I watched the series so many years ago and fell in love with Indian cooking and Madhur Jaffrey. I even had the book from the series signed by her at a local book shop when she paid a visit. Lovely woman and program. Love to see it again. TH-cam doesn't seem to have it nor her Far Eastern Cookery Series which was brilliant too.

Her cookbook was the first Indian cookbook I ever owned! I used it to plan and create dinner parties for friends. They were so impressed, but I really didn't deserve the credit. It was Jaffrey's recipes and suggestions for menu planning. I still have that book. I still use and love it.

Wow! What's your favourite dish from the book?

@@BBCWorldService Baida Vindaloo or Vinegared eggs. My husband hates eggs and he even loves this dish! 😍

My copy of "An Invitation to Indian Co0king" has fallen apart into separate pages and signatures. The recipes never failed to satisfy.
