The temp gauge came back down a little bit at the end. This is a symptom of large air pockets in the cooling system as a result of the coolant leak. It leaks coolant as the liquid expands, then sucks air inside as it contracts when cooling down. After some time you develop large air pockets and fluctuating coolant temperatures. You have to eliminate the leak and then burp the cooling system.
@@kevinr.9896 If you eliminate the leaks, fill up the system, run the engine for a minute, remove the cap again and fill up, repeat the same procedure before the system takes no more fluid. Next 2-3 days open the cap when the engine is cold and add a little bit of coolant if needed.
Kuya, I have a 2020 Sahara in the same color! I've had it since 2019 and have 100k miles on it. I'm about to add more coolant/antifreeze since it's almost winter here in Chicago. Question for you about the transmission. A mechanic said I can do a transmission fluid flush but before buying the jeep, when I was leasing it, the dealership said its a sealed transmissions so there's no way to replace the trans fluid. Is this true? Have you flushed your fluid?
sorry bro unfurtunately my sahara was involve into accident last year and it has only 20k kilometers on it so i had no chance to do a transmission flush on it so no idea if the transmission is sealed
There is no recall. Unfortunately, this issue originated from the factory of jeeps 2021 and older. The water pump outlet bolts were installed but they did not install tread locker on each bolt to prevent them from backing out. By not issuing a recall the company does not take ownership of the issue. It’s essentially a ticking time bomb waiting to cause either no damage if caught early to minor or serious engine problems.
