    The blue wire from the Pro Link is Analog 2, not 1 as described at 9:00.

    I had to use perimeters in instructions to make mine read same in hp tuners as it did on gauge.

    When I cut my obd port of it had about 15 extra wires in there lol. Just tied them back. We'll see if it connects to software tomorrow 🤞 good video

    Only thing is, the OBDII version of the gauge (30-0334) "speaks" OBDII CAN protocol, instead of the AEMNet CAN protocol, like to 30-0300/0310. So, it MAY not work with the ProLink CAN input without being re-flashed back to the 30-0300 firmware. Depending on how HPTuners implements the interface.

      it worked perfect first try this way when i did it on the MPVI2 and the latest software update as of when this was recorded. i have had some viewers say they needed to adjust parameters to what AEM had in the instruction... not sure why tho unless they were wonky before they started this process or were not on the latest HP tuners update.

    How to I connect pro link cable to my aem 30-0300? Not quite understood as to how do it properly .

    Or you can use the AEM 30-0300 and connect it through the EGR or other unused sensor in HP without buying ProLink stuff.

    • @GonzosGarage
      @GonzosGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is true but when you start tuning multiple vehicles a week and its not your car you dont want to start rigging up stuff to there harness.

    Okay so ive got the AEM 30-0300 x series gauge. Can i use the CAN high and low wires instead of analog inputs to connect to my ProLink? I will have the whole Pro Features Kit.

    I got a 2002 Ws6 Trans Am. I bought a new HP tuners MPVI2 standard and a new AEM 30-0300 wideband. So If i buy this HP tuners pro link and wire it up like you shown in this video, I will be able to data log?

      only if u have the pro feature set purchased for ur mpvi2. u can use the same wires but run it to ur Serial port on ur laptop.

    Where I should connect the black and red wires that are in the other side of the connector

    • @greggorham5257
      @greggorham5257 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was just about to type the same. I'm assuming based on instructions they need to be on a key on wire and ground. My confusion is that the MPVI2 already has power so I'm assuming this power is for the gauge if you install. I will try without and then if something is off I will know to connect these.

    Okay, so let me get this right. If I have the original mvpi2 non pro, and buy that $34 USB cable from hp tuners, follow your video, the aem wideband will work and log afr on my non canbus 2000 Corvette??

    • @GonzosGarage
      @GonzosGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No... well not sure... I dont think it will work with out purchasing the pro feature. I purchased the pro feature and then did this because I wanted the MPVI2 to match the ease of the original MPVI Pro so I could quickly go from car to car.

    Did you need to purchase the pro software as well or just the pro link cable

    • @zachpijanowski
      @zachpijanowski 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll need to purchase the Pro Features Set for the MPVI2. It includes the software and the pro link cable for $249.99. I just bought mine.

  • @lordandprotector
    @lordandprotector 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice surgery :) Keep those spare pins, though... The ProLink will eventually be able to read the 30-0300/0310 CAN data directly. Which is better than either the analog or OBDII data connection :)
