      This is strong. There are many people who can technically paint well and can teach others a lot, but you are definitely not one of them. What do you want to teach them? How to do the right thing? Or how to paint another face, of which hundreds of thousands have been and will be painted? You don't understand the essence of art at all, and you just look at the stupidity of other people who think that their work will finally get a response. Your paintings are technically on the level of an average high school student who has been painting for 2 years. Which is a warning in itself, because you've been doing it all your life. The most important thing with any painter is progression and a style that sets him apart. Do you feel that your paintings are recognized among the flood of other similar paintings? Not at all. Even if you could make a good living from this fooling around, your paintings are worth nothing from the point of view of art, and after your death not even a dog will be after them. That's the reality.

    Thank you so much Dimitra and MAI for sharing these videos they are really very helpful!! And Dimitra kudos to you for sharing your techniques, most people are still to much in a lack mentality and want to keep everything secretive🙏. It is powerful and abundant to imagine how art is going to take over the world and make everything just a bit more beautiful! I love that we are all contributors to that through helping each other while we keep creating new things in our own unique way ❤

      Yes, these are the two main points to become successful. 👍 I've painted all my life, did two art schools, and other studies, had a life filled with lots of obstacles and hardships. I know a lot of people, and also lots in art. But, I wish now that some magic happens that a good benevolent person helps propulse my art work. 🙏🌟🤍

      @zobobeebo8011 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Don't let that hold you back, don't compare - you've got your own magic in you, work on that, and if you want it enough you'll find your own way. Grow your signature style, tell everyone you meet about it, share it and your clients will come - believe in yourself ❤

      Agreed it is harder for those of us without someone already connected

    • @CherylChastain
      @CherylChastain 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have to say I was thinking the same thing,it is extremely hard without connections. It’s taken me more than a decade to find what works for me to be able to go all in as a full time artist. I’ve really noticed a huge increase in targeted ads of “successful/professional artists” making content and special steps to sell art, but then that’s them supplementing their income with these tutorials/subscriptions and lots of artists buy in and if they don’t see that kind of result they often quit and some are sent into despair. A million at age 15 is impressive and to those artists that have no representation and no idea how to get a foot in the door of galleries and no representation, the comparison leads to despair. I just think these are misleading. I wish they came with a disclaimer telling the artists spending their money and struggling that these results are not typical,the art world is still mostly about who you know and it’s only through social media platforms like Instagram that have given regular Joes tools to reach more people than in the past. It doesn’t happen over night and you’re going to fail sometimes and even if it takes years don’t give up. These “free guides” and expensive “marketing” subscriptions do more harm than good in my opinion,why not post technical skills and tutorials that address artists skills and weaknesses to help artists help themselves. Give out some tips,pointers to get more eyes on your art referrals if you will, some artists are desperate to get feedback that helps them make it at being an artist full time. I think the art world is saturated with gatekeepers and pompous folks, artists need to know who and how to share their portfolios with to see results and keep them painting,not hundreds of dollars worth of what you did to make your first million..

    Thank You all so much for always sharing such valuable info & techniques FREELY! For those that complain about costs have NOT assessed whatsoever the costs it takes to run an art SCHOOL & all the parts that go in from using YOUR FREE TIME to teach FREE WORKSHOPS, to PAID positions such as video editors, researchers, mentors, teachers, supplies, software, recording equipment, art supplies, editing for all platforms, time it takes to actually put together EACH COURSE AND doing so in a manner that makes sense!! Let's also not forget if you compare ANY & ALL THE FREE WORKSHOPS OFFERED AND YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF JUST THAT, YOU'VE LEVELED UP & CAN SELL YOUR ART THAT YOU LEARNED HOW TO CREATE FOR FREE TO PAY FOR ANY PAID MASTERCLASSES. In addition, what they HAVEN'T really shown me in all their advertising is that you ACTUALLY LEARN MORE & GET MORE THAN WHAT THEY SHOW!! You don't just learn HOW TO PROPERLY USE OILS & VARIOUS WAYS TO USE THEM IN THEIR MASTERY PROGRAM, YOU ALSO LEARN ACRYLICS, CHARCOALS (PENCILS, VINES, POWDERS), MIXED MEDIA, GRAPHITE PENCIL, HOW/ WHEN TO USE VARIOUS ART SUPPLIES LIKE BLENDING STUMPS, VARIOUS TYPES OF ERASERS, HOW TO USE VARIOUS OIL MEDIUMS, SPRAY PAINTS, OIL/WAX CRAYONS, MARKERS OF ALL KINDS, INKS, VARIOUS STYLES/ TYPES OF PAPER, CANVAS, WOOD BOARDS, HOW/ WHEN TO USE TEXTURE PASTE, CREATING COLLAGES USING VARIOUS MATERIALS, USING PIGMENT POWDERS & WAXES.... AND THE LIST GOES ON & ON. NOW COMPARE ALL THOSE COSTS (And that's NOT all that's included) with One college art course and see where you end up at. Furthermore, they STILL have to pay all their hired help, the overhead costs of running equipment/ replacing/ updating/ software/ running multiple social media platforms, utilities, etc. I'm currently a Mastery program student. I'm only ¼way in and I've already learned WAYYY PAST what I thought was offered. I NEVER DREAMED of doing something like using charcoals nor thought I'd be interested in them & now I'm IN LOVE & CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF THEM TOO 🙌🏽 ALSO being in the MASTERY program automatically gives you FREE access to paid workshops & of course the free stuff too AND they have an app that conveniently has EVERYTHING IN IT SEPARATED OUT & ALL THE ARTIST TO CONNECT WITH, SHARE WITH, LEARN FROM, ETC. You're NOT getting all this elsewhere, so if you have complaints about the costs, you're NOT EVALUATING all there is to offer, AND they have a monthly payment plan that you can EASILY cover with selling a painting! Let's also NOT FORGET Mentors are there and we always get coaching tips daily!! I tried to take a college art course like drawing 101 & I was so bored/ uninspired & didn't feel anything was being accomplished so I switched to business analytics. Just the boring college drawing 101 course in which I've learned nothing from COST the amount that you'll learn a LIFETIME of MULTIPLE Skillz in by joining The Mastery program that actually goes STRAIGHT TO THE POINT, HANDS ON LEARNING/ DOING & you will be SHOCKED at YOUR ABILITIES that Lie within that you didn't know were there until you had the RIGHT teacher(s) guide you with techniques.
    ☆☆FEEL FREE TO VIEW MY FB/IG/TT PLATFORMS TO SEE MY JOURNEY IN THE MASTERY PROGRAM & ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT IT. I'M JUST A STUDENT & WILL ANSWER AS A STUDENT. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW TO: ON TECHNIQUES, THOSE ARE QUESTIONS FOR THE EXPERTS AT MILAN. HOWEVER, I CAN TELL YOU HOW I ACHIEVED SOMETHING PARTICULAR ABOUT A PIECE OF ART I'VE CREATED! P.S. AT THE END OF THE MASTERY PROGRAM THERE'S A PORTFOLIO YOU MUST CREATE AFTER COMPLETING THE PROGRAM WHERE I BELIEVE IT'S AROUND 20-25 PAINTINGS WE'LL BE CREATING. I'M SUPER EXCITED TO WORK TOWARDS THAT AND I'LL HAVE EVEN MORE PAINTINGS TO ENTER INTO GALLERIES/ SHOWS. OHH AND THEY OFFER CONTESTS EVERY MONTH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHERE YOUR CHALLENGE IS TO SIMPLY CREATE A PIECE OF ART ON THE SUBJECT/ WORD PROMPT GIVEN & YOU CAN WIN PRIZES LIKE $500 CASH & $500 GIFT CARD TO THEIR STORE AND OTHER PRIZES SO THEY GIVE BACK & REINVEST IN THEIR ARTISTS! 🙌🏽🫶🏽
    MY HANDLE ON ALL PLATFORMS ARE:
    .•°☆ BEELUX DECORUM LLC ☆°•.
    I'VE WATCHED/ FOLLOWED THE MILAN ART FAMILY SINCE 2017 & JUST STARTED THE PROGRAM MID 2024. I'VE MET ELLI IN PERSON & SHE'S ALSO MY MENTOR SO I MEET WEEKLY WITH HER. THESE FOLKS ARE DOWN TO EARTH, VERY GIVING & HUMBLE, KIND SPIRITED, GOD FEARING, LOVING PEEPS & I'VE WATCHED THEM GROW, OFFER THEIR FREE TIME, HELP OTHERS GROW COUNTLESS TIMES YEAR AFTER YEAR AND THEY LOVE WHAT THEY DO, THEY LOVE PEOPLE, THEY LOVE TO HELP & THEY'RE HONEST 🙌🏽 AFTER YEARS OF WATCHING & STUDYING THEIR CONSISTENCY, THEIR VALUES, THEIR GENEROSITY, THEIR GROWTH & OTHER FACTORS, I HAD NO SKEPTICISM BECAUSE I'VE FOLLOWED & GOT TO KNOW THEM!

      And just a thought: FROM WEEK ONE YOU'LL COME OUT WITH A PAINTING AND A CHARCOAL PIECE LIKE EVERY WEEK SO AS YOU'RE GOING ALONG IN THE PROGRAM YOU CAN ENTER YOUR LOCAL "CALL TO ARTISTS" SHOWS & ACTUALLY HAVE QUALITY ARTWORK TO SUBMIT! YOU'LL MEET & GAIN YOUR CUSTOMER BASE WHILE DOING SO TOO! SO DON'T THINK "I DON'T HAVE A WHOLE YEAR AS I'M IN A BIND NOW..." YOU WILL HAVE A COMPLETED, BEAUTIFUL PAINTING EVERY SINGLE WEEK BEGINNING WEEK 1 🙌🏽🫶🏽

As I have no separate studio so far and need to paint in my living-room, I will cover all stuff tomorrow and try out this technique 😄. I hope it will help me to be more loose in my style. And the idea of first painting the background and then place the object onto it in a photo-app is great! Thank you all so much at Milan Art for providing content like this for free!

    Same here! I’ve always said I was afraid to paint faces so my subjects were never front views because I thought I couldn’t do it, then my dad was visiting and looking at my stuff and he was like “Man, you really don’t like painting faces do you?” And I took that as a challenge, painting portraits is a huge portion of what I do now and every painting gets better and better🎨

    How do you make your acrylic paint not to dry on the palette? And second question: what is the name of the markers you have used? Are they acrylic markers?
    Thank you for this video! I feel braver to start painting like this.

    Hello I've been doing a lot of dabbling and abstract backgrounds Just loving it. Between tin foil and tissue paper in addition to my acrylic paints and inks thrown all in there. I thought the pixelmator would be a wonderful idea to see what your actual object would look like against the abstract that I make.😊 But of course when looking it up I realized it's a Mac and the only suggestions that I'm getting are for photographs I'm not interested in photo art I'm trying to get something similar to what you're working with. May I ask what you would suggest for Androids like a Google pixel 7pro or 8 pro. And the only tablet I own is an HD fire tablet which is owned by Amazon not Google. But my laptop is a regular Microsoft 10 Or I can change it to 11 if I must. Please I really need your help and suggesting a similar application or if anyone else has any comments towards this ❓ would be great ..Thank you
    Big hugs. I'm so happy that I found you on TH-cam. This is exactly what I've been looking for and helping me with ideas and techniques that I'm just not thinking of. And the inspiration needed to do so. Thank you again and big hugs 🤗

    I have been following you guys for quite a few months and really want to get into the mastery program. I have watched every video on your channel and it's so unique and motivating! Unfortunately not the right situation for me to get into the mastery program right now, although I wish I could. I was wondering if you would give any discount on any certain point orany occasion in the future? Thanks!

    Do you have a mastery program 2025 too?

    I have a question and did not see this anywhere. What do you do with the nib of the spray paint after painting is ready. Does they stay separate form the tin in a jar with some stuf?
