I have S20 Ultra and boy that last May update bring the camera to another level. HDR is much better now in 12MP mode with better controlled noise in dark area, indoor low light improved a lot that it is now able to capture skin freckles and shirt detail in ISO 1000+. This is like using different phone that I bought in the beginning, that I think DXOMark should update their score 😂
This has been my favorite phone ever. It felt like a significant upgrade over them all. I've had every galaxy S line. The 12 gigs of ram is incredibly useful. The screen and CPU feel light years ahead of last year. The best phone ever
What exactly do you need 12GB of RAM for today? You don't get a ton of improvement after the 6GB threshold and improvements are really thin past 8GB of RAM, that's why I'm asking.

@@mike216ism Because RAM needs power, which eats into battery life. By the time you'll need 12GB of RAM, Samsung won't provide the OS updates and you'd have to get another phone. Another $1200 phone. Regardless of how much money you make, I think we could both agree it doesn't hurt to have more money in your pocket.

Samsung galaxy S20+ is one hell of a phone. It is lovable in many ways. I'm note user and currently using the Note 10 plus which is a beast. Can't wait to see the Note 20+ later this year ^_^

I have an S20 Plus phone and have had it for about 2 months and it has been good for this length of time so far and I just needed to use it for making calls and occasionally using it for internet usage. My sister used the camera to take a photo of me, but I have not used that feature as I already have two good photo and video cameras for that. I am still learning some of the phone's features and may do more with it once I learn more about it.
I got the ultra 2 days ago its definitely a beast especially the display the battery so far has gotten me through a full day and then some and that's with the 120hz display

The reason I'm asking this is because I'm switching over from a Pixel 1 (Really rounded corners) to perhaps an S20+? So I would like some input regarding the corner difference. Would I be fine with it, or should I go with another phone with more rounded corners?

You'll be fine if you find it uncomfortable use a case I sometimes use my case for protection but I love it out the case lol I have small hands but no it's not uncomfortable I'm sure it's different for everybody,I switched from the Galaxy A20 I love both but the S20 Plus is better idk if this helps sorry if it didn't but you'll love it!! 💯😊

2:30 that looks SO MUCH better. No stupid black hole on the screen. No screen going "beyond" the camera. I wish that black bare was ALWAYS there, or the screen could just start a little further down the body like it does on the S9 Plus. I'm looking for a new phone but don't want my screen taking up the whole body if that means a front camera getting in the way via notch or hole punch. I'd rather a screen that takes up slightly less of the phone. The S9 Plus had a perfect design.
I believe if the snapdragon 865 chips didnt have 5g modems added that most phones this year would be reasonably priced. Atleast probably oneplus would be at least $100-$150 less in price. Then it would be more of a deal with the same features it has now
That's a good deal, but in the UK it's £999 for the 128gb version and it's the exynos chip set, I could buy the one plus 8 pro for £900 with the snapdragon and the 256gb of storage and to me that is just way better a deal, especially when the 8 pro is more comprable to the s20 ultra (obviously it falls short of the ultra in a few ways, which it bloody should for £300 less)
Honestly if i wasnt able to get the S20 plus for around that price my next option would've been the Oneplus 8 pro. My previous phone was Oneplus 7 pro and it was a great phone. I just missed having wireless charging and bixby routines.

I wanted the case & all accessories before I started using it, so installing the SIM card as we speak. I've been a Samsung phone user forever, & had a Note 5 & Note 8. Agree, that's what I thought before clicking this video. most people on the market could only get Exynos. with this price tag, the Exynos can't justify the same overall performance to the Snapdragon. at least for me, I DO NOT want a 1000$ phone that can only do low frame rate in games and heating my hands or my leg, plus it drains battery like crazy. I expect at least 8hours for Normal use in a single charge, but it gives me 6.... very 6
The Exynos version has improved with the May update, maintains 60fps while gaming. Battery life seems better to at 120hz, overall feels a little faster.
Within the past week, I have just upgraded from the LG V30 to this phone and don't find it that much larger. The user environment is slightly different but I am quickly adapting. I haven't found anything to dislike about it yet and I am using more things with this phone than I did on the LG.

I just got an s20+ today! Switched from att to t-mobile. Not just for cheaper service but it was buy 1 get 1 free!!! And the iPhones were 400 dollars off! If anyone is wondering its a promotion t-mobile is currently doing and I don't know when it'll end. But its only if you switch from your current provider to them. Tmobile actually has pretty fast speeds. I'm surprised. Was with att for over a decade and although I love them I can't justify their prices anymore. At t-mobile 2 lines is only 80 bucks unlimited everything.

For me the fingerprint sensor on this phone is perfect and I've never had any problems with it. When I turned off *fingerprint animation when unlocking* through settings it unlocks extremely fast. All in all this phone is amazing!
I got the Aura Blue version from Best Buy with an instant $300 discount and another $150 in Verizon service credits on a 0% payment plan. I know there may be and will be better deals, but given that this is the phone I wanted, a service plan I was going to pick up anyway, and that I'm coming away with this beauty for $750 and change when all is said and done - I'm a very happy camper with a phone that has actually exceeded my expectations.

$1,200 for a phone. The desktop computer I recently built was that much. I'm still using my Samsung Galaxy S10+ phone and I don't think I'm upgrading from it and time soon.
The biggest flaw of this phone in my opinion is that you are paying for a 120Hz 1440p display but you can only use 120Hz in FHD or 1440p in 60Hz. Meaning the phone isn't optimized for its own hardware. I would much rather have a Full HD only display and buy the phone cheaper if compromises have to be made. But I think it's sloppy to leave the compromise up to the consumer. I guess it's good that there's the choice, but if I had the choice to buy a phone now or wait a year to buy a phone with a 120Hz 1440p display I would definitely wait. And the battery life should be optimized accordingly.
Fingerprint reader was such a drag on one of the fastest phones out right now, like the thing you have to do to get into the phone to experience that "quickness" is dreadfully slow. I wish they went the pixel route to unlock their phones.
I've had the Exynos S20+ for over a month and haven't had any issues. I was watching videos on the Snapdragon vs Exynos for about 6 weeks prior so was reconsidering, but the phone doesn't get hot when playing games and no performance issues. It seems those differences only show in synthetic tests, not real world.

Got mine today, it's great but the fingerprint sensor is a huge step back from the S9 that I bought my S20 to replace. Pretty frustrating tbh as that's something I use constantly. Aside from that it seems great.
Seems like the s20+ is a great choice. Just got the note 10+ a week ago since I could get a new one for just $499 and traded in my note 8 for $200. So I only payed $300 for a new note 10+ which is still a beast tbh
Love it as well. But really hoping they release that software upgrade they mentioned at CES for the 120hz quad HD! As you mentioned, battery life is not an issue and I could live with less battery life as long as I have the option to switch over.
I was one who did a pre order of the d20+ It's been good. Some reason my app switcher drops the running apps at times. Just want to remind everyone that a 5g phone doesn't mean you have millimeter wave on it. S20 doesn't have it. S20+ and ultra have it. Verizon phones have millimeter wave because they don't have low or mid band 5g. I got up to 300mb down and 40 up near the millimeter wave tower.
I'm so hard pressed trading in this beast for the Z fold 3 or just buying it outright. This phone I believe will last you 4+ yrs especially with all the 5G bands you'll need.
Every youtube reviewer talks about "90/120 htz refresh rate", but who uses their phone like that, mindlessly scrolling through menus on their phone for the sake of "scrolling really fast" without actually looking for anything or accomplishing anything? I see it in every video and can't help but wonder, how does that translate to usefulness?

I know there may be and will be better deals, but given that this is the phone I wanted, a service plan I was going to pick up anyway, and that I'm coming away with this beauty for $750 and change when all is said and done - I'm a very happy camper with a phone that has actually exceeded my expectations.

The biggest flaw of this phone in my opinion is that you are paying for a 120Hz 1440p display but you can only use 120Hz in FHD or 1440p in 60Hz. Meaning the phone isn't optimized for its own hardware. I would much rather have a Full HD only display and buy the phone cheaper if compromises have to be made. But I think it's sloppy to leave the compromise up to the consumer. I guess it's good that there's the choice, but if I had the choice to buy a phone now or wait a year to buy a phone with a 120Hz 1440p display I would definitely wait. And the battery life should be optimized accordingly.

Fingerprint reader was such a drag on one of the fastest phones out right now, like the thing you have to do to get into the phone to experience that "quickness" is dreadfully slow. I wish they went the pixel route to unlock their phones.

I've had the Exynos S20+ for over a month and haven't had any issues. I was watching videos on the Snapdragon vs Exynos for about 6 weeks prior so was reconsidering, but the phone doesn't get hot when playing games and no performance issues. It seems those differences only show in synthetic tests, not real world.

Got mine today, it's great but the fingerprint sensor is a huge step back from the S9 that I bought my S20 to replace. Pretty frustrating tbh as that's something I use constantly. Aside from that it seems great.

Seems like the s20+ is a great choice. Just got the note 10+ a week ago since I could get a new one for just $499 and traded in my note 8 for $200. So I only payed $300 for a new note 10+ which is still a beast tbh

Love it as well. But really hoping they release that software upgrade they mentioned at CES for the 120hz quad HD! As you mentioned, battery life is not an issue and I could live with less battery life as long as I have the option to switch over.

Just want to remind everyone that a 5g phone doesn't mean you have millimeter wave on it. S20 doesn't have it. S20+ and ultra have it.
Verizon phones have millimeter wave because they don't have low or mid band 5g.
I got up to 300mb down and 40 up near the millimeter wave tower.

I'm so hard pressed trading in this beast for the Z fold 3 or just buying it outright. This phone I believe will last you 4+ yrs especially with all the 5G bands you'll need.
Every youtube reviewer talks about "90/120 htz refresh rate", but who uses their phone like that, mindlessly scrolling through menus on their phone for the sake of "scrolling really fast" without actually looking for anything or accomplishing anything? I see it in every video and can't help but wonder, how does that translate to usefulness?
