You would think that if you wanted to avoid mistakes, you'd have the tyres with the yellow markings with the tyre warmers that have yellow markings.
"if the tyres have yellow identifiers, they are Seb's, BUT if the identifiers are yellow and they're in the blanket, they're Lance's. Just make sure that when you pull the yellow blanket off, that the tyre isn't yellow because the yellow blanket doesn't go with the yellow tyre".

I literally said this while watching...like I have students, and have color coordinated their desks per group, but if I said, blue group, who sit in blue chairs, your lockers are green...wouldn't really make much sense especially as there is also a green group.
This is great. I love and appreciate the behind the scenes look into one of my favorite teams! Seb has always been one of my favorite drivers going way back and as a fellow Canadian it's always great to cheer and see Lance and Lawrence. Thanks Aston Martin for this! So Seb's tyres are marked with yellow but the yellow blankets are for Lance's tyres?! I think this is quite an obvious flaw in the process of making the risk of mistakes minimal.

Love this about Ricciardo, he's such a jokester but he knows the limit. I hope next year will be a better season both for the Aston Team and McLaren.
This is my favourite episode out of the whole year's series. Jim and Biscuit really look chill and fun to talk to. Wild seb and daniel cameo was pretty funny hahaha... I’ve always wanted to have an actual F1 car wheel and tyre like you see in the cars to put in my bedroom, I think that would be so cool!
You can get the rims at F1 authentic. I'm not sure about the tyres tho

Don't buy anything from F1 website and automobilist. The usual posters are alright, but they charge a HUGE amount for a signed one which is a joke.
The wheel and rims are also very very expensive so if you don't have deep pockets, you are better off with models and such. I tried so hard to get F1 related items but they are just sooo out of reach of a "normal" person it's crazy
@@maximus2536 It’s crazy considering how many used parts they destroy. I wish pirelli would sell used tires as memorabilia instead of destroying them and using them for fuel.
2:00 Why is the colour for the writing/text different between tyre writing and blanket? Am i being dumb - because that does not make sense to me?
SV = Yellow tyre writing, Blue text on blanket.
LS = White tyre writing, Yellow text on blanket.
Everything is made, so you dont make a mistake. Proceeds to put blue blanket on yellow tire....

i came here for the technical aspect of tyre management, and i found 2 amazing guys with over 50 years of combined experience having fun, telling jokes and enjoying every moment of what they are doing.

More like 1 year experience 50x over. Not that bloody hard to figure out how to warm tires and read pressures.

I enjoyed this video. I've always wondered what happens to tires after being used for what -- 20 laps? It just seems like such a waste to get rid of them. Even though I have no idea what the term "stripped" means, I'm assuming the reference is to used tires and some kind of re-cycling project.

In the 80’s there were unlimited tyres and engines available. And tyre tests with unlimited mileage etc

Why wouldn't you put Seb's yellow marked tyres in the yellow blankets? Sounds like there is potential for a mistake there.

okay, stupid question: why do the covers have different colours to the tire markings? why not keep it yellow for vettel and white for stroll?
Further more, yellow and white are awfully similar, why not yellow and pink?
If the markings on the tyres for Seb are Yellow, why are his blankets blue and Lances Yellow, when Lance's markings are white?

Id love to know? With the rules change next year? And the no tyre warmer stuff? Does that just mean no tyre warmers on said set thats on car . Or about to go on car in garage? Or does that also include this back room tyre warmers also? Is it No warming Tyres period at any time? Perhaps someone back at Aston Martin can answer this.
