Hi Grant, Thanks, mate. I've virtually no experience with a Matte finish, so I was really happy how it came out. It looked good outside, cheers, buddy 👍
Pretty work Sir, I see you finally got that agent blended🤣. When I was taught about spraying matte, the guy I was working with told me to cross coat to help keep it even. I’ve had pretty good results, I also like the different results between Satin to matte. Enjoyed the video thank you, cheers young man
Hi Pete, a brilliant video mate and as you said it's practically spotless with no visible nibs which is amazing in the conditions you and I spray in, I've been getting a lot of nibs in my finishes lately it's strange how it happens as I'm not doing anything different it seemed to change over night🤔🤦♂ I'm not a lover of matte finishes maybe I'm just old fashion and stuck in my ways but I think a clearcoat should always be glossy🙂syaing that though your tank came out looking very clean and the matte finish makes the colour look very deep like those ultra black colours that are available these days👌 It will be interesting to see how it comes out using a full gloss clear with 50% of the matting agent added, in theory it should look similar to what you have here🤔cheers mate👍
Hi John, It's certainly a little different to conventional gloss clear, in that too much will cause a smooth, more glossy area, a bit like getting a motley silver or similar. I did already know this to an extent as I spray the supposedly mate clear I have, which isn't really matte on some signs I do for someone, it's just more pronounced when used like this. I was really hoping it would be clean, and it was really quite surprising to see how good it looks, any nibs, and there must be some, just aren't visible so it looked really good, even if I say it myself, cheers mate 👍
@Line-vw5io Hi Matt, the biggest problem with Matte is getting something in it as you are a bit stuck. The good points are the small nibs that would show up, on darker colours, and don't really show up. I found it pretty easy, I often use a Matte clear, but it's not really Matte, more of a Satin really, which is ideal as it for signs, cheers mate 👍
I'm trying to get 2 weapons. wider4 13j2 for clear .kiwami4 13ba for base .can't wait for it to arrive. I just bought it. many videos I noticed I made a selection of wede4 13 kiwami 13ba .2 great weapon options . can't wait there are 5 BMW cars. merchandise Toyota Camry Audi. .honda all change Kaler. Thank you for watching your video. same as my other videos, I think the choice of the place of these 2 weapons, I have 25 weapons for a long time, I used hundreds of cars, it's time to rest these old weapons.
@@peteshobbies5383 I saw a lot of videos but I didn't see any of the wider4 weapons. most of the videos are about kiwami4 only. but i saw your video using wider4 i am interested to get this great weapon. I like your video many stories about great weapons in the world. only we who watch videos on TH-cam make the right choice. which we want to have. looking at great weapons while drinking coffee and thinking about the choices we want.
Great Video Pete! Form the vid the first coat looks chunky. Is the matt thick or did you add a second coat to smooth it out. Btw the title says Wider 4L i think it shoud be 1L haha
Hi Mate, Yeah, it certainly doesn't flow particularly well, but the secret is to keep everything even. It had too coats of matte clear coat. Thanks for the heads up on the title. You are, of course, correct. It should be Wider1L, cheers mate 👍
Have a quick question for you that green little thing on the side of the gun is that embedded in the gun or like a sticker cause I bought the Kawaii and the sticker fell off
Hi Tony, It's a stupid little sticker, and yes, they often fall off. Half of mine have gone. It's a silly idea, really, but it's what they do, cheers 👍
@@peteshobbies5383 thanks for the answer. I was thinking I didn’t get the authentic one the the real one but now I know I did once again thanks for your answer and God bless you
I started to leatn like last week about spray guns.. so do excuse stupid questions! Well i would like 1 gun for all because i would use it like 2-5x per year. Well I would use more for wood where high viscosity paints and primers are.. so I assume I need 1.9mm hole And other painting is 1.3mm hole ok (as I understood drom videos). So Ani r160 would be super but they dont have nosle 1.9 but f160 have from 1 to 2.5mm. F160 is over my budget/and compressor .. is there something else that you would recommend?
Hi buddy, it depends where you are as to the prices, but have a look at the Iwata Airgunza AZ4, it comes in a 1.8 which may be ok and will run on a similar size compressor to the ANI R160
Beautiful finish! Thanks for all the great videos
Thanks, buddy, much appreciated 👍

Hi Bryan, Yes, mate, I finally got there in the end 😂, cheers ✌️
Man I loved the side cup rifles through your videos 😅
Hi Mate, Yes, many in Europe and the US overlook the side cup guns, which is a shame as they are really very good. Cheers, buddy 👍

A metallic base with a matte finish could be really cool.
Hi Buddy, I'm pretty sure one of the Triumph Matte original colours is a metallic green, I'll do a little experimenting 😁, Cheers, mate 👍
23:50 Is there really that big difference with the 4 split tip?
Hi buddy, compared to 3 splits, no, but compared to none, yes

I agree, the base looked thick.
The basecoat was thinned 50/50 as recommended. It didn't seem particularly thick, just like a normal basecoat really
