Cheers. Yes, it's one I've been using this season. Seems to work quite well when the river is clearing up after a spate. The first day used it I came down a pool with my standard go to flies and never touched a fish, stuck this on the dropper and took another run through the pool. Hooked 2 fish both on this!! That sold it for me 🤣
@michaelcurrieflyfishing6870 Here's the pattern the Glenwherry black, Tail - Black lough Neagh duck flank feathers hackled and tied back. Silver wire, Body- black fur dubbing from a Glenwherry hill rabbit, Black hackle palmered from a Battery cock, Top wing- several strands of Black and white tail fibres from a Glenwherry sheep dog. Hope this helps. Perhaps you can make a video of it, this fly fishes best low and slow at night.
Great work Michael! 👍
Very nice fly. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. Cheers!
No problem at all, glad you enjoyed it 👍
I like it! I like the black at the front, it darkens the fly down. Be a good backend fly! Did you come up with that yourself?? 🧵 🎣👍🏻
