The Renault Kwid is sold in Latin America, in India and in Europe where it's sold as the Dacia Spring and is offered as an EV only. It is, perhaps, one of the worst new cars that you can currently buy in those markets. Why is this 1.0l three cylinder engine compact car so bad? Well, that's what I'll tell you in this video by Abriatus. Be very grateful you are not able to buy these Kwids in the USA, UK, Australia or Canada.

The Kwid name is probably way beyond redemption at this point, so it boggles my mind me that Renault axed the excelent (Dacia) Sandero in Brazil instead of this. They should've probably gone the same way as Volks, which replaced the Gol with a more affordable version of the Polo (though profit margins are so absurd here they could definitely just have lowered the price of the base car)

As a brazilian, i can say that EVERYONE HERE HATES THE KWID
Even though it is the cheapest new car in the country, it's considered one of the worst that has ever touched our country. People recommend to buy literally any other car (even used ones) to not get it

The concept of the car is good(a cheap city car), but the quality of the materials and construction are terrible…

Why? As you drive manual regular, you do not watch the revs.

You've reviewed the entry level 2017 kwid. Owned the Dynamic kwid now for the last 5 years... best car ever bought... light on feul, practical ... absolutely no trouble as i have driven from Capetown to Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique ect. Up and down back to South Africa.
