  • In this weeks video, we finish up the Barn to Brat project and take it on its final test ride. We drug this bike out of a barn and turned it into one of my favorite builds to date. Stay tuned the next build is just around the corner.

    Put a small bracket on the exhaust. When you go over bumps it'll be putting a lot of stress on those exhaust studs

    Hey man! Thanks for your awesome build videos. I'm building out an 83' CB650 Nighthawk Brat style and I'm struggling with how to mount the tank that I have. The bike came with no stock tank, only a 74' Cb750 tank. It's been hammered down to fit the frame bar width, but I'm not sure how to go about adjusting the bushings location and adding a new attachment point to the frame. I'm not a welder. Your videos are great because they show how much easier this stuff would be if you can weld, but is there a way to do these things without welding? Or should I just go find a professional to fabricate me something?

    Taylor, great build. Simple question, what did you use for the license plate holder? Did you weld something up or buy something? If you bought something, what is it? I need one for a cafe racer that I built. Right now my plate is mounted to a light mounted at the rear of the seat pan. I've had the rear tire hit the plate a few times. Whatever you're using looks perfect.

  • @littlewingpsc27
    @littlewingpsc27 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Without a rear fender your battery box is at risk for getting all kinds of crud thrown up into it. Not good for all those electronics. Might want to add some kind of deflection plate to protect it. You might want to have a 3D printed part made for the gap between the fuel tank and seat.

    My OCD is struggling with the gap between the gas tank and the seat, and the missing front fender/ bracket, that results in less tolerance to torsion on the suspension, in the rest really nice build.

    • @Outlander.-.
      @Outlander.-. 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Serious question... How would the front fender/bracket effect torsion? I was gonna ditch mine cause I like the look.

      Zach Sisson with a bike with a single disk brake up front using the brake can exert more force on one fork and tweak the front end of there isn’t some kind of brace or fender.
