So glad I have never lost my faith I truly believe in Jesus having been through so much surgery and medical complications. Hope that this young lady finds her way back to Christ. John 3:16 For God So Loved the World.
Born in a non Christian country, surrounded by gentiles all my life, there is a CLEAR effect on our way of thinking and outlook of life. Things like Karma, horoscopes, voodoo etc are very prevalent while Confession, mercy and suffering for Christ are misunderstood. I’d love to be dragged back into the “Christian bubble”. These people who crave multiculturalism have, have no idea how difficult it is to be Christian among gentiles!
Great video. I hear these same arguments all the time, even from my ex-wife. The truth is out there (in the Bible, and in testimonies), but the media and entertainment industry have done a great job of convincing people that they don't need God's truth, they can get along just fine in life with the enemies truth.
@@maxpotenza9868 I found your comment fascinating. Usually it’s men that leave the faith, not women. Curious: Would you believe testimonies for any other supernatural claim outside the Bible?
@@melbied6215 Yes, I would believe someone's testimony of any other supernatural claim outside of the Bible as being the truth from the perspective of their belief system, but I view it through the spiritual lenses of my Biblical belief system. For example, if someone testified that they had an encounter with an spiritual guide that revealed to them something from their past that no one else could ever have known, then I would believe that that did happened to them. However, I see it as a medium communicating with the spiritual world against God's will - Leviticus 19:31. So this is a tricky question to answer because "yes" I can believe supernatural testimonies outside of the Bible, but "no". because I seem to find a way to always bring it back to the Bible.
20:03 I would throw this right back in a Christians face and say: You only find Christianity to be true because you want it to be true and therefore only accept evidence that confirms your desire. This is what you just said about an Atheist. If both sides can throw the same argument at each other, it isn't a point worth making.
One problem is understanding what is meant by having a personal relationship with Jesus, where it is used as a vague term and seems to mean different things to different Christians. You mention about having your heart in the right place to see the same debate differently and I would somewhat agree, meaning if you replace heart with emotions, an irrational person will see the same debate differently than a rational person. It is not even just about how rational a person is but also how knowledgeable a person is, meaning you can see the same debate differently if you are unable to catch the mistakes made because you don't know enough to recognize them as mistakes. Whether it be irrationality or a level of cognitive dissonance, the individual is often unaware they are the ones not seeing reality properly. I think there are plenty of good emotional reasons to become a Christian, but intellectually it is far less defensible. This statement doesn't make sense to a Christian, but it makes a lot of sense to an ex-Christian. Put differently, it is in asking the right questions that causes people to intellectually see Christianity has no good answers. This doesn't necessarily mean there is no truth in the biblical God and Jesus, it only means there are problems with the writers delivering that truth and Christians giving poor reasoning and excuses to defend the writers. It also doesn't mean the writers got it all wrong, there are plenty of truths in the bible that even non-Christians can agree with. Unfortunately it is the most important issues of Christianity that are ambiguous and lack good support where you either accept it and believe or you don't. If a personal relationship with Jesus actually meant Jesus was directly talking to you, it wouldn't matter what the bible says because you are directly connected to the source. However, I don't think this is what Christians have, they either mean Jesus is talking to them through the bible or they believe Jesus is talking to them through signs that they interpret or both. This could mean you need a level of cognitive dissonance to have that relationship, which also means when that cognitive dissonance dissipates, you are left with an ex-Christian, which happens frequently and not just to the common folks but with people who really know the bible and its history where we have ex-preachers, ex-ministers, ex- priests and biblical scholars who study the bible and its history and are not persuaded to become Christians. So my question to you is what do you mean by a personal relationship with Jesus? Atheists certainly have beliefs but atheism is technically not a belief or belief system. You have to look at it from the perspective of who is claiming "something". Theists are claiming a God exists. The reasonable question to ask is how do you know of this existence? Theists cannot answer this question to a degree of satisfaction to "know" that a God exists, thus you have people who don't believe the claim to be true, but they also cannot know the claim is false. This leads to agnosticism and agnostic atheists. Some atheists actively believe no Gods exists, but most atheists are agnostic atheists, meaning they are certainly open to a case for God existing being made, but have not yet found that case. However, reasonable people if a Godly Intelligence is discovered to be required, will ask how many Gods/Goddesses are involved? If it could be learned that a single God is involved, are any religions about this God correct? If no religion is 100% correct, which religions contain partial truths and what are those truths? Most Christians skip this line of reasoning and just jump to what they want to believe or what they have been taught to believe.

@@scottguitar8168 first, God is a Spirit. No one can prove Him to you. Spirits don’t have flesh, and can’t be seen with the human eye. You can’t see your spirit. Anyways, to me, knowing God means you learn to trust him. Like in a marriage, you learn how to trust each other over time. God isn’t going to interact with you like a human would. He interacts in a deeper level from Spirit to spirit. I can expand on that if you’d like. But if you need external evidence for the God of Israel today, look at UN2030, the evolution of artificial intelligence, the fact that Jews are in the land of Palestine today, the gospel message has survived 2000 years, nuclear war rumors, and the Middle East conflict. All this is going on NOW. No coincidence
Ephesians 3:14-19 ESV For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with the power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-that you being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. We let the spirit of Christ enter our hearts so that we are changed. This passage talks about the love of Christ surpassing our knowledge, the knowledge of what a typical relationship would look like in your case. If we seek God with all our heart, we will find him.
When she started talking about God like one might talk about a toxic ex-boyfriend or something...😅 God isn't "lacking boundaries". He isn't full of "red flags". (How would one even begin to set boundaries with God? "Listen I really like you, but you have to stop calling me at 3am every day"???? 🤨 I don't think that's how it works.) He literally created us, He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with us and He's deeply saddened that so many of us are choosing to walk away from Him. We call Him our Father, but how we see the term "father" in an earthly sense doesn't even come close to Him and His love for us. I think this lady is deeply hurt and she's projecting something onto God. Her mother was/is an addict which probably gives us a clue and even though she didn't elaborate on what her dad was like, he did die when she was young and that alone can be very traumatizing. Oh and she grew up as a fundamentalist... I know not all fundamentalists are cray-cray, but there are some really unhinged ones and it may very well be that the church she used to go to was horrible at its job. I'm really sad that when she began questioning her faith and God, instead of trying to find out information to strengthen her faith she seems to have just thought "oh well what's the point here, I'm already doubting so f it." 😢 Personally I never knew true faith when I was growing up, I even tried to find a meaning from paganism and atheism when I wad a teenager... Lord never forgot me, He never gave up on me, never stopped calling me home. Before I came to Christ, me and my husband had been trying for a baby for six months with no success. One day I visited a church and I was flooded with emotions... just days before I'd made yet another negative pregnancy test, I felt lost and had began thinking that something is wrong with me. I wasn't intentionally praying, but God heard my thoughts, because literally thr next month we found out that we're having a baby. If that wasn't a "girl hellooo, I'm here???" from Him, I don't know what was, because even though didn't start believing right then, I never forgot what had happened. It took four years, but I got there. My life is forever changed and every day I thank Lord for not giving up on me, a foolish sheep wandering in the desert, He remembered me by name out of millions of others and searched for me. Now I'm a catechumen in my local orthodox church, the very same one that I visited all those years ago.

The problem is that, many Christians don't understand that bible is not the word of God but God talked, continues to talk and will talk to people is through the bible. The bible is not the science book but the spiritual book. In fact when people find a apparent contradiction in a bible ( the print paper ), they consolidate thier doubt. So people need the word of God, the verb not the bible, the verb is spiritual. It's the verb which breaks any doubts, which breaks a stone heart. While it's common on the larger apologetics channels, it's unusual to see so many sneering comments from atheists on a smaller "Christian living" channel. I seriously wonder if it's because (judging by your accent) you are a born-again Christian in a highly secular European country. This may annoy some anti-religion big0ts because it challenges ideas they take comfort in, including that Christianity is dead in the West and that people only become Christian because their family and culture are Christian
I feel you focused too much on "correcting" this girls testimony rather than trying to listen or understand it. For example she brings up how hell isnt in the old testament, you showed a video of a guy saying yes "hell" isnt in the bible and that that people can more or less compare it to hell, then you say something contrary and sat that hell is separation of god instead of the torment that the bible and the clip you brought up said. But to flatly say that the bible doesnt have mistakes is just incredibly ignorant. I dont mean that as an insult though it might be insulting. There are hundreds to thousands of mistakes in the bible and even the theology. To flatly say its perfect is either dishonest or ignorant. It doesnt take much effort to think of examples or research them like you suggested. The sun, stars, and sky is not evidence that a god exists. I dont think i need to explain why as its common sense. Atheism isnt a religion. Worshipping jesus or "having a relationship with jesus" is part of a religion... Overall i feel this entire video is redundant with any familiarity with christian theology or apologetics.
Hell is all over the Old Testament. For example, Deuteronomy 32:22 [22]For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. Or Job 11:8 [8]It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? Or how about Psalms 9:17 [17]The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. Hell is mentioned 33 times in the Old Testament. The problem is that most people make claims and have never even read the entire Bible. Jesus Christ and Christianity is not a religion but a narrow doorway that not many will enter due to lustful, selfish, and perverted ways that are chosen over the Almighty love of Jesus Christ. Religion was created by man because of indifferences.

The mindset of the human/God relationship being unhealthy comes from our culture not understanding the holiness and uniqueness of God. People think "well, I wouldn't have done that thing that God did." Which is true and good, because we are people who have no right to pronounce judgement in the way that God does. We think of God as another person like us instead of the all good, all powerful creator of everything. That confuses our understanding of the relationship between God and man.
Nope. It’s unhealthy because the Bible demonstrates the Christian gods having a desire and preference for one thing then often doing the opposite. He doesn’t follow his own word or example; and thus is not perfect.

This is such a hard thing to watch. Yes, there is proof of God even if you were to go with The Big Bang Theory. What created the big Bang? Something outside of space and time, something that spoke forth Energy waves.
What "created" the big bang. Answer "nobody knows". The greatest scientific minds on the planet have some hypotheses, but unfortunately I don't understand the language of the insanely complex math that underpins these ideas. What I do know however is that none of them conclude that a god did it.
It wouldn't be proof. That's a god of the gaps argument. Even if that is true the god of the bible is not real and it along with most religious texts are man made mythology. The god you talk about is just a like spinozas god where god is the force of nature. But a god like that is not even a conscious agent but a force like gravity

I agree something had to CAUSE (using the word “create” smuggles in your conclusion) the Big Bang. I think the Bible looks like a book of contradictions to everyone. But over time and with God's help those contradictions fade away. I think some people not all but some look for faults to justify going back to their sinful lives so they can claim this is one big lie. TC
It is beyond ridiculous to suggest that someone would leave Christianity to sin, because doing so guarantees damnation even if you never sin. Staying Christian however allows you to sin without consequence providing you repent. If you truly want to know why someone isn't a Christian just ask yourself why aren't you a Muslim or Hindu? I bet the answer isn't "because I want to sin against these gods".
You "think"? That's silly. People do not generally leave religion to justify going back to "sinful" lives. When I left my faith, I wasn't looking for faults, I was looking for truth. The claims of Christianity didn't hold up under scrutiny. It's that simple.

He literally created us, He wants to have a personal, intimate relationship with us and He's deeply saddened that so many of us are choosing to walk away from Him.
I'm really sad that when she began questioning her faith and God, instead of trying to find out information to strengthen her faith she seems to have just thought "oh well what's the point here, I'm already doubting so f it." 😢
Personally I never knew true faith when I was growing up, I even tried to find a meaning from paganism and atheism when I wad a teenager...

Overall i feel this entire video is redundant with any familiarity with christian theology or apologetics.
Atheism is definitely a religion. The most important part of being an atheist is to deny that it’s a religion.
Hell is all over the Old Testament. For example, Deuteronomy 32:22

[8]It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? Or how about Psalms 9:17
[17]The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Also science and atheism has no answer either. They simply remain happily in the dark that there is no answer or that one day we’ll answer it somehow.
Big panel of atheists and naturalists recently had a round table where they discuss a lot of these topics….Dawkins and the like
They all admitted that life and the fine tuning of the universe itself demands that’s there is evidence of design and purposeful resource management on a cellular level… but to remind themselves that it’s not a god.
That sounds like a science of the Gaps….
Enlightenment thinkers and modern science was literally born out of Christian values, and the few atheist enlightment thinkers that were vocal will make u think their shit don’t stink.
Hume and Voltaire said some repugnant things about dark people.
@downenout8705 I'll tell you what created the big bang. I learned it in science class. Energy waves, which are vibrations for more than likely. The big bangs creation when we speak. We produce energy. God spoke the world into existence, so he created the big bang. God is spiritual outside of time and space. It's also energy. We can not see the wind, but we can feel it.
I agree something had to CAUSE (using the word “create” smuggles in your conclusion) the Big Bang. Of course we don’t know yet, but much more likely it was quantum fields, which we have actual evidence for.
First you would need to have evidence this God exists before you can even begin to ascribe actions to it.
I’m sad for her… there’s only 2 ways… either you are heading up or down… follow Jesus ❤🙏🏻
❤️🙏
Yep, nothing like the Christian "hate" of a thinly veiled threat of extreme eternal torture, when you lack a coherent 1 Peter 3: 15 response.
@downenout8705 yea it's wild bro. Do what the bible said god said to do or be mercilessly tortured for eternity. But god loves you right??😂😂
On a serious note, you think heaven and he'll are real. Do you simply have to follow jesus to get into heaven? Are Muslims going to your hell? Who gets to come with you to heaven. You seriously think because this girl doubts and rationally comes to a conclusion different than you means she going to hell. What if she became atheist but tried to live a life as moral perfectionist. Does she go to hell still??
Hell ain't real bub neither is heaven. Keep believing in fairytale and judging people.
Please provide evidence for your claim that I'm heading either up or down. The Bible doesn't count as evidence, because it is the claim.
I think the Bible looks like a book of contradictions to everyone. But over time and with God's help those contradictions fade away. I think some people not all but some look for faults to justify going back to their sinful lives so they can claim this is one big lie. TC
@@muppetonmeds 💯💯
@@ErikInPortland You might need to reread my comment I never said it was the general of people I said some of the people. If that wasn't your case that's fine. And if you are living a clean life who am I to complain? Have a good night.
@@muppetonmeds I know what you said. And it doesn't matter if it's "some" or "all." You made an assertion that you can't back up and you assume a lot.
🤣Yes! Angry bald guy. I like him, despite his abrasiveness. Sharp as they come.
Yes, Sam has some good points! God bless him
When you cross, reference the Bible and examine each and every verse. You will find out that it does not contradict itself. And that God is extremely clear and what his expectations are or desires are for us. And you will find his desires are good. Yes, he has to dish out Justice. But he does not want anybody to go to hell. Just read second, Peter 3 and you will see.
The bible can not go past its first 2 chapters before it contradict itself. Genesis 1 and 2 don't have the same order of creation.
In genesis 1: plants > animal > humans(male and female)
In genesis 2: human male > plants > animals > human female
@drinjj I believe you were misinterpreting it. The part in Genesis 2 you are referring to is talking about when God made a garden. In addition to the creation he had already made. I hope you are choosing to read the whole entire chapter.
It'll give you a better understanding. I just narrowing in. Sometimes, even chapters are not completion of thought So you may have to read all the way into the next chapter to know when the essay is done or literature is done. Because the Bible was not originally made with chapters, it is actually a library of books. on a verse here or there....
@@zariahlafleurpowell7028 oh, I'm not misinterpreting. Genesis 2:5 say there was no plant yet. So the garden god planted was actually the first plants. Also, even if you were right, you would still be left to explain the contradiction about which came first: animals or humans.
@drinjj I am sorry but when you read verse 4. End 5 it says God had created the plants before the people. They may not have been on the Earth or in the earth, but they were created before people.
@@zariahlafleurpowell7028 i dont agree with your interpretation of 4-5 but in willing to grant it to you. You still have the same problem. Gen 1 state that they were in the ground and growing and producing fruits. Even if the problem is not about the "creation" anymore you still have a contradiction with the order of events. And you have yet to explain the issue with animals.
Just to correct one common mistake... Hell is NOT simply "total separation from God".
Hell is total separation from God's love, mercy, grace.
God will be present in Hell, and those there will be fully in the presence of His wrath.
So many that reject the Gospel say "I don't want to be with your God for eternity anyways"... well, they WILL be with Him.
@@usa2tube Thanks for clarifying! ❤️🙏 That is so true!💯💯🙏 I will be making that more clear in future videos. Once again thank you for pointing that out and God bless you! ❤️
It’s like Psalm 139 says: “I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night- but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.”
It takes work to research to find the contradicti. Since or not there, it takes work to find that there are contradictions. A lot of contradictions are simply misunderstandings
