Can I send you a link to a video showing what it looks like and how they did it?" I think phrasing it that way, you won't come across as thinking they don't know what they're doing. It's better than going in with a picture on a model that doesn't show all the sides, which usually leaves it up to interpretation from the stylist, and it's never what you had hoped it would turn out. At least that's how it ends up for me 🙂
Yes, but he had the most beautiful model too! She was already perfect and didn't need anything other than a haircut. The others had a LOT more work done to make their models to look better, they added heavy makeup and haircolor to make them look better. Justin's model has a perfect face and already did her minimal makeup perfectly. He didn't have to add anything. Plus she seems to be a very pleasant person to be around! So he had the advantage from the beginning. There was no contest really, there was no way that he wouldn't win this! And that bob shape is really perfect for her!

A great cut & color can range anywhere from $80-$200 (reasonable) & up (which is never pay no matter who it is, lol), depending on location & how skilled the hair stylist is. Good luck!

I think all the stylist did a great job ,but my favorite was Justin's ,because he really captured her bone structure and added more dimension by adding slight color change and angel to her hair .complementing her features. All of you are winners and true artists .
"This view doesn't suck" is an understatement; she is stunning! This style and color absolutely enhanced the beauty she already had and I think her goal was achieved for her. This makes me want to get mine done this way and similar to the way it was back in the early 90s except I was a blonde and had bangs. I think I'd still like to pop it with fantasy color underneath. I absolutely love the cut and color that Justin did. It did so much more for his model than the other two stylists’ methods/results with less “gimmick”. His model can wash, dry and go and look amazing! Also, I learned so much from his explanation of the “how and why” of this cut that I feel much more confident in getting the perfect Bob for me.

Whoa! Kudos to all for accepting the challenge, showing each process (and addressing possible pitfalls), while having fun with it, too! What an entertaining AND educational video to watch! From a ‘mature’ woman’s perspective, I have to pick JUSTIN. His ability to cut lift and shape into a flattering style for one’s face shape is really amazing. And then, he knows how to use subtle lowlights to enhance that style without adding a lot of maintenance and a stressful grow-out if Susan decides to change it up later on. Paradoxically, that subtly seemed to make the biggest change and really created a “youthful,”vibrant look for his model. (Glad she trusted him: Her increased confidence is noticeable at the end!) Also, I appreciated the links and respect shown to the other stylists! There is always more to learn!

I think all 3 did an amazing job! I loved the color that Summer did! Gabi’s updo, and make-up made her model look so polished! However, I do believe Justin’s was the best! It did everything he said it would. It brought your eye upward and the bangs at cheek level, enhanced her cheekbones and the low lights, added dimension!

That is an excellent cut and the lowlights are so well blended they look natural. I love how we have all these great techniques now to make hair look "natural" in ways that flatter 🙂
LOVE the one you did, Justin! It is my favorite by far. The lowlights are perfect for the gray (which is gorgeous by the way). I understand why she was hesitant to add color after growing it out, but not having any grow-out to worry about and getting that fantastic dimension is an absolute winner. Well done!!! I just got through watching all 3 videos. Justin, you definitely take 1st place - what you did just with your model's hair is such an amazing transformation! She's beautiful to start with, but you made her stunning! Judging on hair only (since only 1 of you did makeup anyway), 2nd place goes to Summer and 3rd to Gabi (but she rates mucho kudos for the great makeup job). Would love to see the 3 of you do this again using identical triplets (and, maybe, no makeup change). Also would love to see you all do a collaborative using just one model!

JUSTIN - WINNER I don’t want my hairstylist praying to the “hair gods“ for good results, or wondering if the color she is applying is going to work with my skin tone. That scares the bloody hell out of me. If I heard my stylist praying, I would be out the front door before she had the color mixed. I want my hair stylist to be experienced, and confident regarding the best style for my hair type and face shape. Justin is the winner…and not by a “hair.”
If I had known about this haircut/makeover challenge when it was taking place, I would have voted! HANDS DOWN, it's YOU JUSTIN!! I would like/love to have you cut my hair as soon as it grows out enough after only having it cut about a month ago by a lovely young gal who I like very much but is not very experienced and at this point doesn't have the skill of a talented hair stylist.
All 3 are stunning transformations, but I have to vote Justin's perfect bob as No. 1 . It is just perfection. I just had a bad colour experience with my gray hair - it turned blue, green, then the correction made it yellow. I had to have 11" cut off and a red toning gloss to begin a correction process. The technical tips of this cut and the lowlights are something I'll bring up with my stylist. Someday I would love to have a Justin hair makeover. This client's hair is versatile, flattering and looks beautiful. Well done!

LOVE the one you did, Justin! It is my favorite by far. The lowlights are perfect for the gray (which is gorgeous by the way). I understand why she was hesitant to add color after growing it out, but not having any grow-out to worry about and getting that fantastic dimension is an absolute winner. Well done!!! I have only one suggestion: I would love to have seen the back!

I loved what Justin did much better than any of the others he’s the winner for me . I’m 64 would love that haircut but my husband can’t stand lengths longer in fron shorter in back . But I feel this is very subtle love it

I just got through watching all 3 videos. Justin, you definitely take 1st place - what you did just with your model's hair is such an amazing transformation! She's beautiful to start with, but you made her stunning! Judging on hair only (since only 1 of you did makeup anyway), 2nd place goes to Summer and 3rd to Gabi (but she rates mucho kudos for the great makeup job). Would love to see the 3 of you do this again using identical triplets (and, maybe, no makeup change). Also would love to see you all do a collaborative using just one model!

I’ve worn a Bob many times throughout the years and always loved it, but am enjoying my shoulder length hair so much, you’re definitely the winner and oh how I wish I could have an appointment with you!!

I don’t want my hairstylist praying to the “hair gods“ for good results, or wondering if the color she is applying is going to work with my skin tone. That scares the bloody hell out of me. If I heard my stylist praying, I would be out the front door before she had the color mixed.
I want my hair stylist to be experienced, and confident regarding the best style for my hair type and face shape.

If I had known about this haircut/makeover challenge when it was taking place, I would have voted! HANDS DOWN, it's YOU JUSTIN!! I would like/love to have you cut my hair as soon as it grows out enough after only having it cut about a month ago by a lovely young gal who I like very much but is not very experienced and at this point doesn't have the skill of a talented hair stylist.

All 3 are stunning transformations, but I have to vote Justin's perfect bob as No. 1 . It is just perfection. I just had a bad colour experience with my gray hair - it turned blue, green, then the correction made it yellow. I had to have 11" cut off and a red toning gloss to begin a correction process. The technical tips of this cut and the lowlights are something I'll bring up with my stylist. Someday I would love to have a Justin hair makeover. This client's hair is versatile, flattering and looks beautiful. Well done!
