Long time Ferrari fan here but i've gotta say Mercedes has the best 'everything' in F1. Best driver, best car, best social media, best personnel, best strategists. Hope Ferrari beat y'all next season but I gotta give respect where it's due. Keep up the good job.

The most important guy in that garage is Toto. Without his leadership, all these talented guys would be suffocated in beurocracy and politics. Ferrari has great personnel too but the Ferrari environment is toxic for them to shine.

Phoenix King The only part I don’t agree with is “Ferrari has great personnel too”. Because Ferrari have had the worst ( hybrid era) strategists.
Mercedes has a larger budget on media than Williams’ whole team.
The Williams F1 team has a budget/yearly revenue of around $157 million per year according to their annual financial report, so actually not that bad. I believe force India used to have the lowest of less than 80 million. However, with this knowledge, Williams' performance seems even more dreadful.

@@justingt3rs Williams is a publicly traded company so they are obliged to publish their yearly and quarterly profit/loss statements, balance etc. You can find it on their website.

F1 engineering is in my family, my father & grandfather both retired lead in chief engineers and I have two uncles currently in F1 on engineering teams :) more drivers need to be like Hamilton, thanking the engineers and team after every race. The team wins not just the driver. Team sport

I have just completed automobile engineering. And i am interested in Motorsports. How to enter in the motorsports field as a race engineer? I don't have any guidance from anyone. So can you help me out please?
From what I have heard u get pretty great opportunities in England ,most of the universities offer internships to many Motorsport teams.
Though I am not completely sure . But it's tough for an engineer to get to the F1 world from India .There is a detailed ans abt this in quora

WOW what an insight. Just keep it that way guys. Keep it that way. Its very easy to lose it especially when you are on top. Live example Ferrari, they were on top and are still losing it by such small margins. Already looking forward to 2019, hope you guys build a car thats tough as nails, I dont think your 2017 and 2018 cars have been as good as the previous year cars, especially with the Tyres not working, a couple of engine issues, etc which I do not recall happening earlier. Dont let this become a down hill slope. Abu Dabi I am sure would be your all out 2019 On track Testing of all components ready or in beta.
