DANGER! This yard was SPILLING its THORNS ONTO THE PATH!

  • G'day friends. Here we are on another adventure in the world of TH-cam yard clean ups! I initially thought this yard would be done and dusted in a day, but I haven't even scratched the surface! Though, the surface did scratch me a few times on this one, as we dove arms first into some very spiky overgrowth!
    The unsung (and camera shy) hero of this video was my wife, Clayre! Off camera she chopped and ripped through prickly bushes, and single handedly loaded the trailer!
    Thanks again for watching, as the client was not charged for this job! It was funded by TH-cam advertising revenue, Patreon and the Buy Me a Coffee app!

    G'day everyone! Sorry if you were disappointed that this was only the nature strip again, and that you'll have to wait to see the follow up. I endeavour to get as much work done as possible in the time frame that I have allocated for the jobs in these videos. I still maintain a regular mowing route and paying clients, and they were my priority in the gaps in the weather. But now that the ground is drying out and I'm close to being caught up, I'll have more space for jobs like these and a few more videos for you :)

    It’s disappointing that the council isn’t the one maintaining that piece of land. They had no issue sticking a great big utility pole in her yard and taking over the corner. Then expect a person in need of help to maintain all of that.

    • @janetpendlebury6808
      @janetpendlebury6808 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The power pole is not on her property, it is on the outside of her fence. Most councils here expect the householder to maintain the nature strip outside their house. I'm lucky - I live in a rural town and the nature strips are mowed by the council.

    • @SandrA-hr5zk
      @SandrA-hr5zk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@janetpendlebury6808 LOL, my mistake. It's only in the first before shot that he's far enough back to show it's a tree. When he was cutting the brush down with the hedge trimmer, it really looked like a utility pole up close. But even so, there's still a significant portion of the land taken over for the sidewalk and utilities that most others don't have to deal with. Just look at how much time he spent edging and cleaning up that manhole cover. I wouldn't want to deal with it either.

    You should dump the grass clippings from mowing the yard in the mud hole fill it up stomp it down and it will compost into dirt to keep that hole filled and you will have less to haul off. I love your jobs on here and really wish we had people like you in my neck of the woods because my yard and easement would easily be a multi part series of vlogs. Need tree removal and poison ivy and honeysuckle growing over the fence and volunteer trees growing. We have a huge tree in the front yard that every year it explodes it bark all over the yard limbs need trimmed up the list goes on but there is no garden beds to deal with. I rent and have lived here 4 years I am not physically able to do much in the yard. My son who lives with me tries to do things but got into the poison ivy this week and is highly sensitive to it and is home bound till it clears up. 3 days of ointment so far it is helping but still not quit cleared up.

    I watch a lot of this type of video on TH-cam and you are the best doing all the little details.
    Hope you and your family made it safely through all the recent rains.
    And thanks to Clayre for filming and assistance with cleanup.

    I would think, for the client, the nature strip is mentally the more important one to do first. That way they don't have the extra burden at the back of their mind, of what passers-by might be thinking. Personally I don't care what bit you are working on. Seeing you bring back order from chaos tricks my brain into thinking all is well in the world again. That in turn helps me feel more peacefull and happy, especially on my more "off" days. So thanks!

    What an awful thorny plant! Do you encounter it very often?

      Not since I'd been in this job anyway! I can say without any doubt that this was the worst plant I've ever seen haha.

    I have heard it said that behind every good man is a great woman. I loved seeing (not seeing) your wife work so hard along side you. Sending many blessings your way. And please stop apologizing. It's all good!

    Amazing transformation guys, great job Sean and Clayre. Maybe one day she'll be less camera shy 😁
    Can't wait to see you tear into that front yard!

    Great job guys. Glad the Mrs. could come and help you with this one, looks like a lot of work. She doesn't need to worry about the camera, we're all just a big family of weirdos watching landscaping videos on a Saturday night.

    Hi Sean! Another masterpiece was created! It was nice to see Claire in the background assisting where she can! This job looked quite difficult, but it looked cleaned up when you were done! I can’t wait to see part 2. 😁 Keep up the FANTASTIC work, and God bless! ❤️
