Hey guys! I am back after a small break & sharing a new sewing vlog. In this video I am sewing the Bertha Cardgian from Tilly and The Buttons book Make It Simple. This is the 3rd time making this pattern and it's such a treat to sew & can be made easily in a day or in a few small sessions.

You’ve definitely inspired me, I bought the exact same fabric (in the blue colour way) as well as tillys book so i would be able to sew the same cardigan 🙈 Fabric now in the wash, cant wait 🤩
Goals firstly I want to make a sweatshirt and making a cardi is the dream!

Have you tried table s for life from Costco s they fold away and they have them in different sizes they are solid and not to expensive love your makes

I am using the same fabric as you and watched your video several times but getting stuck with finishing the seams. I’m using a zig zag stitch like you, ballpoint needle 90/14 stitch length 2 and width 3.5 but my seam has gone incredibly wavy (stitching so the stitch will just go off the edge of the fabric). The main seam was fine after a press but even with steam and a good press the waviness won’t go away - absolutely gutted. I have first loosened by presser foot tension to 2, then to 1, but no improvement. Any ideas what else I could try?
I've had the book and fabric for the Bertha since last year and I have yet to make it 😅 This may be the impetus I need! And I agree about the growing fabric collection bring intimidating 😀 What do we bring on ourselves?
