It's FANTASTIC how you encourage upcycling random stuff. In my eyes that should be the core of crafting. If more people looked to use what they already have creatively we'd be better people I think 😁

The chairs are looking really great. When you use acryl to paint fabric, you let it dry, and after that use some vinegar to wet it and then iron the fabric as hot as possible. Depends of the fabric. After it is dry again, you can wash it. Don't know if it works for clothes and put them in the washmachine (it is not good English, I know) but for something you don't wash very often and by hand, it works.

As I notice you use old socks, I have lots of old socks and dunno what to do until I saw this, that give me a great idea for mini rocky chair, chairs, love seat, and sofa with bed, and patio chairs, love seat, and sofa. Thank for tips.

Them look like the socks I wear when I'm cleaning house, especially mopping, so if they get grungy, it's no big whoop. Then they eventually turn into dust rags, lololol!!

They are both beautiful.The painted leaves and flowers certainly finished the tie dye chair off beautifully ,you could just imagine sitting in a garden under a tree reading fairy tales to children it does look quite Magical 😀

Bad Wolf Custom Airbrushing & Decals ~~ Your comment brought back memories of the comedy show "Laugh In" ... their "Sock it to me!" became part of the lingo. :)
I love that she just goes for it and sees what comes out. It's less stressful than freaking over everything. In the end, she makes it look like hours of fun and I'm inspired to try building my own chateau mini from scratch. I'll learn a lot from her, so not reinventing the wheel.

Great piece; would love to see you continue with recycling cardboard instead of foam board. But love using old socks, esp ones that are on their 'last leg' :) :)
Thank you I am glad you liked it!💖 I meant to mention in the video... I used foam board because that's what I did in the original pattern but you could def still do the same thing with cardboard. I have another video for the cardboard house coming up soon and I am super excited about it!
I love this idea. Its a great way to upcycle something into a great work of art. I usually turn old socks into dog toys

I watched a doc about john wayne, when he wasn't making movies, he was a family man & lived mostly on his big ocean cruiser called 'the wild goose' of which he was captain. He loved paintings of old ships & sea battles on his exquisite boat. Worth a tour.

Love, love the chairs. Who would have thought that those odd socks had a use. I’ve used odd socks for hand puppets, hacky sacks, door stops, soft balls for babies but never miniature furniture you are genius.👏👏👏👍👍

This makes me want to design the house of my dreams in miniature, b/c that is the only way I'll ever get it, but it'd be so much fun and creativity for years to come. I'd like a French chateau with at least 3 generations of mods, ending in the early 20th century.

A tip to get a uniform pattern...When you make a pattern out of paper fold it in half and the make your cardboard pattern
