❤We have been waiting for this type of video and are glad you are doing it !! Over tourism in some areas is taking away much needed income from rural Japanese family run businesses. Your video such as this will help them for sure !
Thanks from Florida USA !
Loved seeing the bubbles flying past at 23:55 👍
Rion, you one of the happiest people I've ever seen. I just like your energy ❤
This is exactly the kind of videos we want to see. We love seeing the lesser known areas of Japan and especially Tokyo. Thanks for this.
I can’t thank you enough for all the wonderful journeys I’ve made on your channel! Cheers! : )
Let’s keep walking
Love it! Keep walking Rion!
I really like to visit the local town for its peaceful vibe, such an escape from the touristic spots in Tokyo. Hope I can explore this area too, someday. Wow, it's amazing you walked 12,000 steps, which I'm sure I cannot do! 😅 Let's keep walking!
This quaint Tokyo town is lovely. Thank you Rion for walking us through. With love ❤
Thanks for the nice update. Such a beautiful area. Love all of the natural scenary- in particular while you were walking in the shrine and riverside. That bakery seems like a nice place to visit. The curry bread looked so goood 😮🤯❤ Thanks for the hard work and let's keep walking to episode 500!🎉💪😊
I am less than 5 months away from going to Japan again! I'm planning on going at least once a year! Last year 2023, I visited in May, this year will be November! Thank you so much for introducing local places! 😊 I can't wait to go see many local spots! And I can't wait to "hopefully" run into you as well Rion ❤😊 Arigatoo Rion!!!
Hi Rion! We enjoyed meeting you at the vending machine on the Yaesu side of Tokyo Station and thanks for helping us taking our selfie with you. It came out really nice! Finally thank you this edited video! We are interested in the less visited locations since we have seen the popular sites. Looking forward to more videos like this one.
Yeeees it was great meeting you Kevin and Dayle from Hawaii!! My biiig pleasure, and Arigatooo! Ganbarimaaasu😆🦁
I would never imagine that such a peaceful areas exist in Tokyo with the nice temples and so much nature. Of course if there is greenery there are mosquitos, as well, but one must sacrefice something to enjoy such a lovely scenery. The breads you have found are really special and on the other quality level compared to elsewhere outside Japan. Thanks for such a long and romantic stroll ending in the residential city just 15 minutes away from central Tokyo. I remember some time ago you had a livestream from there with some uploading problems. Hoping you might be lucky to catch some fine day before the rainy season for visiting Nikko. Looking forward to it! GAOOO....
❤ I really enjoy watching your latest Local town series of videos!
It gives us ideas on less crowded areas that we can explore when we go back to Japan again (really soon 😆) !
Thank u dear Rion..always a nice video from you. Now I must watch ur video & listen to ur voice at least once a week 😂🤭👍.
Rion, thank you for this video! I love your videos. You have a special way of making it feel like I’m right next to you. Keep up the great work! 🙇🏻♀️🫶🏼
Hi Rion .This is so natsukashii! The first time I came to Japan my host family lived in Setagayaku, so I spent some time there . The area is a bit more modern now, but it brought back some great memories! Thank you for the relaxing video .
Just found your channel today and have been watching ALL your videos. I love your energy and how informative and fun all your videos are. Keep up the good work! I want to move to Japan even more now. Loving it! ❤
Great video, Rion! 👍 “Instagram vs reality” - lol, so true! 😆 The places were beautiful and the food/drinks looked meccha oishi! 😊
thank you RYAN san RION ISHIDA best channel
thanks rion for featuring jiyugaoka!❤️ been there several times and i love that area! actually, there’s a lot of small, nice local restaurants and shops around and near Jiyugaoka station. the look of the area really has that little italy feels and far from what you see in the touristy places like shibuya, etc. that’s why i love coming back to Jiyugaoka for short visits. i also love the cute peter rabbit cafe 🥰
I haven't even watched the video yet, but I know I'll already love it. We really enjoyed visiting the Tamagawa area and Todoroki Valley whenever we are in Tokyo. The Tsutaya Electric there is awesome. Nice work!
I love anything with red bean! 😋 Thanks to your local adventures, I knew about Atami’s Butter An, so when they had a one-week pop-up shop in Tokyo Station, I was so grateful to grab one since I had no time to visit Atami itself. Oh yea, the rain could be such a pain 😖 but because of it, beautiful hydrangeas are blooming everywhere 🩷💜💚
So many thanks for visiting and showing these areas! Keep it coming - maybe 武蔵小杉 and around next? :-)
I love a series of escaping from the tourist crowd. Thank you very much.
Next month I will stay at a hotel near Sugamo, because the area around the famous temple (巣鴨とげぬき地蔵) is called "Harajuku for the Grannies (おばあちゃんたちの原宿)", right? So exciting!
You should definitely go and explore there, too.
Morning Rion love you ❤❤❤❤
another banger, lovin it!
Awesome!
😆🦁👍
Thanks rion for this video. It might help for the next visit to Japan. Very peaceful place and such a scenic view ❤❤
You're so lucky to live in a beautiful and peaceful place like Japan! Wonderful 🎉
Finally can enjoy the quieter side of Japan… no tourists. Nice.
Go Rion❤
Wow such a nice & peaceful place. Thanks for sharing with us 😊😊
That temple must be beautiful in the fall with all those red leaves.
I love the non-tourist areas! Thanks for sharing!
No worries Rion, you still look good with your windblown hair.
Hi Rion! We are in Japan right now, walking the Kumano Kodo - Kohechi trail. Love that you show us less touristy spots. Also, I really like that you incorporate some vocabulatory in your video. I used « meccha oishiî » tonight and seemed to please my host ☺️
Thank you too Rion. I really enjoyed this video. Until your next one... Gaaoo ! 😊
Really enjoying these local places
Rion, thank you for the explore new place
Great work! Thank you so much foe taking us along to this new areas!!! I can’t wait to visit there🙏
Oh, I hope the construction at Todoroki valley is finished by November! I will be visiting Japan at that time, and I really want to visit quiet, not crowded places! Great video, Rion! Keep gaoooooooing!
Really enjoy learning more Japanese vocabulary from you :) I going to stay in Akabane in December, id love to see a video from you about the area.
I'm always looking forward to your video for more Japan travels. Hoping to visit Japan soon.
Gaaaaoooo from Canada.
Another great video Rion xx
I was in Jiyugaoka with my Japanese Friend in 2014, this triangle stations are awesome... i was there for the little temple where you can go under the earth for the path of the 100 buddhas and nearby is a nice path along side a little river, i was in little venedig too, it was better in the past. Todoriki Ravine Park was wonderful with this temple and Kuhonnbatsu as well :)
Rion, keep up the good work! Can you start with the Date and Time on your iwatch....it helps to know the season to visit..
looking forward to Nikko videos!
5:04 Very nice place to relax 🏝️🥤🦦👍, 5:40 What beautiful clouds ☁️☁️☁️! 9:04 Planting trees not only beautifies the temple environment, but also protects the ecology around the temple😍😌👏! 12:22 Curry bread, there are quite a lot of fillings inside, 13:21 anpan red beans🫘, two breads with Costa coffee ☕️perfect😋👍! 18:46 Picturesque scenery and beautiful environment 😍👍! 24:13 meccha Oishiii Banana Brulee Frappuccino 🥤😋😁! 29:18 Ajisai is so beautiful😍!
Thank you so much Rion, let’s keep walking at the peaceful temple and Local Bread Store at 📍Jiyugaoka Station📍 Kuhonbutsu Station 📍Todoroki Station (Todoroki Valley) 📍 Futakotamagawa Station 😮💨🤝!

@@RionIshida yes please! maybe an additional activity on a new video?? hehehe ✌🏻✌🏻😉
I live in Michigan USA. The mosquitoes just love me here. I can only imagine how much more they’re going to love me there! 😂
LOL, let's see🤣
Nice walk!
I like these videos of non-touristy areas. Very charming park. I like the peacefulness but feel kind of scared because it is too quiet. 😅 Is this really Tokyo? 😅
Yeah, amazingly it was quiet very beautiful place though 😊
Just realized that you did not do a winter/snowy trip this year. I looked back at your January and February 2024 episodes, there was none. Hehehe. I hope you do snowy trips next year. GAO!
True!! Surely in next year!!😭😭
in the last summer .. I went a Jiyugaoka , the main street remember my city Barcelona....🤔
A lovely place to live that's close to central Tokyo.
Nice video Rion! My family and I are heading to Osaka right now and we still have many goodies for you! We are coming back from Osaka on the 10th, then leaving Tokyo soon. Please make a livestream when we comeback so we can find you 😢

You're awesome! Please keep making videos ^_^ Can you make one with cafes with animals? ^_^
You're adorable and it's a joy to watch your videos.
こんばんは Rion san hello how are you? yes you are absolutely right when i was in kyoto a lot of people and it's hard to take photo because all people passing by😅 and over price , compare to regular Price But BEAUTIFUL anyway😍❤️
take care and thank you so much for the hardwork
If you have it in Japan, try using lavender spray or citronella against the mosquitoes instead of chemicals, that works well here in Florida.
😊👍
Hi Rion, love your videos! Can you make some videos of food recommendations in Tokyo?
Hope you can tour around Koenji!
Weird, Todoroki Valley was closed on the north bit in March 2023 and it's still not all completed?
Would you make a video on Suzuki, I heard it’s not far from the airport and maybe it’s also peaceful with the temple.
hi Rion do you have a video exploring every stop using the Sakura Tram ?
you didn't eat until you can't eat in this episode
How long did it take you to travel from Haneda airport there please
Should we buy yen in Japan? Or here in Hawaii?
Not sure, but not in the airport but in the local shops👍
Cats japan in my peace of i see you likes to tokyo city yeah😊❤

Exactly Stop disturbing peaceful neighbourhoods just for your own money making gains … the locals will suffer once there is overcrowding of overseas tourists and making a mess of the place … be responsible TH-camr
Just leave the tourist to visit Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tsukiji ..
Plus, there are lots of ppl in the world, that have mobility issues and cannot visit, their vacations are watching these videos...
TH-camr is not all the problem causing the over tourism, its the weak yen too.
OmegaLOL
Sakoku mindset.
Hi Rion, from California. I recognized the view of the river you walked towards. It looked like the one in the anime, "Daily Lives of Highschool Boys" in 2012. It made me very glad to learn that it is particularly real. 🥲🫡
