    • @rile06
      @rile06 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@QuirkQuest123 No lag so far. Very smooth. Hmm, overheating is a big word. It can get hot sometimes. But I don't use it heavily for long periods, so that's why I never felt any overheating. Battery drains a bit fast. But that's because of the Exynos.
      All in all, I love it. I make use of a lot of features unique to Android and Samsung, so I can't complain. I know the S20 is not loved by many, probably because of the design, but I don't regret buying it at all! My next phone will probably be a Samsung again, but I'll make sure to take the Snapdragon this time.

    • @rile06
      @rile06 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @kubisss 14 Personally I can't complain. It's always been very clear. But I'm not that heavy user of the camera, and when I'm taking pics, it's mostly to share an information rather than to capture a beautiful moment. So, I'd advise you to try and test the phone yourself in a showroom. This way you'll have a better idea before you spend your money on the phone. :)

    What a review, man! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Congratulations on making an excellent video. I couldn't tell when the 19 odd minutes ended when I wrapped up watching this.
    I am using the s20 ultra and you've hit the nail on each and every aspect of the plus models you've talked about. I am similarly miffed with the battery life, quality of haptics, and straight up hate the image processing on this phone. The photos are oversharpened and skin tones are very oddly represented. The overexposure in live focus mode hasn't been dealt with at all either. This remains the third tier camera of last year. I hated my s10 camera and can't say I feel any different with this one.
    I'd love to watch your camera comparison video and see your opinion on the image processing.

    • @franklingoodwin
      @franklingoodwin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really don't understand why haptics really matter that much. They usually irritate me and I turn them off or at least reduce the sensitivity

    • @nipunsharma5351
      @nipunsharma5351 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@franklingoodwin I used to have the same feeling about haptics from all my way through the galaxy s3 to oneplus 7. The iPhone 7 changed my opinion. The taptic engine on it showed how varying degrees of extremely precise vibration feedbacks can lift your experience of using a phone. Even to this day no other phone matches the iPhone haptics and that's why they all make you want to switch them off. I don't have the same feeling on my iPhone.

  • @Logchaw

    I'm not sure exactly why, but I disagree with almost everyone who mentions the fingerprint scanner in their video. For me, it's blazing fast, opening in about half an second and I rarely ever get a "No Match" when I place my finger on the screen

    • @ZizoGFX
      @ZizoGFX 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! I don't know what they are talking about, it is one of the fastest and most reliable fps I've used, miles better than the s10 or even note 10 i had before. Maybe it's the same sensor but it is definitely improved software wise atleast. What i noticed that in the videos the reviewers try to unlock the phone using a side of their thumb and of course it won't work. I hhad the oneplus 7 pro before, and people claims it had one of the fastest and most reliable, to tell you the truth the s20 ultra fps is just better.

      @ZizoGFX 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What I would do to have 6 hours SOT on my Samsung Galaxy S8 (Exynos) I used to get 5-6 hours SOT on Oreo but once I updated the software to Android Pie I'm lucky if I get 4hrs 30 SOT. I usually get 3hrs 30 to 4 hrs SOT because the standby is so bad now

      @@franklingoodwin you can try to uninstall/disable unused apps/bloatware 1st, then install Greenify from playstore (im using donate ver) to hibernate apps that I don't need to run when phone goes to sleep, except for apps that I need notification like whatapp, email, telegram etc, also on my S20 (oneUI 2.1) I have option to put app to sleep immediately when not in use so I put most of apps that I don't need to running on background when phone goes to sleep

      @@pudinichigo91 I've tried using Greenify. Unfortunately it only works on a few of my apps (so isn't worth it) I have another app that disables some Samsung bloatware but most of the Samsung bloatware uses barely any battery and others are system apps which shouldn't be disabled at all. You can't tell how much battery system apps use because they're all lumped in together under system in battery stats. It's actually Android Pie itself (either that or the Pie beta software was the problem)

    A great review! I currently own a s20+ and I agree with everything that was said except a few things. Battery life for me is pretty great compared to my essential phone lol. I currently get a whole day with texting, phone calls ,TH-cam, email, cod mobile and a couple others. I will say that this being the first phone I've had with wireless charging is a game changer for me, being able to just throw it on the pad and forget about it is great. Being that my essential phone type c port would no longer hold a cable I don't ever have to worrie abut that issue again 😁. I am a person that holds one and uses a phone to the end of its life cycle or longer and knowing that I really never need a type c cord plugged into the bottom of the phone is great! All in all I'm extremely happy with the phone and plan to use it until 2025.

    Great video, been an Android fan for years, and used Samsung devices for most of that. Had an LG phone for a bit. The software updates or lack thereof drove me back to Samsung. Then Pixel XL came out and I got one. I still have it, and it’s a good phone, it’s Google’s iPhone. That being said, because of my family all having iPhones, I switched to that. Had the 8 Plus, which I enjoyed. I traded in and got a discount on this 11. Which, is a great phone, but; there are things that I hate. Yes the OS works great, and video is amazing. iMessage is second to none. But, let me give my take on iPhone. So, if I was to place a bet, I would wager that the majority of users that stick with iPhone is because of iMessage and probably that they started with an iPhone. Yes the Apple ecosystem is great, if you’re all apple on everything you own. So, that’s great if you choose to go that route. I am not, I have an Apple Watch and iPhone, that’s it. So, let me move to why I’m probably going back to Samsung. First and foremost, customization or the lack of on iPhone and Watch. Sure you can buy cases and bands, and change your wallpaper, but that’s about it. The fact that you can’t arrange your icons where you want them, I mean really?!?!?! Come on Apple, do you think your customers are too stupid to know how to arrange icons??? And the lack of live wallpapers on your home screens???? No one cares about holding down on the lock screen to animate a wallpaper. And no app tray???? Why?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!! Also, what Apple calls widgets, is an insult to widgets!!!! Those aren’t widgets, they’re flipping shortcuts, a widget is a actual program that resides on your screen that provides information and does things, not takes you to an app🙄🙄😑 And speaking of apps, the lack of apps that are actually useful in the App Store is a complete letdown. And the ones that are useful, are almost always subscriptions. I don’t mind paying for one, but come on, let’s make it a one time purchase. Google is king when it comes to apps, plus I find that the Google versions of apps that are on iPhone are so much better, it’s not even funny. Also the Apple watch, is complete garbage compared to the galaxy gear and being able to customize it. Sure it works, but again, you’re stuck with the way Apple thinks you should have a watch. And once again, I find that a slap in the face. So, this is why, I’m going back to Samsung. So before you comment and try to tell me, I haven’t had the iPhone long enough, trust me, I have for 4 years and well, it’s just been ok. It’s way overhyped, and it just haven’t delivered that experience that has left me thinking I must have this. Instead it’s just, yeah it’s ok, but it lacks too many things that allow you to make it personal.

    Great review. However, for the battery life I partially agree but what I noticed is that after the first 7-10 days the battery life of the phone drastically improved (something like 10-15 percent) as it learned my usage pattern, pushing SOT from 5 hours to 6 or even more. I don't think it is fair to judge a phone's battery life before it learns your pattern or the manufacturer's first few updates in the first month or so. However, after that it is fair game

    • @OfficialDiffy
      @OfficialDiffy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on what type of phone you like. If you prefer hardware, then Samsung is the better option. If you prefer software, then iPhone is the better option. However, since Samsung is more expensive, I would say that iPhone is better. iPhones last longer than android so you spend less and you can keep it longer. It also depends if you think Samsung features a gimmick.

    • @kovuBee
      @kovuBee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't say it's about hardware and software. They both are excellent in those areas, there's not much difference.
      The real dependency is about whether you like Android or IOS operating system. And if you're not sure, you can ask yourself if you prefer being able to control the phone, or the phone controlling you. For IOS devices, what you see in the pictures is what you get. For Android, it's customizable to almost any degree and you get a lot more features and options. Some people find that overwhelming and prefer the simplicity of the iPhone and others like to play around with their phones so prefer Android.

    • @kovuBee
      @kovuBee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of updates, it's about whether you prefer bigger updates or longer lasting ones. 2 Samsung updates are equivalent to about 4 iPhone ones in terms of features and changes. Within 2-3yrs of using the phone a lot will have improved and/or tweaked while with iPhone it will only be a slight difference what it started as. BUT you will get the iPhone updates for 2 other years to catch up with the Samsung, while the Samsung stops there (this is just based on the past, Samsung can always change this). If you're someone who upgrades every 3yrs, then this wouldn't matter and same with if you're someone who is on the trade-in plan for the devices.
      With price, the 11 Pro Max is NOT cheaper than the S20+ in full capacity. It's 512GB option is $100 more expensive actually. But the 256GB variant for the Pro Max is only $50 more expensive than the 128GB variant of the S20+. For their base models, you can get double the storage (128GB) on the S20+ for $100 more. Is it worth it? 🤷🏾‍♂️ Samsung prices do tend to go down faster and have more deals tho, but if you don't wanna wait... And this is solely dependant on where you live too. Some countries will be offering the S20+ in 4G so it would be cheaper. If you're in the US, that is not the case tho.

    • @kovuBee
      @kovuBee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In terms of UI, iPhone is better optimized with their apps so this means games will load a bit faster and media rendering will take a bit less time. It's not a significant difference tho, but if you do a lot of either, it might matter. The catch with it is that I've definitely noticed iphone UI to have more bugs than One UI. iPhones are buggy devices in general, but it won't matter if you prefer IOS over Android overall.

  • @sensonpan7994
    @sensonpan7994 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Samsung S-series uses Z-Axis linear motor, which takes less space but is inferior in terms of haptic feedback when compare to the taptic engine on the iPhone, which are X-Axis Linear motors.
    Exynos 990 Variant found on Australian market is inferior to the Snapdragon 865 version in probably every single matrix too. I just have to say, for AUD$1349, I would rather pick up an iPhone 11.
