Grandpa Kitchen’s New York Hotdogs
Ingredients:
Thinly sliced onions
Thinly sliced jalapeños
Thinly sliced iceberg lettuce
Hotdogs buns
Chicken Hotdogs
Mayonnaise
Mustard sauce
Tomato ketchup
Instructions:
In a large pan, heat oil, cook hotdogs until crisp golden brown (Halfway through the cooking - Using tongs to hold the hotdog, make sallow slits with a knife).
Cut hotdog buns in half (keeping them intact)
In a large pan, heat butter, cut side down, place buns onto pan and toast until golden brown.
Thinly slice onions, lettuce, jalapeños - in a large pan, heat oil. - warm onions, lettuce, and jalapeños for a couple seconds or up to a minute (the vegetables should still hold their colour and texture)
Arranging the hotdogs: spread a thin layer of mayonnaise onto the toasted hotdog buns, add layer of the veggie mix, place a hotdog overtop, drizzle the hotdog with mustard, tomato ketchup, and more mayonnaise.
