Keeping the selfie camera in a corner whether left or right truly helps to remove obstruction from the users view. Undoubtedly putting the camera pump right across the phone solve the unevenness when the phone is lying flat (at least for those who care about shakiness).
The concept is almost perfect in my eyes. The only additional feature I'd want as a priority is a physical finger print sensor. The Pixel 7 under-display sensor is dreadful, especially with a screen protector. The Pixel 5 sensor was superb. I love the colour contrasts too. I have a black skin for the top section of the back glass on my 7 to give it the classic panda look.
Cool design. I bought the Pixel 5 for the specific reason that the bezels are symmetrical. I also don't get why no manufacturer seems to care. One thing that I would love to see Google fix is their software - I love nice and fluent animations and Android is just not en par with iOS. They are trying hard to get it right but every time they try to fix one thing they break another... I get that Android is built very differently than iOS but one is allowed to dream right...? Also uniformity of modals, spacing, buttons etc. throughout their apps (even the core apps) is laughable, sadly.
I love my Pixel 6 and have to say, I agree with you wholeheartedly with regard to the camera visor; the all-black Cylon-style visor is a much better look than the two-tone look displayed on the Pixel 7. Another factor is that, by making the visor into a part of the frame of the device, and positioning it so that its edges run parallel to the antenna bands, it introduces a physical weak spot that isn't there on the Pixel 6, whereby it takes very little pressure to bend and break the device along this line. I also haven't heard of any cases of the Pixel 6's camera glass spontaneously shattering, either.
pretty good concept. i really like the 7pro design, but wish it was matte color and not glossy. honestly if they were to switch the power and volume rockers and add an ultrasonic sensor for the fingerprint. i would be very very happy with that
Great concept. It seems Google has taken inspiration from your camera design unification and overall design. I only wished they had put the camera to one side. Frosted glass is something I hope they bring back soon.
I doubt they were INSPIRED, this stuff is usually ready months and months, sometimes years in advance. tho I’m happy that at least some of my ideas seem to be there

What I would change is rounded corners, top right camera hole with the battery indicator in it, two tone colors, matte back (no more glass), more colors, red, orange, green, white, black, purple, blue, etc. Also make screen smaller, maybe 5.8 inch or something. The pixel would be an even more perfect phone with these changes
I just want another Pixel 5 with a brighter screen, better speakers, an updated triple camera system, and the latest Tensor chip. That's all. The size was perfect and the design was perfect (loved the symmetrical thin bezels all around).
IMO take the size and format of the pixel 5 and just make it glass and more premium looking. Yes just leave the finger print scanner, in the back it works better and having it under the display is honestly a gimmick.
After Mark Levoy left google the company stopped creating a huge impact in the mobile hardware, I’m still using the pixel 3xl from 2018 and tbh the camera quality can still be considered as flagging level and can be compared to the new pixel phones
But instead of squeezing you can just swipe up from any of the bottom corners ( i usually do right bottom up to middle, i find is the easiest) and it launches the assistant, i think it's much quicker.
The selfie camera should be in the middle because you're going to constantly notice the top left selfie camera that is pushing your time to the right. Besides, people aren't watching videos in full view because it crops the video it it's 21:9 which is rare.
I'm currently using Pixel 4a. And I know that this form factor isn't coming any soon. But at least let me hope for the form factor that did with Pixel 5. I'm 5.6 ft tall. So you guys can guess my palm size. I just want to fit my phone on my hand like I do with 4a. Oh yeah software is a big concern so I'm sticking with google.

I personally know 4 different people who have bought the pixel 7 pro and the cameras shatter, No dropping either. We live in Buffalo, NY it gets well below zero and when people are going from outside sub-zero temps to a warm house the camara glass is crackling & cracking. Prob. be nice as a summer phone or a warm climate. Not doggin out this phone it's just not for cold areas... Cam-shatter from cold to hot. No Cap... It's pretty tho. Like I said if you have more than one, Use this in warm to hot climates.. And/Or seasonal... It's a shame to it is a nice phone otherwise..

If it's on the right it looks weird because most people read from left to right so they expect the camera to be on the left if it's not in the middle.
