THE BEST MATCH I'VE EVER SEEN

Shiono superb. Against very tough opponent. Yet he did it. Numerous topspin attack, rally after rally still did not stop him to fight back.. His opponent indeed has plenty of accurate shot but he still can counter at mid or further distance away, super match.

I never knew that Gorak was actually strong against choppers. Both played amazingly well in this match!

I wish Japan can produce more of these super athletic and skillful defenders. The legacy of the great Koji Matsushita shouldn't just get lost in oblivion.

I was talking about a slower loop with proper grip to the rubber vs trying to smash kill the ball that ended up in the net most of the time because player has no patient. Just move the chopper in and out and the game is easily won, assuming you are an adequate skill attacker and this guy Gorak has more than enough attaching stills.

Great match, but i think that the angle of the camera is too high, it somehow makes the game two dimensional and innatural: you can't judge the height of the ball... btw great job

le match est juste monstrueux comment shino il ramène des balles juste impossible a avoir et bravo a gorak a mon avis shiono va devenir le nouveau de défendeur de génie joo a trouvé son maitre

It looked like Shiono was in trouble in many of the points that he won. He's a great defender though.

Offensive chopper. The word defensive is just a deceptive way. Shiono has already showed to all offensive topspin attacker. He was a complete attacker gear with lots of active chop, loop, drive, smash, fishing etc. his stamina, endurance and reflexes proved to be a superior so called modern defender player.

    この大会の塩野は絶対中高生のお手本にはならないが、
    趣もあるし、粘る能力はMaxだったと思う。
    これぐらいロビングでも粘れるのは才能。

The attacker could easily won the game if he has more patient and make better shot selection. He try to smash/kill a heavy chop too many time and lost unnecessary points.

Shiono won but he was very unstable in this match. He must practice more
