Mental Silence is the Kingdom of God" Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. "When you quiet your mind you let go of all resistance and are connected with Source." Abraham Hicks. Thoughts take you out of the Present Moment. When you truly quiet your mind it is a Miracle. Some who achieved a thoughtless state of being permanently are Buddha, Sadhguru, Eckhart Toole and other present and past Masters. This video will not help you achieve Samadhi it will only talk about it but not show you how, so this video is just a teaser with no concrete method just a lot of good sounding words and no effective process. I had tried and practiced 4 types of meditations over the past 50 years, yet at best I achieved thoughtlessness for moments or minutes just nothing permanent like I did on January 10, 2023 that Source/God led me to and I have been loving it all day long since then. My life is much better since then. I feel better, I am wiser and I know that Source/God will help guide me and I will help myself. Living in Mental Silence is such an amazing blessing. I wouldn't trade that for $1 million dollars.

    I've learnt and written about this "stuff" since I was younger, The way I exist.. "now", comes from my understanding of how one would feel if they had no memory, like a newborn baby. As krishnamurti say's It's about ending violence. Your experience is you as much as the entity that is wathcing it "the real you" who you can't see. When your memory goes, You become only the experience. The ego and idea of you being separate from everything you observe leave with the memories. Also as Krishna says, It occurs like you're already there when there is the ending of fear and attachment to any other state than that one that you are. not "become". Because becoming is a conflict between the present and the future as a mental construct, those don't exist when they don't exist, Only one thing, without the idea of many, and because you have become this, you become that one. Meaning the complete. Hope my seven years summed into a paragraph helped somewhat. We'll all be dead at some point ay so don't strain if it gets too much ay :)

The action comes from this Trinity. Depending on what you know and how you feel, you act on things. Understanding this, then you can understand the _actor,_ the one who acts based on beliefs. Your act, your behavior _is_ the mask and _is not_ who you are.
