Nice video. My neighbor has 3 W124 at this time, and I bet he will buy more as he finds them. The one we are working on now, his newest purchase, was bought as a parts car. During the last few days I have replaced a faulty alternator(Diodes), and cleaned electrical contacts of fuses and other electrical connections. Every day we have more and more working as it should. I see it as potentially being roadworthy again. So far this is a very nice car to work on.

Fun fact on AMGs and Maybachs of that gen, the normal S classes might but AMG and Maybach for sure actually had push to start if you have keyless go. You put your foot on the brake and hold the botton on top of the shifter and it starts the car. This might've came with the refresh but worth a shot.

I have an R52 Cooper S Sidewalk (520 left in the uk)! Loads of fun, still looks great even now but almost has a classic feel to it! It's the last of the 1st gen and last of the superchargers. I think the bonnet / hood release is on the right side as these cars are designed for right and drive and adapted for the left hand drive probably to pay homage to the UK roots of the mini. Either way these cars are great, fun factor 10/10.

As one who is into "Car Stereos" none of the reviewers of the finer cars ever talk about the premium brand stereo they have in them, and talk about them. I'd also go into a little more detail about the suspension, exhaust etc etc,. And a few more pictures under the hood. lol`

That's crazy to sell a car where a new clutch is needed for the transmission once a year at $4,000. For that price you can buy a whole transmission!

The funny thing is: I properly maintain my cars. And in the last 25 years not one has broken down on me. American and German.

Odometer says 157.000km steering wheel says 357.000km hmmmmmmm.......... Nevertheless a super clean car. That engine compared to its competitors M/S62, Audi 4.2, this 5.5L is 10x more reliable.

While you can't tell which exact model it is just by looking at the trunk because there is no badge on it, you can actually tell it isn't one of the two V6 options (petrol-diesel doesnt matter), because of the single exhaust. V6s have the dual exhaust. Nice video!

VAMOOOOOOOOOO jajajaja. I'd love to know if these 3.0 NA engines are any less reliable than the E46 engines. I almost got an e46 convertible from 2006, but rust is an issue and the hardtop is tempting. which one should I get? only straight 6 non-turbo engines. 335 is not an option. 4cil isn't either.

In 6th gear, I get 32 mpg on the highway. Just resist the temptation to stick your foot in it 😊

As a driver of a CGI 200 C-Class, wagon, who was also shopping for a coupe, you nailed the plus’s of these cars. Another feature not mentioned is the excellent steering response. A Benz service manager told me that the 204s have the best driving feel of any of the 2000s C-Class models to date. My car has the optional pop up screen with back up camera, which eliminates the issues with the HAL 9000 LEDs on your car. Buy another? Yes, especially a diesel.

Loved this! They did age well. I was actually considering one of these last year when I was car shopping, because I've never driven/had a convertible, and currently married with no kids it's a perfect moment to have a silly non-practical car. I was considering this or maybe an MX-5 NC with retractable hard top as well. But that one even with the roof up has a non existent space without "rear seats" or a boot that could be used for more than a grocery bag. This one on the other hand, I can imagine being surprisingly practical if you're clever enough 😁

ive found one at 2500 euro at a very good shape no rust 250k km and it was fully repaired at 246k km looks really good and i hope by the time i get enough money that its still available

As someone who previously owned AMGs... here in Australia I get a lot more comments, a lot more people walking up to me asking "What its that, it's gorgeous!" Which I don't particularly care about, but it is an observation. The Giulia QV is a car that I can't imagine I'll ever get sick of, and the only plan to sell it would be to get another one. Oh, and it's been completely reliable. Unlike the AMGs.
