My family came from Scotland in 1638 got back on the same ship left Mass. to Long Island 1640 because of so many people. It's possible someone could have settled there in 1600 just to get away. Thank you Charlie for sharing a families venture for freedom

💥💥💥💥The well @12:04 is for seasonal living quarters built on the location of a spring/summer live stock grazing site. It might have been a cabin or just a canvas tent fortified with a few wooden braces, which was common in the period, and well documented in the early 1800s. Livestock was your livelihood. They would not be left unattended even a mile away from the home site.
