The first tree with blossoms was sakura because the blossoms had a split at the end of each petal. If it was ume, it would be rounded.

Quite an adventure to spend some four hours in riding on a local train. But it was worth for introducing a new town Atami - onsen spot along the ocean. It was an interesting walk to see the hidden oldest onsen - cave tunnel with water boiling like hell in the end. No wonder that it was as hot as in a steam room. What a luck to finally find a restourant with less people for a late lunch on the way to the plum garden. Another cave path this time in the nature. If in the full bloom this garden may be exceptional but even now everyone could get the idea how it might have looked. Looking forward to a next one day trip although it seems a bit tiring even for a fit person and experienced walker and traveler as Rion.

Ooooh I'm totally loving this video and Inaka vibes in Atami. So beautiful. A place I haven't heard of until now. The cave you went in looked like a mini-sauna. The flower garden b-rolls were gorgeous. Soo glad you found the restaurant where you were able to film and enjoy that yummy seafood curry. Wish the travel time didn't take up too much time so you would have a moment to relax at an onsen besides at the foot one. The towel you brought, is blue your favorite color? At least you saved some cash with the pass and have more use for another trip. Thankss for hard work and dedication as usual. Keep smiling and walking

Natsukashiiiiii~~~ ☺Also, can I just say that the BGM that you used when you entered the onsen cave gave me a “Pirates of Caribbean” vibe 😆As always, thank you so much Rion for travelling all the way to Atami even you’re still recovering from your allergies when you filmed this just to give us another beautiful view of Japan. Hi, if you’re visiting USJ, Rion has made a video about the highly rated hotels Liber and Park Front. If you want to stay nearer the “heart” of Osaka, Rion has mentioned OMO7 (but hasn’t stayed there).

You are correct, Indian food is very different from Japanese curry. By the way I am curious what kind of hiking shoes do you wear for walking so much in these videos. I live in Japan and I am thinking of buying a paid and you WALK a lot!

Hi, in a past livestream (Aug ‘21), Rion shared about getting his first pair of high-cut hiking boots (with Gore-Tex) from L-Breath (Shinjuku) on sale (around 12k JPY). He got them for Mt. Fuji, but indeed, he’s been wearing and walking around in them often in his videos & livestreams. Hope this helps!

Hi, I think it’s more like instead of walking for 30m, he took a taxi. Not sure how long was the taxi ride. Maybe 5m.

I've been to Shizuoka everytime we've been to Japan, so maybe 3 times but exclusively at Gotemba. I'll probably look for that place and try to explore the area. Also maybe try to travel there via train. Always using the bus from Yaesu.
