  • It has been one year since this Dacia is my(wife) daily driver, i am quite content with how it drives and how efficient it is.
    Confort wise it is pretty decent and well position within its market.
    It lacks in some design features especially in the ergonomics field, where it seems to have been designed by a kid or that all the extra features were forgotten and the added on as quickly as possible.
    Overall i would say it is a fine car and well worth its price somewhere around the 21000€ mark as of today, one year ago it costed 18000€.
    I hope the review helps even a bit those who are at least considering in driving one.

    A very lovable little car, very suitable for us for city/suburban use. It's an ideal second car and I run it for free when charged from my own solar panels. It's become a favorite of my family. We see more and more of them here in Hungary as well. Have a lot of fun driving it!

      Yeah same here, there are a lot of so called petrol heads that keep telling me how bad it is... :))
      The truth is that for what it costs it deliveres everything!
      Very useful little car.

    Thanks for the good idea to make review after one year ! :)
    We are from Bulgaria and we are planing to buy Spring from Romania soon (because they are cheaper there) for my wife to drive around the city ( Veliko Tarnovo) and near cities because she is a lawyer and she works mainly in our region.
    Can you give me some advice about it - we heard that if you buy it with the voucher you cannot sell it until the contract ends after one year. I see some guys here are making business and some how they are manage to import cheap brand new cars with Romanian numbers and they selling them here.
    Thanks !

    • @GarajPif
      @GarajPif  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello,if you buy it using the state vouchet, you are not allowed as a romanian citizen to sell it during the first year, some are selling it during that time via a notar( lawyer) as a sort of renting contract for that period, after one year the car belongs to you.
      The alternative is to buy a car one year old directly, you have warranty for the battery for the first 8 years and the whole car for 3 years or 100kkm.
      As an electric car it doesn't have turbo, intercooler, airflow meter, injectors, pistons, gearbox,etc so there isn't much that can brakedown.
      Thus i would recommend buying a car older than one year.

    Question after one year of use: do you have any idea, roughly, how many kWh/100km the Spring would consume in ECO mode at steady 85/90km/h, at around 0 degrees celsius and with very minimum heating or no heating at all?

    • @GarajPif
      @GarajPif  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello,i have only used the car with the heating turned on (max heat-2nd blow speed) it should consume around 12kwh of power, just like in the summer time with no other consumers turned on.
      I mean every electric engine should consume the same power regardless the temperature (reasonable ones, the ones that do not affect the material properties of the building material).
      On a tipical winter day -20°C,-2°C it consumes somewhere around 16-18kwh, i use the same heating setting for both temps as my routes are generally 2-5 km(8-15mins).
      So the range goes to arround 120-140 km during winter, but of course you cannot use all 100% of the battery to the practical range is around 80-110km below -2°C.
      On a sunny 6°C it works without heating, i don't feel the need for it.
      During winter you also have to factor in the fact that between 16:45-07:30 you have to use the lights as it is quite dark, another good consumer.

  • @martiniliyanov
    @martiniliyanov ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the review. If you travel more than the range, what is the procedure - do you charge it for short or full time?

    • @GarajPif
      @GarajPif  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, i do not get the question, i always charge it on the Type 2 plug, for around 3 hours, all the time!
      I charge it on the CCS plug 3-4 times i think.

    • @Simon-xi8tb
      @Simon-xi8tb ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GarajPif So you don't make long trips then. The parent comment asked you a very reasonable question. He want to know how long do you charge it on long trips. If there are any fast charging options and how long does it charge if you use the fast charger . Clear enough for you now ?

    • @GarajPif
      @GarajPif  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Simon-xi8tb it sure is now!
      I do not really make long trips, the longest was 125 miles a there and return trip.
      There are quite a lot of options for fast CCS charges within a range of 80 miles, a charge from 10% battery to 100% battery at 20°C takes around 45 minutes and at -5°C takes around 1.5 hours.
      You can check the availability and type of chargers around you using PlugShare App.
      Finding out how long your car would charge its also easy, a Type 2 Charger pumps around 7 kw/hr a CCS charger pumps 50-100kw/hr,. Depending on your car's charging capabilities you can do the math.

    • @GarajPif

      Hello, i would say that you cannot, anyway you would need to be a romanian citizen to benefit from all the incentives, which add up to almost 11000€.

      Buy used 1 or 2y old, still has 6-7 years warranty on the battery. Guys in Ruse and Silistra import these regularly, 2-3 at a time, all used from Romania. I bought one at 19k km only for example, for 11.5k Eur - sure, more than OP with his government support for a new one, but half the price of a new one in Bulgaria. They service it here without a problem, just make sure you get its service book and all its documents.
