Fantastic, never heared of Shiono but alradey love his style. He plays like a new Matsushita, such an consistant forhand chop that he don't even need his forehand counterattack..

Man, Koki stands tall and stiff like a statue. I'm not surprised that he has trouble looping that heavy spin.

Very good. Shiono plays downward spin volley, mixed with occasional attack. Somewhat like female players WU YANG, Kim Yunggah,and 2 Korea male players. He has lots of potential.
It must be very nerve racking, frustrating playing against the world chapion shiono the back spinner. His chops are lethal as it comes.

yep, "old school" defender Shiono taught the younger player a lesson. Shiono pops a lot of balls in the air but returns the hard drives anyway.
If you notice, Shiono flips very frequently; At return service and middle of rallies.
I'm j-pen holder. But I think If Shiono get more experience. No one i Japan can beat him surely.
Masato Shiono is the next Koji Matsushita :D

Koki didn't seem very focused this match.... although Shiono did play well
Choppers strategy is to keep on controlling the ball til opponent made error during numerous rally. must be super calm. Not every offensive opponent enjoy playing with defensive choppers. esp. a heavy topspin attack fail to win points one after another. it caused mental exhaustion.
Keinath completely smoked him 4-0 at the US open a year or two ago.
丹羽孝西雖然是天才型選手,但是一來身高不夠,二來打球太耍帥,這二點沒有克服,未來想在世界桌壇大放異彩的機會恐怕不太大!
