Hybrids are the future, really. Best of both worlds.

The price is certainly very decent up against many of the pure EV SUVs and for flexibility and practically it should make you stop and think. Its also MBs most handsome non-saloon model, in my opinion. Great car.

Great review as ever Sinead, I wish more PHEV's were diesel with electric, apart from the extra cost involved, I don't understand why more manufacturers don't do it that way as opposed to petrol and electric though if you were to run it in the way they want you to ie primarily in electric mode you'd be better with an electric car I think. Having said that despite being a posh Qashqai as you said being a premium SUV I think it's too expensive, I'll stick with my pure diesel derivative of the Qashqai which in my case is the 1.6 DCI Qashqai due to the motorway miles that I do.

They solve SO many problems with both Diesels and PHEV's. What are the biggest issues with those?
-Diesels release more local pollutants (run on battery in the city)
-PHEV's tend to have smaller tanks (Diesels have more mpg)
-Hybrids are extremely flammable (Diesel is less flammable than gas)

Can’t understand them not using the updated duel screen infotainment, it’s been in the A class for years!

As always Sinead a pleasant review and video, to me it doesn't make sense, why diesel and why not wait for the new car unless you get a great deal on one.

It's quicker to fill up and has better range than a full EV even without refueling.

Is it not bad to keep diesel sitting in a tank
And minimum mileage on a Diesel engine

Not these days with precision pumps and filters. Keep the fuel level low (20 litres and no point carrying the extra weight anyway) and pop in a bottle of fuel system cleaner every few months and it'll be perfectly happy.

No mention of an essential spare wheel.
Stupidly overpriced Merc's have gained a reputation for being troublesome, in the long term.
Hybrid adds even more complexity, without any real gain in economy.
I'll stick with my genuinely economical & super reliable Qashqai.

Can you drive at any speed on battery power?

    • @RRW359
      @RRW359 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I think I read somewhere it can only go to about 50mph on battery so no highway travel.
