    Set my 6 node network up today. I am on Virgin Media 200 mbps and I am getting an indicated 220 mbps absolutely everywhere in a 12 room double fronted terrace with internal brick walls. It was soooo easy to set up, not a single glitch. Very happy with the Deco, Highly Recommended!

    I could never get wifi into my shed with aluminum covering on the interior walls 40ft away with orbi mesh or spectrum's wifi 6 untill I purchased the 3 pack TP link M5. With a 100 mbps internet speed I get (with the door closed and sealed I'm getting 65 mbps and NOW able to stream moves, use the phone and have full bars to the edge of may 2 1/2 car garage and to the end of the property line approx 150 ft away and now I'm not dropping out my cameras in both ft and rear of the house. LOVE THIS SYSTEM!!!!!!

    most bang for the buck!
    Easily the best mesh you can buy under 400 dollars, and believe me ive tried a few.. I had a bad luck with google wifi, so i tried asus lyra instead.. warning! lyra = worst overpriced crap ever made.. Buggy cheap chinese app from hell, and disconnected and refused connecting some of my devices.. got this deco instead and they work like a charm.. reminds me of google wifi, but i managed to max out my 100/100mbit over this one.. With google i had a struggle reaching over 65-70 on the node 2 rooms from my wall outlet..
    Buy the Deco.. my advice!
    great app, less speed loss, great stable strong connection

    I just replaced my Archer C7 and AC1750 range extender with a set of 3 of these M5 and so far they work much better. Getting about 60% faster speeds than before in my garage office. Now we wait and see if the "freezing" still happens. The C7 would often go to the "connected but no internet" state and I would have to reboot or disable/enable the client or reboot the router. This used to happen several times a week and is the main reason I just replaced it.

    These do work with a wired backhaul. I've seen other videos demonstrating this working. Maybe it wasn't working properly in the firmware at the time you reviewed it? It'd be great if you had a screen capture for your phone screen so we can clearly see what you're showing. Anyhow, a nice summary of these units. I'm still torn between the Deco M5, Eero and Asus Lyra Trio.

    • @mahmudulhassanhasib3816
      @mahmudulhassanhasib3816 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tri-Band is definitely better because of the dedicated 5Gz line the routers keep for wireless back haul. I use Netgear Orbi RBK50 and its excellent. I wish we could buy a 3-pack version here or another satellite for cheaper. 1 Satellite costs like 70% of a new 2 pack Orbi RBK50.
      Deco M9 is better in a way that you can get 3 pack roughly the same cost as Orbi.

      @@drzefkovitsh We can get the 3-pack here, it costs same as a orbi rbk50 2 pack. But spec and performance wise orbi is better (yet very costly). Moreover, deco supports multiple deco units to be added in the mesh (even other deco models) but orbi supports only 2 satellite. So do some calculations, see if you'll ever need to increase satellites, then proceed. These are costly investments and you might regret if things don't work out.

      @@drzefkovitsh Good luck. The 2.4Gz goes really far but it's the 5Gz band which has trouble penetrating wall and has much less range than 2.4Gz. Deco is better in a way that all the Satellites are equal or same as router (you can use any satellite as the router and vice versa). So removing or including is extremely easy. But the orbi is fixed. 1 router and 1 satellite. I'm thinking about getting the deco when I move to a bigger house.

    Just purchased this on Amazon and it looks like a nice setup and you can't beat the price but I didn't know there were PRIVACY concerns. From my understanding, the Deco mesh network is always connected to the company's cloud which collects all of your personal information and browsing data - they also have the right to sell this to other parties. This is just creepy. I am returning it unless someone can clarify this. If anyone knows of a mesh setup that doesn't require connectivity to the company or at least opt out - let me know. Keeping home network private is a MUST for me. Sad - I was hoping this would have worked out.

      Only if you use the parental control feature. They don’t sell the information though.
      “We will collect a device's browser history and access time when the device is under the control of the Parental Controls feature, such as the Parental Controls feature on Deco Products, in order to better monitor the device which is under control.”

      Yes! You probably want to use your old ID and password. That way all your clients (devices) will auto connect to the new router.
