Douglas Murray on Question Time with all the moral relativism and faux outrage you expect from the British chattering classes, after the death of OBL.

Douglas Murray was the only person making any sense here. That women on the panel seems particularly stupid. And then we have that guy who thinks tolerance lies at the heart of Islam lol. What planet are these people coming from?

Yasmin represents the worst about of Britain. In fact, I'm surprised she's still here; she said she would leave the day Boris Johnson became PM

Paddy you are always wrong I remember you saying there was not problem in Kosovo and only a week latter it all broke loose. Here you talk about the marvel of the Arab Spring and now we all know what a shamble that was. History always speaks for it self and shows the politician fools and their quotes for they are. Paddy you are a fool indeed. Douglas Murray is a man that speaks the clear truth with reason and foundation and without fear of unpopularity unlike the rest .
Yasmin as always, an underhand Islamic apologist.

Lantern Light What has just happened in Afghanistan if it is 'not' the biggest wake up call of all time to the West to cease interference In sovereign Muslim lands, and to understand and respect cultural differences. Islam is a religion of many things to many people all around the world, but it is 'not' a religion of peace and tolerance, and who do you know that from Muslim clerics and leaders themselves. Respect Islam in sovereign Muslim lands, and do not play 'lets all be friends' games in Western lands. The Quran is full of incredible beauty and poetry that knows no bounds of wonder, but it is NOT a religion of tolerance and peace. It can only be one if certain conditions of Shariah are created. I've got nothing but respect for Islam. However I have no respect for Westerner's whom exacderbate the cultural divide by trying to look like a 'hero' falsely proclaiming Islam to be innately peaceful in times of warfare

Neha Narang Pakistan had long term plans for Obama's absurdist approach to Pakistan, the Islamic world and the border with Afghanistan. They 'handed over' Bin Laden in Pakistan to give the president a moral and national victory but were thinking extremely longterm. You haven't seen any of the rest of Al Qaeda's leadership since this. Zahiriwi is safe and sound. Obama gave a green light to Pakistans' military complex and ISI rogue elements. That's why the Taliban took over barely firing a shot, and why you've never heard one word from Obama since that takeover. There have been rogue elements in Pakistans' military complex for decades whom want and support an Islamic takeover of Pakistan the critical border and to let the Taliban control their sovereign Muslim land under their rightful terms. Obama made critical mistakes, and he knows it because despite being a bad leader he was a good man morally and personally. He knows he made this horrific mistake, and I think the world is seeing his policies for what they were now.

Very funny that when it comes to the international law he wants the letter of the law, and the western world has to abide by it at any cost. But when it comes to enhanced interrogation techniques they glibly classify as torture, regardless of what the law says or doesn't say.

Wow. I read lots of the comments before viewing the video. I was amazed after watching, it's as if non of those commenting have seen the video. Why does Yasmin take ALL the abuse? Is it because she's a woman or a Muslim? She never once defended Bin Laden, she criticised the West and its hypocrisy. The lady claiming she was in NY on 9/11 said you can't compare Al Qaeda to the Nazi's, defending the Nazis. Paddy Ashdown was the one who took on Douglas Murray and made a fool of him. At one point Ashdown asked " how old are you" , Ashdown held the same views (along with any decent moral person) as Yasmin but didn't get any abuse in the comments. Murray claiming the police should have been sent in was laughable. Special forces should have gone in with the intention of taking Bin Laden alive. Wouldn't the world at the time and everyone alive today loved to have seen Hitler stand trial at Nuremberg? All those racist misogynists abusing Yasmin need to remember, America and the CIA in particular funded and created Bin Laden when it suited them when he was fighting the Russians in Afghanistan. The role Israel played, constantly criticised in the UN for its illegal land grabs and its treatment of the Palestinians, yet no countries do anything about it. This enfuriates the Muslim world. The illegal invasion by the US and Britain of Iraqin 2003 led to 461,000 Iraqi deaths according to the BBC. That doesn't include George W Bush's fathers illegal war in Iraq previously. That puts the 3,000 9/11 deaths into some sort of perspective. I'm not defending one over the other just pointing out relevant facts. The audience at the time mostly backed Paddy and Yasmin because they stood up for decency and the rule of law. Although Murray basically said the Geneva convention was wortless and pointless most believe it is neither. Since this was filmed til now not only have the standards we expect from our politicians nose dived so apparently have those of British society.

She took a lot of criticism for bemoaning that a horrible foul human was killed by the special forces of the country he had orchestrated a terror attack against instead of being taken custody during a firefight. That's why, and she deserved every bit of criticism.
The standards for decency are done away with when you murder civilians, the Geneva Convention does not apply if you violate the laws set forth in it, that is the rule of law and was applied to the Nazis during WW2. When the Nazis dressed up as American soldiers and were captured, attempting to kill American solders, they were summarily executed for breaking the rules of war.
I do understand that the circumstances and events you mentioned elsewhere are important, but what does have to do with a horrible human being put down like the animal he was?

    • @gary1642

@garrettjohnson7546 an animal or not he killed a fraction that consecutive US Residents murdered illegally. The West is as arrogant as it is hypocritical.
