    It does have a factor. But that's why people throughout christian history have been missionaries. Jesus told the Christians to spread the gospel. He chose to come down at the time of the Roman Empire, which allowed his followers to spread the gospel through a large amount of land. Also a) many Muslims for instance recieve dreams of Jesus. B) many 'christian' countries northern Europe its unlikely for you to be practicing and as time goes on to even be told about Jesus by your family. Atheism is probably much more popular and you may be mocked by your classmates for being a christian family. My own walk is that I was bought up in a half-christian household. I acknowledge that. But I don't need to think I'm only a christian because my mum was. I looked into my faith and questioned it. Others with christian families might not remain christian.

    I grew up hating all religions, thinking they were responsible for every single problem in the world. Things changed gradually until last year in December Jesus appeared to me in a dream. He opened his arms and welcomed me. I cried so much. He could take all the pain. This happened two consecutive nights. I am now thinking about finding a christian community and being baptised. It takes time though and I don't want to go too fast. God is showing me the right pace about this change and I am confident that's for the best.

    These christians confuse what love is. They have to pretend that eternal punishment is fair, and tht their god's killing humans for things they didn't do is fair. Their morality is no more than might equals right. Their god fails to even get close to the description of love in their bible. In that these frauds can't even agree what morals their god wants, or what it considers a "sin", they simply make up what offends them as wht this god would agree with, and surprise, that means they end up with many different gods. And it's amusing since these christians also can't agree on if they want to claim this god sends people to hell or if it doesn't. Some claim that this god does send people to hell, and then others claim that humans send themselves to hell. again, they just make it up.

      How can one “choose” that which one cannot fully fathom or even comprehend? Which is eternal conscious torment? If the choice really were free they’d have to KNOW what it was they were choosing without a shadow of a doubt. People that choose Jesus KNOW what they are choosing, people that “choose” hell don’t. Thus it is illogical to call it free will.

    I'm a Christian but there have been a few things that have been bothering my mind recently. And I'm really hoping someone could help me with this. My main issue isn't so much sending evil people to hell. But it just seems to me, like for the smallest things, people can go to hell. And that God seems to consider things a sin that don't harm other people or are based on how people are natually born. I'm really hoping that part is a misudnerstanding. Another thing is people being sent to hell for not believing the right thing even if they're otherwise good people, when people can't really choose to believe or not beleive. It has to happen naturally.. Yes, we can say that we should seek God for the truth. But for those who don't believe in God, they won't have a reason to go seeking on the word of human beings if they have no sufficient proof. Plus, parents punish their child to correct them and the child knows. That seems different from eternal condemnation. Sorry, I'm just trying to reconcile these things that have been bothering me while trying to keeping my faith. But I usually get shamed for this when I'm not asking myself to feel this way.

    • @Awaifn
      @Awaifn 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sin is still sin, and nothing unclean can enter the purity of Heaven. The magnitude of your actions don't really matter that much. A liar and a murderer, while the liar isn't as bad, both will go to Hell if they do not repent. And all will go to Hell if they don't obey Jesus, because Hell is what humans deserve, but God in his unfathomable love and mercy wants to spare you that torture. I think a nice way to think about the Bible is to read it like a love story. You don't deserve or earn Heaven, much like no one deserves or earns a partner. Heaven, and romance, are gifts you are given. And as for "how people are naturally born", just because you're born a certain way doesn't make it good. And I can surmise you're talking about the condemnation of homosexuality. Well the verse reads something like "a man shall not lay with a man as if he were a woman", it's not talking about homosexual people, it's talking about homosexual intercourse. Being gay isn't sinful, but having gay sex is. You can't control your sexual nature, but you can control your actions in relation to it.

      No one ever chooses eternal torment in hell. Only Christians who ironically never go there themselves think this is a valid argument. If a Christian were to be told by God “you chose to be tormented in hell for all eternity because you condemned all the sinners I loved to hell & they all ran away from me because of you” How would that make you feel? Does that sound like justice? Would you say “okay that makes perfect sense. Thanks for giving me my short life on earth to enjoy. Sorry I made that mistake. I’ll go spend eternity being tormented in hell now. Thanks my loving father for disciplining me for all eternity. I know it’s only because You love me & You are a just God”???

    I always ask several questions to those who believe in eternal, conscious torment. 1. Does Jesus love the people being tortured in hell in the same way he loved them whilst they were alive? 2. Why should we love our enemies when God tortures his enemies forever? 3. If our price for our sins is to be placed in hell forever with the rest of the sinners and the devil and demons, and Jesus paid that price, will Jesus be placed forever in hell with the rest of the sinners and the devil and his angels? 4. If God sends your unsaved mother or father to hell, should we praise him for it? 5. If you believe that sinners will live forever and be tortured, can you name a single scripture that mankind was created with an eternal soul? (Hint - There is nothing in the bible about mankind being created to live eternally - eternal life is only given to those who become Christians)

      Annihilationism is a step up from the basic Christian ECT fear based gospel package, but still not good news. The truly good news is: we have been saved!! Jesus saved us! We are forgiven! We have been justified freely by grace! God loves us! He will never hold our sins against us! Jesus nailed everything against us to the cross! Rejoice, for salvation is of God & not man! According to His mercy HE saved us. His mercy endures forever. His love never fails. Peace on earth & good will toward men! All flesh shall see salvation! God is the Savior of all men! Especially to those who believe this good news & come to know the truth for themselves, which God wills for all men! Through 1 Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men resulting in justification & life! Again I say, rejoice.

      @@MelodyFreeman The Bible clearly states that people can lose their salvation. See Hebrew 6 or Hebrews 10, for instance. I was a Christian for 35 years and wanted to become a pastor but I held back from that because I felt I was too young since I didn't meet the Biblical requirements which the church ignores of being older and having successfully raised children. I was so serious about my faith that I lead Bible studies between shifts at work and my entire heart and life was wrapped up in it. My heart for God was deep and passionate. Then when my devotion lead over many years to a total health collapse as I tried to juggle my Christian walk, my demanding job and finances, my health, my family, and my wife's health, I learned the hard way that Christianity is a false religion. My wife nearly died in the process of my sold out for Jesus lifestyle. By that time extensive study of the Bible had left me with real honest questions and I could not find adequate answers despite my spending my life as an apologist and theologian trying to study and be a Berean. I realized my answers were not adequate but I remained faithful anyway. Eventually I reached a breaking point of deep suffering where I left the faith. I had every reason by then to realize it wasn't true. Since then I have repaired our lives and restored my wife's health and my own most of the way. We are much happier and much more capable of changing people's lives for the better. I still wish I could be a Christian because my life and thousands or hours of study went into that for decades. It's hard to throw that away. I currently continue to engage in counseling practice and many Christian friends come to me for advice. The Christian way to respond to all of the ex-Christians is not to drag them up and debate them on youtube in public. That's a disgrace to air your dirty laundry like that. The fact that you have to discuss these topics is already a defeat for you. Invalidating the stories of others is deeply hurtful. Christians base much of their faith on testimony. Not all testimony is good testimony and unless you can reckon with that then you're not asking real questions. It's easy to set aside people's lives and pretend that they "deserve" hell but in reality that is a very empty and nihilistic way to look at others who are like yourself, human beings.

      @MelodyFreeman the Problem with what you said is you don't know what someone truly thinks. You're denying someone elses faith claim for the sole reason that it would make your faith/religion look bad. Can't have that now can we? What you said is called a No True Scottsman logical fallacy. A true Christian wouldn't do this. Or a real Christian wouldn't do that. You do not decide what truly giving a heart to christ looks like for everyone else. I could just as easily accuse you of not truly giving your heart to christ because you don't follow all of his teachings. No one does. If you did, you would be sinless like god.

    Melody looks to be wrong again. God can send people to hell (a place of eternal conscious torment) if he likes. Just don't try to tell us that God is also perfectly loving. //"... it does not mean that we will get everything we seek out to get ..."// Try Matt 7:7-11 or Matt 21:22 or Mark 11:24 or John 14:13-14 or John 15:7 or John 15:16 or John 16:23-24 ^^ I think those verses do say that if you ask, then God will give. A couple are a tad weird in that you have to have faith that God will give, and then you will see that he has done so. But the lass appears to be correct and Melody looks to be wrong. ^^^ At the very least, the bible does not appear to be the clear word from God to humans.

    Oh dear. This kind of video teaches Christians to be silly. People change their minds all the time about the existence or non existence of all kinds of entities, including all kinds of versions of God. ^^ So do you apply that kind of reasoning every time another person changes their mind about some matter? //[ex believers] they think that "Oh I don't believe in God anymore, therefore he ceases to exist."// That's not how it works. Ex believers once thought that God exists. Now they think that God does not exist. ^^ They do not think that their new belief makes God vanish. They now think that God never existed in the first place. This kind of video teaches Christians to be silly.

    God will test if you're genuine too. I asked and received, wanted to know what was going on, the veil lifted. Now I'm kept in the loop. He also doesn't reward us, he sustains us, so you ask God for what he wants, not what you want, and he provides since he has a better sense of knowing what's best. As far as money, that is the currency of who runs this place, the Accuser, and he has a much bigger demand than God on you, so most are just living in denial and arrogance. I always think of the JFK speech "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" now turns into Elon Musk who is next to Trump saying "Americans aren't worth investing in." But what did America expect for your freedom: the lives of all of your sons at gunpoint to get guns and point them at everyone else - and he calls that freedom. I call it a hostage situation, and that is why Christ came in the first place.
