I love American Psycho in Atmos, because Patrick's inner voice monologues come from only the height speakers, so it really puts you into his head and his thoughts. Doctor Sleep is an incredible mix, not only for the scenes of bombast but for the imagination behind when and how to use the height speakers. I LOVE that you placed the box for The Frighteners behind you! I wish more people would discover that movie.

So important to promote Blu-rays! Physical media will always beat digital streaming! 4K and Atmos on Amazon Prime, Netflix and Apple TV is not the real deal! It is capped and restricted by the quality of your internet. Plus they can remove the movies at any time over rights issues or not renewing licences. Buy as many Blu-rays and even DVDs as you can, especially upgrading old movies. Some movies will never be on streaming.
Apocalypse Now, 4k set, has an awesome atmos track, looks amazing too. Scarface 4k has a great DTSX track, and Back Draft 4k, also has a great DTSX track.

Found these on turbine media, Daylight Dolby Atmos/Blu Ray, they also have Twister on Blu-Ray/Dolby Atmos. I have Blade Runner 2049 4k/steelbook but not seen it yet
I was going to get Twister, but the 4k is supposed to be released this year, and if it does and if it has Dolby Atmos then I'll opt for that one, it if not then I'll definitely get their bluray.

Hello everyone, how do I take movies with Dolby Atmos with more than 7 channels? Most blue-ray is 5.1 or 7.1, the same with what you can watch digital. I have a denon x3800 and I can't find content with more than 7 channels? thank you.

Frank, is the audio mix for John Wick 4 better on 4K? I bought the four movie blu ray collection and thought the mix for 4 was terrible! The gun fights were quieter than the dialogue scenes!
First, thanks for watching the video, Isaac. I appreciate it! Secondly, as to answer your question, I just checked and it looks like the bluray has the same audio as the 4k, Dolby Atmos. So the audio will be the exact same. Do you have a sound system? If you're listening from the TV speakers or a lower model soundbar, that could possibly be the issue. I have the Samsung Q990B, which was their flagship soundbar system from 2 year's ago (damn time flys by fast 🤣). BR 49 is falsely marketed as being HDR and it isn't. It's been proven that the maximum brightness level doesn't exceed about 300 nits in the movie, making it an SDR movie in fact. The original BR, in 4K HDR blu ray on the other hand is excellent.
i love my dolby atmos some great great movies there to experience dolby atmos at its best please people buy these movies and put yourself in a cinematic experience in your own home and duck when them bullets are flying about when them war movies are on

I would love to hear which old movies (70s, 80s, 90s) that have been reissued with atmos audio you feel are actually worth buying again. I’m thinking about Jaws, Saving Private Ryan…I’m sure there’s a lot more but are they worth it for the atmos?
Try overlord the dday parachute scene is everywhere in room and best part is when he landing in water and in need to get to surface. When hw finale up there two fighter plane incoming from far rear left and now the big one a damaged dc3 incoming from the rear right. U can hear it from longlong distance and it comes with so much detail on the motor that are kinda broken down, and when it flies past ur mid it switches to the front speakers and crashes and the echo is insane. Amazing top atmos

When ever I have friends over, I always play the first 15 minutes of "Overlord" and I sit back to watch their reaction when that scene opens up, and not only mention, the movie is great! I also play the first 15 minutes of "A Quiet Place Part 2"... man, those monsters are... Whoa!...and the Atmos sound is off the chain; MUST be played on an Atmos or surround sound system. After reading all these comments, wouldn't it be nice if all of us on this blog could meet and watch our favorite video & sound clips together? Sweet.

Some of those I already have and I actually picked up a few on the Gruv March Madness sale. I'll be getting the ones I don't have. I'll be getting atmos this summer. I need to get my in ceiling speakers and another amp. I just upgraded my processor to the Acram AV 11. I'll be running it in pre amp mode with my amps. Thanks again for the vid.

My personal favorite is Deepwater Horizon with Bladerunner 2049 a close second. Best horror for me is The Others, Evil Dead rise is also very good. Oh yeah, Hancock surprisingly excellent Atmos.

So many 4K discs released in Australia have DTS soundtracks rather than Dolby Atmos. I want to see more Dolby Atmos sound tracks and IMAX scenes to really take advantage of my system.

Jurassic Park fallen kingdom is DTS-X not atmos
Yup, you're right. Thanks for the correction. Only Dominion has Dolby Atmos. Fallen Kingdom has a fantastic DTS X mix.

Gravity was the first movie ever released in Atmos for theaters back in 2013.
And it's still one of the best! Pretty crazy if you think about it.

BR 2049 has been proven to be in fact an SDR movie, falsely marketed as being HDR and Atmos.
Reviewing Dolby Atmos without having a proper Dolby Atmos setup is like reviewing a 4K UHD that is connected to a 1080p plasma TV.

There are no 4k blu ray players that play Dolby Atmos.
In fact there are several. Why do you not know this?
