    You mentioned the color of the denim is brown after you lasered it. It will be white once it’s washed. That brown it the charred cotton. It washes away and can leave some really cool looking images.

    You could engrave reptilian patterns for cosplays. Really, you could do any animal print. It might be possible to put tape on the fabric and then make a mask so you make a design with fabric paint. I think any animal print could be used.
    I suspect you might be able to remove the black color from a t-shirt with a lower power setting... I think you get the golden brown color from burning the cloth a bit.
    Thanks for the video!

      tape is a great idea! especially since it's safe to laser through painters tape.... I should def try that lol

    Question, can you dye it after burning? Like they bleach black and then color it with dye ?

    Great video, could you please put the settings ? Speed and laser intensity for denim and other clothes? Thanks

    • @KnoviceCosplay
      @KnoviceCosplay  ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend experimenting to find what will work with your clothes since it will vary heavily based on the color of the fabric and possibly the weave/density of the fabric fibers as well! For this reason I don't like sharing mine since I cannot guarantee it'll work for everyone, hope u understand 🙇‍♀️

    What does it look like after 3 or 4 washes? The denim probably holds up pretty good but cotton t's i think would not.

    • @KnoviceCosplay
      @KnoviceCosplay  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      to be honest i only use this for cosplays/costumes which I hand-wash anyways, but burning the fabric certainly makes it a bit fragile! I think you are absolutely correct. the brown/weird coloration's did go away after washing.

      @KnoviceCosplay ah. Yeah I'd definitely try it out thought too, especially for like a one time or special event thing.

    Can you please tell me if you can make a small hole in the denim fabric?

    • @KnoviceCosplay
      @KnoviceCosplay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      you certainly can but the denim would fray! although you could seal the hole with something like fray check

  • @JuanSanchez-rb4qu
    @JuanSanchez-rb4qu 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Does it wash-out/fade like paint or its really permanent? that could be an advantage

    • @KnoviceCosplay
      @KnoviceCosplay  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As far as i can tell it is permeable since it is burning/damaging the fibers permanently

    The T shirt gave me an idea, what about using those UV inks, brush or spray on an area then laser the pattern to set the ink then wash off the excess, non set ink.

      @@KnoviceCosplay Mimaki UV_LED Inkjet Printers etc. Not sure if those UV setting coloured craft resins would work, a bit lumpy? I used my laser on Bamboo coasters and noticed at low power it bleached the Bamboo lighter, there must have been a coating on the wood it burnt off without burning the wood? Is there UV activated bleach? Laser Mylar/polyester film to make template for painting? These cheap Lasers have lots of uses people are still playing with, ie Norton White Tile, Liquid paper has lots of TiO2, I have yet to try it.

    • @KnoviceCosplay
      @KnoviceCosplay  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It varies so much depending on the exact fabric contents and color! If there's one in particular you'd like to know I can tell you what I used, but you'll definitely still want to do some tests on your fabric before doing the real thing!

    I am bloody loving the layered cosplay bits! I have done a few bits on wood and havw a con coming up so my mind just started going to that. I tried a denim jacket but it kept burning, can I ask what power settings (if you remember now) you used for the tshirt and jeans?
    Keep up the bloody brilliant work!

    • @KnoviceCosplay
      @KnoviceCosplay  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      oooo i would love to see what you end up making! Jeans power 80, speed 70, line interval .15. Tshirt it looks like i didn't right that one down, probably same as jeans with a lower power setting. color/lightness of the fabric may affect these. The laser does burn natural fibers, so it's kinda tough to find the setting that makes the design visible without compromising the integrity of the fabric too much, but you got this! and thank you so much :D
