    I always order tapestries or some sort of wall coverings to try and make at least one feature wall. I bring in extra lighting. I purchase props that aren't game clues, just fun props to make the room feel a little more authentic. I always have themed music. I love creating the atmosphere!

      I love the feature wall idea! And can’t have enough props. Anything that fits the theme of the room is a huge plus. - PS your channel is the 💣

    I recommend using a candle lighter to burn paper edges, instead of an actual candle. I put the flame nearly parallel to the edge of the paper and just singe the edges of the paper. It gives it a nice look, while not appearing to be intentionally burnt.
    One other little bonus for escape roomers or anyone trying to make these burnt "pirate map" looking props. You can take any normal white paper, crumple it up and soak it in black coffee to get a nice parchment illusion.
    Love the videos keep it up!

      I love that soaking idea! Great way to get that old feel to it.

    Great video! One thing I'd like to add is that you should be very mindful when adding things just for decoration. I've made an escape room for my friends where they needed to figure out which one of the potion bottles contained the antidote. I wanted to make them look cool and added potion labels. My friends were thinking that the labels had some sort of relevance to the puzzle and had a very hard time to figure it out because they were distracted. So it's good to keep that in mind :)

      That’s totally true! One time they found a book and were asking about handwritten notes in it from a long time ago that I didn’t even know were there!

    Awesome! A friend used wax shaped like glue sticks and used a mini hot glue gun to heat and apply the wax to her letters for a project.

    Thank you for your useful videos. Do you run into problems with customers stealing your pins and other props that aren't bolted down?

    Hey Bryan - Just found your channel literally a few minutes ago! I'm loving it so far. I am a magician and TH-camr who has been doing lots of escapes/escape room content recently. Thanks for the helpful video; maybe we can figure out a way to collaborate on a project/video!

    Hey, i love your videos. One request, can you make an escape room or post a youtube video where we can bluff the participants a lot although the escaping is a bit obvious? Loving your channel

      Good question! So where we fake out the participant? Any example so I can think about it? Thanks!

    • @ritvikagarwal5739
      @ritvikagarwal5739 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LegacyEscapeBox Yes. For example, like maybe there will be three envelopes around the room. Participants find them, and when they open they find it blank, or the paper says "wrong envelope". Or if we give them a puzzle which they spend their time in to find the code for the lock. But the code for lock is stuck under the table. These are just examples. Thanks for replying!!!
