    I work in high end paint shop I started 7 months ago I'm only 23 and luckily all of our body techs have been doing it for 30 years plus so luckily blocking is always a breeze only ever run into very small low spots, our paint shop is very on point compared to other ones I'm told at least I get 2 to 3 cars completely prepped for paint a day we do 4 paint shoots and one parts shoot a day, does anyone know if that is average for a paint shop but we do typically only work on higher end cars if we really wanted we could slam out more than that but there would b a bunch of hardlines and stuff if they were lower end cars

    i have a similar panel to fix. It's a front fender with a body line through the center that the fender curves up and down from. I'm having a hard time keeping the line straight while filling the dent just above and below it. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Or suggestions? Thanks.

    can i leave the scratch at 400 grit for the paint ?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In some cases yes, solid colors you're good but If you paintin high metallics those metallics can lay funny in a 400 grit scratch and cause a problem with the orientation of the metallics. That's why I finish with 600 for no issues.

      @@GarageNoise ohhh ok sounds good thank you man, also another question, what grit should i start at before applying my primer, and is it okay to leave at 320 before applying the primer?

      Seriously, I was just talking about this with someone today. By far the best tool I've ever purchased! Only wish I would have done it sooner.

    Good vid. I noticed you started blocking your sanding with 320, instead of 180 or 220 sand paper....

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to finish my bodywork with 320 and then prime and block with 320.

      This is the one I use it's made for the mirka vacum system. There are many on Amazon that will be cheaper. amzn.to/3CzYa2b
