Your video came up on my feed right now. Over 40 years ago my husband bought me a second wedding band, heavy carved gold, on the occasion of the birth of our first son. A friend came over to babysit and give me a bit of a break. I drove to the beach, sat on the sand for a while, and the ring fell off my hand. I came home and told everyone that I had lost my ring at the beach. Everyone was very sympathetic to me, but I was determined to find that ring so the next day I rented a metal detector and returned to the beach. Everyone told me I was crazy and that I would never find it, etc. etc. Well, I didn’t find it . However, a friendly man with a fancy metal detector came by to find out what I was trying to do (with the world’s crappiest rental metal detector), and within 5 minutes he found my ring, dropped it into the palm of my hand and continued his walk down the beach. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for his kindness to me. When I got home, people were shocked that I had my ring back. I still have that ring and every time I look at it, it reminds me of that story. So Thank you, again, unknown person!
🌸 he was an Angel I am so very happy for you Many yrs ago I was playing with my mom’s good earrings and lost it in our home I was six, my poor mom cleaned from top to bottom both floors and never found it Yrs later we were moving house and the moving men spotted a lose board, he lifted it and below was my mom’s earrings that belonged to her mom, so it was nana’s. We both cried seeing it, that moving chap had most amazing home cooked meal that weekend with his mrs, he was so chuffed, my mom gave him my dad’s old tools, he was so happy to have it because someone stole all his tools. The earrings meant world to my mom and me, to this day I still have them, it reminds me of my beautiful mom 🪔🕊
You sure know how to put a smile on this old woman’s face… only detector I watch. And I screamed with that happy family when you found her ring!! You are the greatest!! I have 3grandsons around your age so I just look at you as family. Keep up the great videos!!😍😍
It's so nice to see people who are genuinely happy and appreciative. That family wouldn't have been as shocked & excited if you gifted them a million dollars.. some things are more important. Awesome video!
When she put it back on her hand she said, " I'm still married " I know she was joking but you could tell how distressed they all had been. This made my day as well.
It would be hard to call someone to come out and help you find a valuable ring and actually trust the person to give it back if found! Good job man. That reaction was priceless from the husband and mom! Good job man!
That is the best feeling in the world to help another person in need. That was so kind of you. Their reaction was priceless. No gold can give the same feeling as the joy you all felt when you gave her ring back to her. You are a special person. ❤
Congratulations! Our son-in-law used to detect. He found a class ring with initials on it from 30 years ago. He looked up class of ** in that school. The owner wore it one day and lost it. He was amazed and so happy. In a lawn 2 inches of dirt had developed over it. I was impressed. What a wonderful service.😊
i second this!! i’m really not a jewelry person at all, and i don’t get the whole being attached to something so much that you don’t even remember to keep it in a safe place?, i can’t get that lol???? but ffs a baby seahorse isn’t a true gem!!!
How wonderful! I lost my platinum and diamond ring years ago...and will never get over it. It was so Marvelous to see you bring hers back to her. They aren't just jewelry...they are love stories.
I just this video and watched you give that girl back her ring. You deserve all the subscribers you can get. Now I’m one of them. Thank you for being such a nice person.
Good job Shawn!! Another ring return--yes happy endings like that make me cry. Thank you for all you do :) Even though I missed hearing you say "freakin' pull tab" I totally love that you found (and showed us all before you released) the little seahorse. GOOD JOB! The world needs more people like you!!
@@TOPDOLLAR777 Have you ever been at the beach and in the water that close to the beach and seen a seahorse? I certainly never have in my many dips in the ocean. Never.
I had no idea they came into the very shallow waters! I've only ever known them to be more deep in the ocean, that was a first for me as well! Never seen that before!
You're such an nice person with a fantastic attitude. I wish there was more people like you on this planet. Great job.🎉 Wow you found a little seahorse. I'd be excited for that.
21:47 your the man dude! I came across your channel last night. I've been watching every one of your videos that pop up since. The amount of happiness and joy that you bring back out of people is amazing. The mood switch is probably my favorite part of these videos. It's just nice. Really appreciate you taking time to record and post these interactions that you have. It's pretty cool to see how life looks through some one else's point of view. Good stuff man.
So much love , emotion, and history are wrapped up in our wedding and engagement rings. Thank you for being available to them and others and putting their hearts at peace. You are the best example of how our lives should be every day. ❤
So amazing that you give your time for free. A lot of people would charge for this service as most people would pay a large sum to get back an engagement ring. Well done for making that lady day and her family too.
That is awesome! I hope she knows that she has a really good husband, and parents, they didn't yell at her for being careless but stayed to rejoice with her. Blessings to all!
Your videos are absolutely pure entertainment. Your music, your laughter, how you say “frickin’ pull tab” and also how you explain things. The fact you give tings back to the owners is off the charts. ❤️
You are amazing the I swear you are the only detector I've watched who covers your holes and picks up trash but beyond that what you do for the people you have helped is just amazing
A famous treasure diver that I know said something that stuck with me. He said “Every day, metal detectorists lose more and more land to hunt” It’s primarily due to the few bad apples in the hobby. I try to promote good ethics so that maybe the politicians and land owners will think twice about banning metal detecting

I was there (Siesta Key) last week. I hit Cresent and it was sanded in, like you said. Hit Turtle too, didn't find any precious metals this trip. Nice job! It's always good to find and return things for people!
It’s been pretty slow this year due to all the sand covering everything up. I think it’s now finally turning, and we should be able to do a little better
What a beautiful job you have. Making people so happy finding their emotional jewellery back. I lost my mothers wedding ring also at the beach/sea a long time ago. I live at the beach in Portugal now so maybe I am gonna try the same like you do and help people with their belongings.
🤣Exactly what I was thinking. Different perspectives I guess. I’d be buckled over silently weeping. Maybe she was stoic for the children. And if that was Sean returning my ring, I would have been in my beloved’s arms with tears of joy. Blessings to you, Sean!
Hey thank you for taking that long piece of metal out of the water, the pop tabs etc. That could have gone through someone’s foot easily especially for a kid playing in the shallows. When I vacation on Anna Maria Island the amount of people who just leave kids plastic shovels and other plastic on the sand. I walk and clean up the trash left behind. Everyone has to know how polluted our waters are and how dangerous it is to wildlife. The Gulf is so beautiful and we all need to do our part keeping it that way.
