Hi again Jeff, thought I would answer the two questions separately as people often read they so they can follow it better. The W50 Kiwami is a current model. However, it is for the Asian Market, I bought mine from paintingtooljapan on Ebay, I think I put a link in the video description if you're interested. They are a great little gun, cheers, mate 👍
I currently have a harbor freight Fortress 2 Gallon/ 135psi/ 1.2HP/ 2.1scfm @90psi compressor which i use for airbrushing... will that be enough to run this gun?
Hi Pete great video as always Sir, the Kiwami looks a really nice gun the fan is huge for a mini gun and it puts out a fair amount of fluid and it laid the clear really nice mate a very flat finish👏 As you mentioned the LPH80 is a much slower and a more relaxed gun to use but the finish from it was still spot on, which gun you would buy would be down to what you want to spray with it👌 I liked the colours you used on the tanks mate, was the yellow one a 3 stage as it had that look to it🤔Thanks for a video on Easter Sunday Pete that made my day👌👍
Hi John, these two couldn't be more different, both great guns. Yes, the yellow was a Honda 3 stage. This was just a flow coat. The original job was done with the W50 Bisho 1.2 rather than the Kiwami W50, another good little gun. Hope your Easter is going ok, mate 👍
I'm sure I replied to this Pete🙄must have done it in my sleep🤔😂 The Honda yellow looks a really nice colour, I'll be flow coating my 3 stage yellow wing tomorrow so will see how it comes out this time as it really died back when I cleared over the basecoat, I'm finding the basecoat lays a lot smoother now I'm using the slow thinners plus the flash off times are not to much longer👍 I'm just doing what I always do mate, in the booth painting😂 cheers mate👍
Hi John, you did reply, but you also deleted it , so it said when I clicked on it anyway, It was a bit of a tease as I could read the very first bit, but that's it 🤣, couldn't reply cause it had gone 😁 Just had a look at your gold job. It looks really nice, mate 👍
Hi Jose, I'm not sure, I haven't tried it, but I think it would , the problem is the cap, tip and needle are around the same price as the gun, depending where you are so probably not worth doing it 🤔
Just want to respond about the scale model part. I usualy do rc boats. And some moped parts. Must say. I like a fast gun with a bigger fan. But yeah. The boats i usualy paint are between 1 meter and 40cm wide to 2m30 and near 60cm wide. I think that is more then a usual scale model? I dont know. My compressor does effectively 165l a min. This sayd. With a small tank. Its just able to keep up with a big gun on a 130x 40cm boat. Right on the edge Idealy it needs to put out more air. But il have to do with it. Im in a close 3x4x2.5m area with a recirculation system to take the mist out. But yeah. In the center of a small town. I have to.. neighbors dont like the smell...
Hi Jeffrey, Yes, by its very nature scale models can be totally different in size, hopefully people seeing what these little guns can do in my environment will give people a better chance of knowing what's available and what to choose, cheers buddy 👍
Another great review Pete! I bought a w50 kiwami last month after watching your previous videos. It's just a superb gun! automizing so fine with a good fan size and no need for a picky setting. Only one disadvantage I may say is the fluid a little low for clearcoat. I have to slow down a bit or spray more pass with it.
Hi Su, it's a great little gun, isn't it. With regards to clear coat it output isn't like full-size guns, but it does brilliantly considering its size. It's good to hear you like it as well 😀 👍
@@peteshobbies5383Hi Pete. If I'm not wrong I remember you saying that the Lph50 and the Lph80 are the same exact spray gun when it comes to the aircap and needles. The only difference is the body and the cup position. I just wanted to double check that info. Thanks.
Thanks again for taking time to shoot this vid 😊 enjoyable sunday morning viewing
Thanks, Dean, These are the same size, but like chalk and cheese, completely different , cheers mate 👍
love your videos thank you sir!
Thank you for watching buddy, much appreciated 👍
That clear is really nice.
Hi Shaq, it's only a cheap Upol clear, but these little guns atomise so fine it still lays it down nice, cheers 👍
Thanks again Pete! Is the Kiwami the Iwata replacement for the W100 they had? Thx again.. Jeff
Hi Jeff😀, No, the W50 is a stand-alone model. The W100 was replaced with the W101, which is being replaced by the Kiwami1
Is this a current model Pete as I cannot find it on Iwata's website? Maybe available only in the UK??

Hi buddy, it would be a struggle for the LPH80 and a definite no-no for W50 with your compressor

I didn't want to say anything mate 🤣
If you put the the needle , nozzle and cap from the w50 on the lph80 would it now spray like the w50 ?
