Just bought and assembled using your info rather than the manual. One thing I did notice (might have changed since your review) is that there are actually three types of screw. One small but the rest either have point or flat screw ends. You need the pointed type for the base fixing (3:57 in video) as no pre drilled holes in base plastic. Thanks for the great review and info.
@@charlieschannel4192 I'm taking it that you aren't a million miles away then 🤣. On another note, I am after a really easy to use pressure washer. I have this unit and its great, bar the 6m hose is a pain when trying to wash around a car without moving the unit around to reach all sides, anyone know what the size on the quick/push fixing hoses are? So i can find an aftermarket longer hose?
Thanks, very helpful video - it convinced me to buy one! My only issue with the assembly is that when I'm supposed to put the final four screws in the base plate, only two actually go in... The last two screws don't have anything to grip on to when I attempt to tighten them, and they just fall out - exactly four minutes in to your demonstration. Have I done something wrong? (The unit does work).
@@charlieschannel4192 Hi Charlie, I put four identically-sized screws from the original packet into the base plate attachment, which looks to be in exactly the same place as yours in the video. Screws 1 and 2 were very fiddly to fit in, and they firmly secure the whole attachment to the base plate. When I then insert screws 3 and 4 into the screw holes on the attachment and turn the screwdriver, there doesn't appear to be anything corresponding on the base plate itself for the screws to fit into or to grip onto, so they just fall out again. As I said earlier, everything else in the setup went exactly as per your video, and the pressure washer works fine - it just seems strange that these screws don't have receptacle holes on the base plate to screw into - and the base plate feels slightly less secure than it should be...
@@loughboroughjim watch the video again carefully, and you’ll see that the reason you could not secure those 2 screws is because you did them in the wrong order - you put the base screws in first and they *must* go in *last* . You must follow the exact order shown because you need to be able to flex the plastic accessory in order to line up the “troublesome” screws through the “loops” on either side of the accessory and into the *deeply recessed* matching holes on either side of the jet wash bottom housing. This is the *trickiest* part of the whole assembly and you also need very good light to see what you’re doing. A magnetic Phillips head screwdriver will make this much easier (or a small gob of blu tack). If you kept the two “spare screws” then I suggest removing the base accessory and trying again as explained above - I’ll be v surprised if you don’t succeed (Note you might need to remove the wheels first - take when doing this not to snap the wheel retaining lugs). Btw, the “small” screw isn’t needed - the top lance holder snaps firmly into place without it and the screw distorts the plastic when screwed home (not good long term)

Hi mate. Thanks for the video. I ordered the adapter that you linked in the description, I’ll probably order the MJJC foam cannon as well. Is there any specific adapter I should order with the cannon? Or can I just order it without an adapter? Does the adapter I’ve ordered in the link fit onto the cannon? You can order any connection type when you order your lance, so if you have a karcher washer you can have a karcher connector, if you have a bosch washer then you'd get a bosch adapter, and so on. But the downside of that is if you want to change your washer you'll need a new adapter head for your lance, so ordering the quick connect allows you to use it with other washers, but you'll still need an adapter quick connect to what ever washer you have, the short tips are avaliable in lots of places, mine is from the mjjc trigger gun set, but amazon and halfords and some good options, might have to be some trial and error hope that helps, (just check what quick connect you want/need as there is 1/4 connections and 1/2 connections)
