- In this video I will show you how I troubleshoot a bad speaker in my Hyundai Elantra. The symptom I was having is a buzzing distorted sound coming from the back speaker. I will show you how to remove the speaker from the door panel and test it to see if the speaker voice coil is blown or something else is causing the problem. Make sure you what the entire video as I will do a comparison between a good and bad speaker.

You always have good information, thank you
Well done, I learned something. Thanks for the video.
My 2015 Elantra has the same buzzing coming from the same speaker. Thanks for this video!
Do you have a video for the front driver door removal ??
Great video - and great explanations given throughout.
Thank you for this video! I was on Crutchfield's website looking over the 82-7303 bracket (same as you have in the video) and it their website kept telling me that the 82-7303 wouldn't fit in the rear for the Elantra and instead recommended the "American International HKSB110" bracket. My aftermarket speakers are 3.1" deep (Crescendo pwx-6) and there is no way the rear bracket they are offering would work. I'm glad I found your video because you confirmed that the 82-7303 bracket fits the Elantra rear doors, same as the front. I'm just hoping I will have the correct clearance with the pwx-6's because these speakers have huge magnets (150w RMS).
I know what you're talking about, but I did see two other install videos where they used the American International HKSB110 bracket with aftermarket speakers, and they fit just fine, although I don't know how deep they were. However, Crutchfield does automatically recommend the Metra 82-7303 bracket for the front speakers.
Superb, thank you. I can only imagine the cost of not doing this yourself!
thank you for sharing, i am using Hyundai Elantra 2016, i can improve my Car Speaker
Hi, is it possible to use the stock speaker ring from the stock speakers or is it just one whole unit?
It's one whole unit. If you want to install aftermarket speakers, you need to buy an aftermarket speaker ring. Link in video description.
@@dial2fast All right. Thanks, man.
Thanks for the video
He sounds like he drank 50 cups of coffee 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can i add a thing? Please keep in mind the polarity of the speaker. Otherwise it will sound bad. You can test the speaker by using a 1.5 or 9v battery and just tap in witch direction it goes, repeat with the new one and ready to go
Yes very good point. Both left and right speakers need to be wired with matching polarity so they are in phase
@@dial2fast ..... You mean original polarity, no good them wired alternate to the front, as they will cancel each other out.
I’m gonna go ahead and try to post here. I have a 2012 sonata with an after market amp and Rockford fostgate speakers. P specs. They have worked fine but randomly my driver door stopped working. Connections have no corrosion and seem fine they have continuity. I took off driver side speaker and plugged it into the right side and it worked fine. Kinda stuck maybe some advice for me please ?
Nice job. Those Panasonic speakers look to be a better quality than the OEM... I might have been tempted to put them in front and move the front speakers to the back. And a follow on option to buy the Walmart speaker pair for $30 to replace the rear and sell the 3 oem speakers for $50 each... Just an idea
Another great video. A lot of good information as always.
Can anyone tell me if the factory radio for the Hyundai Elantra limited edition has RCA output plug? I don't want to take apart dashboard if I don't have to
No factory radio has RCA output.
Is 5.6 speaker?
.... Well done Mate, sell the good OEM on Flea-bay to pay for your time !
Lot of work for a speaker 🔊 lol
