    The calm you have when working on a card like that is admirable. I would be SHAKING lol

    So yesterday I got a card in the mail. It was in magnetic case, when I took it out it had some swirl marks an looked like someone tried to wax the card lol. I busted out the card care kit an I was able to get it off the card. I wish I would have taken a video or pics. These kits work people no doubt. Thanks

    freaking awesome work bro. Ive been going hard with useing your products for the last year and have been seeing huge improvements with grades from psa. I even cracked some slabs to re clean and work some corners for resubmission. pretty solid results.

    Very cool. I clean, whiten and press my own comics. Daughter made me break out my 40 year old cards recently so was curious if you can do the same stuff with baseball cards

    I keep trying with the 2022 Topps update blue parallels to fix white corners but never can. Would love to see you fix one of those. Love the vids.

      @kurtscardcare  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I missed your comment Dean. Unfortunately when you have white in the corners, you’re missing a little bit of surface or a little bit of paint. It’s not something you can get back.

    Kurt, this is great, I want to buy your kit, can I assume there's a step-by-step, foolproof video of you doing a vintage card? In this MJ video, did you show every swab/dab and brushing? Thanks!

    • @kurtscardcare
      @kurtscardcare  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Howard. I probably came back to the Jordan card for a couple minutes off camera here and there. Just checking on it. But I didn’t do anything new I just made sure it looked it’s best.
      Check out this one too. Pick out a nice stack of base cards to do all your tests on so you can get comfortable 🤘🏼

      I like how you described the dabbing and brushing you did in this video. In your others I've seen so far, it's not clear if it shows every dab and brush for a particular card, so which video can I use as the *definitive instruction manual*?

    The common reason for those dents is actually not finger nails (try to make a dent like that with your nails, it requires quite a lot of pressure). It’s actually that something is between the card and top loader / magnetic. This has happened to me for a card in top loader (sitting there for about 10 years) and I’ve bought cards in magnetic where there is small piece (seems like magnetics are more common if not paying attention)

      No, the common reason is from production and transport.

    Awesome Kurt. Think this would work with dimples on silver prizms have a Gianni’s 2013 that would go from a 9 to a 10 if I could get the dimples to raise thanks

    • @kurtscardcare
      @kurtscardcare  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s so much harder with modern era cards because they have the plastic surface. This card is a perfect candidate to use a little bit of spray and humidity based on the materials. Dimples suck, if I knew how to get rid of those, I would yell it out loud to everybody. 😄

    • @Bnguyen276
      @Bnguyen276 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kurtscardcare yeah dimples are impossible unless you got some clear coat to go over the dimple and smoothing it out.

    Question: Does this technique work on other cards like mtg or pokemon ? Or it only work with this type of card ?

    Can u do this with any card? I have a Kenneth Walker auto I put a couple small indentions in trying to get it out of a one touch. It's like this.

    • @kurtscardcare
      @kurtscardcare  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use this technique with paper cards. Different generations have different materials so I would want you to practice on a practice card first. That will teach you how to do it or even if it’s possible. This technique does not work on plastic/prism style cards. Great question.

      Possibly, I have a video removing red marker off of a Mickey Mantle card. If it’s not permanent, you might be able to do it. Send me a picture on Instagram.

    Thats honesty wild I don’t agree with card altering what so ever but if they are your cards do what you want with them , to be fair their is a fine line what is card altering as well . Cutting painting etc obviously . simple things not so much . So what ever makes you comfortable do what you do I think simple stuff like this could honestly be very helpful . Why should I can’t be ruined because it had a little mark that doesn’t even go all the way through .

    • @ktc629
      @ktc629 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could you have the conversation that the little mark is actually the alteration? That impression should not be on the card, it was not there when it was made, and however it got there after manufacturing is in itself the alteration. When someone removes something that should not be there what is actually happening? We are glad you do not agree with card altering none one here agrees with that impression on the card, it should not be there.

      Lol ya you don’t think thousands and thousands off ppl know how to do this stuff. You probably have a bunch of slabs in your collection that have been “altered” that have been graded 9s and 10s by the top grading companies. This is just the reality of the hobby. Don’t hate the player hate the game.
