I spent the 500.00 for books, your videos are what us tuners need to understand what we are doing. Love the methods and approach you use. Books just say max this or that. Keep it up loving all the videos I have watched. Thanks!
Us tuners? 😂 Your asking questions a don't know how to tune. I really hope you ain't touching anyone else's cars. Close the hood an step away from the car. Your hands don't belong touching a car.
This channel has given me the confidence that I’ll be be able to tune myself one day. I’m not there yet, but Im confident I will be eventually. So clear and to the point.
Working with an 04 5.3 Tahoe, im just doing my research on tuning, do i have to keep the trans module in the read/write file, or can i only do the engine since i wont be changing anything with the transmission file/tune? Im wanting to learn the parameters of the engine and its behaviors before i do some work to it (cam, headers, exhaust, intake). Thanks.
I am not a pro tuner and just tune my own cars. If I had a dollar for every time I copied tune information manually in the compare tune I'd have a lot of dollars. I had no effing idea you could copy selected differences or COPY ALL DIFFERENCES!!!!! damn it. lol. Thanks for the info and the video!
I don't know how it took me SO long to find you but, BOY, I'm glad I did!! Your knowledge of the HPT software is impressive. Your teaching style is void of Ego - LOVE THAT! Good Job, Matt!! I wish there was a way to search in the scanner too - is there??
Great video and very helpful. I see you have a 2008 Vortec Max file. I am currently finishing up an LS swap with a 2008 L76 and 4L65e from a Vortec Max into a square body K10. Complete donor truck still in the yard. Seems to run fine with a fuel pump off a separate relay? Can I simply disable the FSCM to clean things up? Also looking for info on any basic performance tuning tips for this ECM / TCM. Everything will be stock except for a cold air intake and custom exhaust. I will keep all sensors except the secondary O2 sensors after the cats. Any tips or advice for this setup would be great. Cheers
Videos are amazing and super helpful! I need some help on startup. It’s like fueling isn’t there off the rip, after cranking for 30 seconds it fires. Please help❤️
We need to know where and how to schedule....our LSA Caprice needs a little review and possibly the Nova, new rear end and exh system. Were also doing one of our other Caprices over Thanksgiving and building an OBS truck for ourselves..Just keep us in your loop. Thank you. @@Matt_Sanford
Hello Math i really like your videos iam trying to learn how to tune. I have a 85 oldsmobile 442 with a 5.3 with a sloppy stage 2 cam and some bolt ons is it possible that i can have you look at it and have you help me with it. I don't expect it to be free iam just new the tuning.
Idk how quick you are to respond, but brother! I AM in desperate need of some help with a 06 gto. I had a tuner brick my ecm. Got one from flagship one, it acts just like the bricked unit. Even a code scanner can't communicate with it. Now I have a tbss ecm with the same service number that will communicate with a code scanner. But at this point I'm kinda afraid to attempt trying to make it work. When the tuner bricked my stock 06 gto ecm he tried doing a write entire on it I suspect using a different gtos file. I have my original tune file. But idk what I need to do to make the tbss ecm work or if I even can..
so not sure if you know this or not you can buy a detachable HD similar to a mybook they are anywhere from 1tb to 20+ fairly cheap and thats alot of storage if you need it
HP Tuners log files will not slow down your computer. not at all. ever. literally, for any reason. that's not how your computer works. The temporary internet files on your computer per webpage visited in 5 seconds has more files and data than your HP tuners log folder.
@@joeylawell3590 no dude. no. just no. doesn't matter with SSD. your not reading and writing data like that at all lol. false info broski. You need not worry about how many log files you have at all. if your folder is opening up slow try clearing thumbnail cache maybe. files don't slow computers down.

These are great tips! Def didn't know a few like the way to delete a controller, super helpful. Saves me from having to re-read the vehicle.

The auto save log feature started in Version 3 IIRC. Definitely in Version 4. Didn't have that feature in version 2...
Do you need the MPVI3 for this to work or can you connect directly to the ecu?
On compare files does it matter if the operating system? Trying to help a buddy but afraid of bricking the computer
could I possibly use an sct cord for the hptuners software on my laptop? it's hdmi to obd2 so I figured I could hook mu laptop up and lod the file on

Right unless you're using a hard drive most computers run SSD now
