Love the review Brandon. I think reviewing big name pomades even if they aren't the best are an awesome way to get new subscribers to your channel. This way they discover awesome homebrews that they wouldn't have otherwise because they don't have the marketing power that brands like Suavecito has. Btw, the upload schedule is really unbelievably consistent. Really appreciate it brother!
It's doing a solid job. In terms of " blocking" up I find that most products will lose their purpose or strength or something if it's just left on without styling in a reasonable amount of time. It does help to create a sharp style but will definitely dry out hair with everyday use. So I recommend a good quality conditioner. BTW, the Reuzel Red is a great recommendation.
This firme pomade -works well on my wavy semi curly hair . When I try using other pomades , my side part hairstyle does not hold up because of my wavy hair . Nice video - Cheers
He's like "you have a little bit of time to style before it hardens." Dude you put the whole godamn jar on your head, of course it's going to cement lol
I'm looking for a good pomade and have yet to find one. I like the greaser/50s comb over look, you know? But with my hair it's kind of hard to get the right shine and volume I'm going for. Do you have any recommendations?
I use the original hold, not the firme hold and boy oh boy is the original hold much better! Doesn't make your hair look blocky and like there's plastic on it.
The Workman's Pomp oh my Lord lol you should review suavecito golden spring edition of you're able to get you hands on it. I use it and it has a good smell and good hold
I honestly prefer using Brylcreem than the bullshit pomades, grooming creams, pasts, etc. that are out there in the world. Because Brylcreem ( a hair cream for hair ) does not harden up when people apply it to their hair, it gives off a good shine, it gives off a good hold, it conditions hair, and the hair still becomes smooth. Brylcreem is an awesome brand. :)
+Kevin C. Yeah, I understand why you feel that way. Unfortunately I need stronger stuff to keep my hair in place at work but Brcreem is a classic for a reason and I think it often gets overlooked and under appreciated.
New to the hair styling , great video and yeah I agree it dries out my hair pretty bad too. I picked this up as I have wavy thick hair but the helmet head was just too much and by the end of the day my hair is super dry. I recomb with some water to help sometimes. I was thinking about an oil based but haven’t bit the bullet yet on a product. Cheers
It didn't dry my hair but I also balance it by super conditioning and hair balm/cream aka beard balm/oil for your head. Once my hair gets longer though it looks horrid like a traditional gel. Great when my hair is super short though.
I thought it was super cool at first glance like you. I like it, I'm still new to pomades. My hair is as greasy as a Waffle House floor so the drying I never noticed or minded 😂😂. I use the original. Before I was on American Crew, and it SUCKED SO BAD. I'm gonna keep looking for others. It's a good pomade for basics and will work if the others are out but it won't be my go to.
+xHibachi24x No prob. I plan on putting up a fiber Grease and cool Grease blue review soon as well! I think Cameron has some cool Grease reviews so peep them! If you want a water based that acts like an oil than Cool Grease is the way to go
Personally, my favorite pomades are Mitch Clean Cut, American Crew, American Crew Heavy Hold, and 18.21 Manmade(expensive but freaking amazing). I don’t like oil based pomades really
It's a great product, the only problem is the cost. It $24 for a 2-ounce jar, $48 if you get it with the body wash/shampoo/conditioner. (for reference I got two 3-ounce pucks of American Crew Heavy hold for 17.99) I got it for Christmas but I feel guilty when I use it because of the cost, but I also feel guilty when I don't use because it's so expensive. It has a sweet tobacco sent to it and scoops out very easily. 1821manmade.com/products/18-21-man-made-pomade?variant=48590891157 1821manmade.com/products/gift-bundle-man-made-wash-pomade?variant=51597857749
Is the suavecito firme hold good for thick and wavy hair because that's what my hair is. I use the suavecito original hold for my thick and wavy hair right now but I want it to give a different hold so will the firme hold help my thick and wavy hair.
I prefer the Suavecito OG over the firme actually (just did a review and will post soon). Preferably, I like Suavecito over Reuzel blue. I felt like it was more flexible and had better endurance and restyle ability when reactivated with water.
which one is stronger, the strong hold or the firme ? i have very thick and wavy hair so i'll need all the strength it have to hold my hair in place. Wanna slick my hair back, can anyone let me know.
Any orthodox waterbased, like Suavicito or Rocky Mountain, will give you that. An unorthodox I would recommend with those characteristics would be Super Water Based by Nostalgic Grooming
The Workman's Pomp Good to know, I coincidentally just ordered Blackship yesterday. Its neen 2 years since I last used it so it'll be good to see if they've improved the fprmula since.
+Nelson Montijo No problem! Suavicito is a good gel based but Fifth Sample has better shine and natural shape when styling! Between the two, I like the fifth sample!🍻
I wouldn't say it's bad for your hair, but it leaves my hair dry and brittle feeling like straw. If you want a gel based that stays pliable get Cool Grease Fiber Grease or Iron Heritages Flattop Waterbased. You can restyle very easy and they don't dry your hair out that bad.
I can tell you why it goes blocky, it's called using way to fucking much, all the dudes that I've seen reviewing it practicly use the whole tub... I mean holy shit.
The last minute of your review -- in which you suddenly tear this product down and refer to some unnamed product -- is incredibly muddled, and seems to counteract your entire positive review. Thumbs way the F down.

Thanks man, I appreciate the support! Ive been going pretty steady with the uploads, but I may slow down! I just love doing the reviews!

5:35 - 5:41. Mind blown!!!
This firme pomade -works well on my wavy semi curly hair . When I try using other pomades , my side part hairstyle does not hold up because of my wavy hair . Nice video -

Brandon, you’re awesome. Your posts are always so entertaining and informative.
Thanks for the kind words!
Great review. Balanced, open-minded, and very critiquing. Glad I found this channel.
+Jeris Jeris Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
Jesus christ that's alot.
He's like "you have a little bit of time to style before it hardens." Dude you put the whole godamn jar on your head, of course it's going to cement lol
One or fifty scoops...still has the same effect haha
I'm looking for a good pomade and have yet to find one. I like the greaser/50s comb over look, you know? But with my hair it's kind of hard to get the right shine and volume I'm going for. Do you have any recommendations?
What’s you’re hair type?
Pretty thick but I've have this annoying curve in the front that screws with the volume, but I figured out that a blow dryer helps that a lot.
I use the original hold, not the firme hold and boy oh boy is the original hold much better! Doesn't make your hair look blocky and like there's plastic on it.
I also like the light hold as well
@@TheWorkmansPomp Might have to check it out!
Cement is exactly what I need. Thx for the review and tipps!
Yeah it’s like concrete
I thought I used a lot lol
+Miguel Diaz You ain't seen nothing yet!
The Workman's Pomp oh my Lord lol you should review suavecito golden spring edition of you're able to get you hands on it. I use it and it has a good smell and good hold
+Miguel Diaz I should. Have you tried the Johnny Cupcake one yet? I'm gonna do the Matte Paste coming up!
The Workman's Pomp I haven't! I do live like 20 minutes away from suavecito hq so I might take trip to see all the seasonal pomades they have
+Miguel Diaz Let me know if you do. I'm intrigued by it but don't know if I want to smell like a cupcake or not 🤔
Just curious, what water-based pomade would you suggest just to put in on the weekends to help degrease but still have some style?

You seem like a nice guy. Good video and can you please do the matte suavecito review

I really like the medium or original but the firme is super dry
I'm actually looking into that Reuzel Red now that you mentioned and others.
Hey Brandon! I was curious what your favorite gel pomade is. I'm looking to pick up one that has the best bang for my buck.
+Brandon Rodriguez Sweet. Thanks a million brother.
+xHibachi24x No prob. I plan on putting up a fiber Grease and cool Grease blue review soon as well! I think Cameron has some cool Grease reviews so peep them! If you want a water based that acts like an oil than Cool Grease is the way to go

I really want to try that Manmade

I actually really like it, but I wish it made it more shiny
When are you going to review some other suavecito products?? They have a oil based pomade and a new firme hold clay coming out Friday
I didn’t care for the original matte paste to review but I have shot the reviews for the oil and the medium gel type. They just need to be posted
which one gives more shine....firme hold or original hold???
What do I tell the barber to get hair like yours? Especially the top
Is the suavecito firme hold good for thick and wavy hair because that's what my hair is. I use the suavecito original hold for my thick and wavy hair right now but I want it to give a different hold so will the firme hold help my thick and wavy hair.
Good review. May not be the best alright but damned if I’m not addicted to the scent...
The scent is great on this product, no denying that.
hit it with a blow dryer real quick to break it down a little then continue to style
My hair is naturally really oily.
I prefer suavecito over layrite because its paraben free.
I like the medium Suavecito, Firme is a bit much for me on the dry side
Would you use suavecito instead of reuzel blue, or which one is better in terms of hold, durability and how it treats the hair?
I prefer the Suavecito OG over the firme actually (just did a review and will post soon). Preferably, I like Suavecito over Reuzel blue. I felt like it was more flexible and had better endurance and restyle ability when reactivated with water.
Brandon Rodriguez I'll be waiting the review :D
Hey Brandon, does the Suavecito Firme have better hold than Reuzel Red?
+6DarkKnight9 It does in my opinion. I feel like it has slightly better hold then Reuzel Blue as well.
which one is stronger, the strong hold or the firme ? i have very thick and wavy hair so i'll need all the strength it have to hold my hair in place. Wanna slick my hair back, can anyone let me know.
what's the name of haircut?
Do you know anything about Kent combs? I just purchased one today and wanted another opinion on them.
+EM4N141 I do like Kent and favor the 9 row version. Although, I like the wider toothed ones as well
What’s the name of the pomade you mentioned to get at amazon that will be better on the hair?
Ruezel red
What's a good water based pomade with high hold & high shine in a budget?
Any orthodox waterbased, like Suavicito or Rocky Mountain, will give you that. An unorthodox I would recommend with those characteristics would be Super Water Based by Nostalgic Grooming
How much more hold does this provide compared to the regular pomade?
+Ramblin Man It's lasting that's for sure. It will give you helmet head, but it will last all day!
Hi! May I ask, should I put the pomade on my hair with my hair wet or dry?
Either or works fine. I prefer damp now and days.
what's that tool you use to pomp your hair? the blue one?? what's that called
+ryPods It's an Afro pick! Check out "styling tools" vid! I have a list of all the stuff I use. It's surprisingly cheap!
Anyone know what is the name of the blue colour comb he used ?
Love this guy!
Will this bring out my natural wave on straight hair? Or is it too slick?
Probably not
a bottle per day isnt enough
dang bruh, you hecka rough with your hair. How many hair strains do you pull out on average while doing this style??
It just depends. I have really strong hair so I hardly pull any hair out. It’s depend on the product and if I combed it when I woke up.
Cut it with a small amount of Crystal Lake: dryness problem solved and mega hold is still there.
what's the 2 best heavy oilbased pomades for thick hair in your opinion?
+Roy Guillermo Briseno Hmmmmm, probably Lockharts Heavy and Nostalgic Handmade Firm
Thank you Workman Pomp! keep up the good reviews..
What are your Super Hold Heavy waterbased pomades at this time?
+Roy Guillermo Briseno The heaviest I can think of offhand is Blackship or Redhouse
The Workman's Pomp
Good to know, I coincidentally just ordered Blackship yesterday. Its neen 2 years since I last used it so it'll be good to see if they've improved the fprmula since.
American Crew Heavy hold is a great starting place.
Add a little water to style
Great hair man
I wanna get fifth sample by bluu man but I'm scarred it won't hold or have the shine I want should I just get suavicito for safe keeping?
+Nelson Montijo No, get Fifth Sample. It washes out as easy as Suavicito and has awesome shine and hold.
The Workman's Pomp thanks brotha appreciate the quick response. I'll make sure to hit the subscribe button for that.
+Nelson Montijo No problem! Suavicito is a good gel based but Fifth Sample has better shine and natural shape when styling! Between the two, I like the fifth sample!🍻
Suavecito or lockharts goon grease???
Daniel Mendoza goon grease
there completely different one water based ones oil based
so just add some coconut oil in the application
What will that do
dust particles get stuck in hair wat to do
+Ash Shrestha When using a gel-based, you can always wet your hair down and re-comb and re-style. That will help!
ok ty i will try
let me know 5/5 pomade?
its great when you blow dry your hair.
Wait is it bad for your hair
I wouldn't say it's bad for your hair, but it leaves my hair dry and brittle feeling like straw. If you want a gel based that stays pliable get Cool Grease Fiber Grease or Iron Heritages Flattop Waterbased. You can restyle very easy and they don't dry your hair out that bad.
so its like a honda civic pomade
Nah, civics have more to offer
hahaha is it that worst, but you still like it anyway :D
hye my hair are short what hairstyle are good for me
+Syed Syafiq Side part Contour, possible slick back, messy textured look, and possibly textured styled look.
I always do a side part
man ... you got so much fucking hair... i guess you could style that hair even with paper glue.
murays was the savoir for my hair
just got this today. works pretty great when your hair is wet. not damp. (wet) its quick to style with (:
You put the whole damn tub if you want
Put it in the trash is more like it
LOVE!
Wow ammzing hair
Look like maestro on r6
I can see that!
What do you play on?
just add a dab of royal crown before it dries out.
you're welcome.
+More Bacon I'm aware of this technique but believe it or not people, at least most I've talked to, don't like mixing oil based and waterbased.
The hairdressing?
I can tell you why it goes blocky, it's called using way to fucking much, all the dudes that I've seen reviewing it practicly use the whole tub... I mean holy shit.
+Daniel Roy Bro, even using small scoops this stuff blocks out
You should review Pacino's Pomade. That's my favorite!
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll check them out!🍻
Same man it's my go to pomade. love it!
Pacino’s fucking sucks. Smells like shit, feels like shit, and dries all flaky
cool hair!
the good suavecito
Tu pomada suavecito no es original es una imitación 🤷🏻♂️
Firme means cool
Nicholas Sanchez firme means firm
Mike Lion you're not a chicano so you don't know
Mike Lion Google it lol
Firme literally means firm in Spanish and yes in Chicano slang means Cool
Juan Chavez fuck Spanish in general nothing but a genocidal language
Great review! What a hottie.
would you be interested in reviewing our products?
+Iron Heritage Co. Sure! You contact me on Facebook via Brandon Rodriguez or email me at beed136@gmail.com!
The last minute of your review -- in which you suddenly tear this product down and refer to some unnamed product -- is incredibly muddled, and seems to counteract your entire positive review. Thumbs way the F down.
AMKK LAR
pomade is not for your beard
You got the fake one
