Thank you for doing my request to do a Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao Breakdown. Hopefully you can do the other Welterweight Champions as well: Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford.
The Modern Martial Artist you mentioned how Pac sometimes doesn't rotate his hand when he punches to squeeze through oppo's guard. I just wanted to add that a punch like that can be slightly faster and more powerfull were it's is a much more natural movement for our bodies, also because all the force is going foreward as opposed to some muscle rotating instead. The trade off of course is it's you're less defensive were you're shoulder and elbow are lower not covering as much of that side of your head. At least that's what I've learned. Great video so far!
For the same reason I watch vids about particle physics my friend. Things are just compelling in nature and watching a master go to work (And in this case have an expert analyze said master), even if they are something we never end up practicing. As Minius says, why not give it a go, there really is nothing quite like it. I would personally recommend boxing, bjj and see if you fall in love with either art like I did.
Hi, am from Papua New Guinea and I love watching him fight. Your statement is very true. He doesn't trash talk anybody or his opponents. He faces them in the ring. One of them is Magarito. He got what he deserve. Manny Pacquiao ALL THE WAY
David Diaz: "it just the speed man, guy's too fast" Brandon Rios: "I thought I was fighting an octopus in the ring, I even thought Freddie was also there punching me, I thought he was using a knife slicing me in my face" Shane Mosley: "I don't understand how a little guy has so much power" Timothy Bradley: "Speed, power, angles.. you better be ready for that" Miguel Cotto: “unbelievable power, counter puncher, speed and athleticism” Chris Algieri: "He's very unpredictable, there's no way to prepare for him” Ricky Haton: “He is incredibly fast and powerful” Oscar Dela Hoya: “His fists are solid and fast fast fast” Keith Thurman: “Pacquiao has a granite chin and punches like a brick wall; when he goes from this punch to that punch, was just so rapid” Floyd Mayweather: “I like his cologne when I hugged him”
John Simon Medenilla But Pac's obviously annoyed with Floyd that he's itching for a rematch lol, id disagree with him cuz Floyd's an asshole on blaming Manny using roids just to get the mental dilemma out and for the judges to favor him than Manny
Pacquiao's style is one of the weirdest, most interesting and most effective I've ever seen. That jump in and throwing a rapid 1-2-1-2 without alot of traditional looking hooks is something to take note of and watch
Also sometimes he throw his jab from side stance position which reminds me of Bruce Lee's back fist, Pacquiao is the greatest that had ever box inside a boxing ring. His accuracy and speed and power is out of this world, plus his iq too.
Trying to copy his style is honestly a pointless fruitless endeavour.. it seems to be tailor-made for his specific physical &mental traits.. plus it's very unpredictable/unorthodox It's ironic that Mayweather is kinda the same.. except his "Philly shell" style is a more orthodox "predictable" technique that's still impossible to master in quite the same way Floyd does without having his unique skillsets. Two sides of the same coin which funnily enough cancel each other out
I love both legends, but I gotta go with Pacquiao, cmon now. Fighting the tops dogs of the welter weight division at age 42. If he beats Spence this year he’ll be the first ever and oldest welterweight to unify 3 world titles!
♡♡♡ NOPE. NOT TRUE AT ALL. PACQUIAO IS THE ONLY ONE ON EARTH WHO CAN AND HAS EVER DONE IT. NO ONE ELSE CAN EVER WILL. PACQUIAO IS THE GOD OF BOXING. ♡♡♡

Pacquiao, after knocking David Diaz faced down in a 135lbs fight moved up to welterweight to Humiliate Oscar Dela Hoya, then moved down to 140lbs to put Ricky Hatton to sleep then moved up to welterweight again to stop Miguel Cotto and plays around with Joshua Clottey, moved again to Superwelterweight to break Antonio Margarito's orbital bone... He is the THANOS of boxing
Not no thanos at all...floyd schooled manny and made him look a Pathetic..his fans were all crying and mad...they made fake slow motion videos to pretend manny won. Floyd has the better record against hall of famers and the better resume over manny too.
@@abanks1229 your the only one crying my friend. Everyone wanted to see that fight happen in 2007 or 2009. There's literally a compilation of mayweather's excuses. Even mike tyson thinks he didn't want to fight pacquaio earlier in his career. I mean yea sure mayweather won, he should win since he was very calculative inside and outside of the ring. 🤡
Thanks man! PS, please make more videos like the 4k punches vid! I've been using it consistently on days I'm not in class and noticed a huge improvement in a lot of areas.
@El Guapo I'm a fan of Mayweather the way he box but for fuck sake it is not entertaining, almost no KO's and just scoring. for real. Simply not a warriors way.
@El Guapo Hahaha. Not landing clean punches you say? I dare you watch the entire fight in slow motion and count. It doesn't seem like Mayweather is winning. The only thing there is, is that he was able to accomplish his main goal to chicken run in the ring hoping not to get any knockdowns because he knows that if it happens, he cannot rob Pacquiao and the judges will have trouble in making him winner as they were paid by him. Real talk!
@El Guapo It just means that defending is more costly. In Mayweather's case, the only thing that made the option of going for knockouts almost impossible is his small hands. Which broke quite a few times when he was young. Young Mayweather was really aggressive. He always went for knockouts. He stopped being aggressive because of his limitations(frail hands). If you bless Mayweather with the hands of Roberto Duran he'd be a lot more aggressive.

Even watching Manny fight live over the years its crazy how much of his technique you can miss just because of how much of it he dishes out in the ring. The slow mo in this video does a great job of capturing not just what his fast hands are doing but just how much his footwork has been literally powering his career. Being a bit of history buff I've discovered that a lot of boxing's finer points and techniques have been underutilized or lost altogether in the last 70 odd years. Manny has made himself into a more complete package than most fighters, old school techniques like the vertical fist and the foot/weright shifting while punching (Used by Dempsey, Fitzsimmons etc), physical fitness uncommon for his age, and a mature mind inside/outside the ring. In his latest fight with Broner, Manny was able to set up a few of his classic combinations on a guy who is billed as an excellent defensive fighter in his prime. IMO whatever Broner's reasons of not throwing more punches were, Manny still showed us some of his wealth of experience and the limitations of Broner's defensive techniques.

I think it takes more iq in attacking on point than defending , cause you only need to focus on not getting hit rather than hitting the enemy without getting countered
Thank you for doing my request to do a Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao Breakdown. Hopefully you can do the other Welterweight Champions as well: Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford.
At first glance he is a simple 1-2, 1-1-2 fighter with extraordinary stamina, thus a brawler. But thinking deeply, to be able to win with just the most basic tool is kind of genius. It's like falling a tree with just a knife. As for stamina, on top of his already strong body, he is actually excellent at conserving it.
Pacquiao has speed, power, and stamina. He is a GREAT fighter. One of the best. But his style causes him to get hit. This is how Marquez put him to sleep. And even in many of his victories, he gets nailed quite a bit. Floyd RARELY gets hit with a big shot. Floyd is like Barry Sanders, very elusive. Sanders rarely took a big hit. He'd always make a small, subtle move, at the last moment, to avoid taking that big shot.
Justin Bryan totally agree but he was tactical in his younger years as well. But his tactics were not the traditional one used by most boxers. That's what Diaz keeps saying. His awkwardness was difficult to comprehend and confuses his opponent thus makes his moves unpredictable. That's one thing common fans don't understand about his moves and that makes them all think he is just punching and throwing his fist but in reality, he has his own style and tactics that makes him land his jabs and open opponents' covers. I'd say, he's been a boxing genius but he has become more careful as he learned from his losses. I super love this man.
@yesteryears memoire What's with the weird homosexual reference? What have you done with Floyd that people should know about? In second thought keep it to yourself! And how old are you? You sound like you are 14. Smh...Grow up.
I'm a south paw and watched this sparred tonight did these tactics I'm no pacman but this actually helped me aot especially being 38 now not competing anymore but t rdd ying to have alittle fun light sparring with younger guys
@@checkthebush6500 you're telling me his fight against Thurman wasn't good? He might not be as flashy as he was when he was younger but it was a good fight.
Not being biased because I am a Filipino but, his fights are way more interesting than his contemporaries. Floyd is a brilliant in-ring tactician but I can't bring myself to watch his fights because he slowly dismantles his opponent. Slowly. Pacquiao, charges head on, and gives the fans want: a good old boxing brawl!
My two great Filipino heroes: Manny Pacquiao in boxing and Efren Reyes in 9-ball! Both unbeatable in their prime and very good human beings. I will never get to your country but my Dad was there in WWII and helped drive the Japanese out of the Pacific. Put in at Subic and built landing strips on every island leading to Japan.
Not all boxing fans like brawls. Some of us find it boring after a couple rounds. Sorry buddy. Just because you don't appreciate sophistication that's not our fault. It's the different a sculptor and a miner. You like miners. So be it.
@@rogerwilliams4742 if by sophistication you mean like defend and run from the opponent all the time, throw some jabs to get points, and then run again, clinch when there's nowhere to run, do it over and over again until 12 round ends.. then yes, people don't appreciate it.. people paid so much money to watch a fight, not a running game..
@@rogerwilliams4742 People see sophistication as cowardice because it truly is. If he accepted Manny's challenge early on maybe he wouldn't be called one.
To be fair, textbook boxing is more of a guideline that should generally work for everybody and it is good enough for you to become a boxer, but not an exceptional one. It should be the base but not the end-all-be-all and boxers should adapt their style to their own strengths like what Roach and Pacquiao did to their style (and yes, it is as much as Roach's style as Pac's). This video is a good breakdown of all the things Roach and Pac did to their style that flies in the face of conventional wisdom but works because they have something to compensate for it (e.g. speed, athleticism, and a spring-loaded calf).
@Simba Simba leave it, those casual fans is not worth your time broda, they don't have anything else to do and keep hating on Floyd, it's normal, since Floyd is the richest boxer ever obviously people would be jealous on him, Floyd deserved all he has now, he's a warrior, very smart man and amazing boxer, let those losers talk shit on the man while he clean his butt with a 100R$ Dollar
Nice content as always! Very informative Im hyped up on how you disect PAC's signature punch: Lead Left Hand leap to right (side step) Btw below are my fav fights of Pacquiao (for those who want to know - thumbs up if you agree :)) Hardest fights: vs Juan Manuel Marquez Evolved from puncher to boxer puncher: fights with Morales Seen his best combinations: vs David Diaz Most tactical fight: vs Delahoya Best knockout: vs Hatton Best fight: vs Cotto (rnds 1 to 4) Most dangerous fight for Pac: vs Margarito *took so much prime out of him This is why he became the "Fighter of the Decade" THE LIVING LEGEND!
@veins almighty Clottey has the tightest defence (not sleekest), Pac's punches cant penetrate, if clottey actually fought that night Pac will also be in trouble as much as he fought against Margarito, dont know if Clottey is just very weary of Pac power so he chose to be gunshy instead of throwing punches 🤔
@@glennalcober6142 agree with you with the tightest defense, but I have to disagree on the others.. if he fought manny that night and left his tight defense.. he would have lost the fight immediately..
His style of boxing is amazing to behold. His rapid punches and strategy is like a work of art. It will going to be along before we see another Manny Pacquioa in the ring, once he retired.
I beg to differ esp after the Broner fight. HOWEVER! It’s his assertion in dominance, precision and power that made Broner choke on any confidence he had before the first round. On top of that, his footwork was still passable against someone(Broner) who is more ‘prime’ than he is.
Great breakdown. Must have been hard to capture decent quality footages from Pacquiao's "Blow-by-Blow" (the name of the boxing show in the Philippines which was somewhat like Friday Night Fights) days. But looking at those clips gives us a clearer picture of how much Manny has improved technically throughout the years, and also why Freddie Roach has cemented his place among the best trainers of all time alongside his mentor Eddie Futch.
Who wouldn’t love this God fearing, humble, generous, amazing fighter. Manny is far from perfect but he has a big heart inside and outside the ring - A true legend indeed.
And he mowed down legendary fighters the whole way. Many of them were 3 natural weight divisions bigger than Manny too. Pound for pound GOAT? Manny in his prime or Roy Jones Jr. in his prime. Both were amazing and head and shoulders above the rest.
@misa smith Are you joking or did you start following boxing yesterday? Your guy is a 200 pounder who never even fought a heavyweight. Roy Jones Jr. is a natural middleweight who won the WBA heavyweight title, along with 3 other division titles. Rocky Marciano fought at 185 and mowed his way through 50 heavyweight contenders. Is Usyk pound for pound as good as Manny? You must be joking. Manny won 11 world titles in 8 divisions. Your guy hasn't even shown the guts at 200 pounds to move up to heavyweight and fight what is currently a very lackluster group of boxers.
Manny Pacquiao is a complete boxer whose skill level may not be equaled by current and future boxers. He mastered head movements, foot work, fast combinations, freights, traps, offensive and defensive boxing skills. He is able to hit opponents moving forward or going backwards. Hit without being hit. Hit then move. He has displayed that ability numerous times. That is s testament to his skill that has lasted him over 30 years in this very physical sport. Most of his opponents have been taller., longer reach advantages, out weighed him. But his skill and ring smarts served him well. Most notable opponents have been Margarito, Cotto, de la Hoya. When he retires, his skill as a boxer will be missed. He is a ferocious boxer inside of the ring, but a nice regular guy outside of the ring. He never thought he was better than anyone else and never bad mouthed or trash talked about anybody. He just went into the ring and did his job and never harbored any bad feelings toward anyone. Good luck Manny Pacquiao and best wishes.
Superb analysis. Pacquiao is indeed a living legend, a once in a lifetime boxer. 8 championship belts in 8 different divisions is no mean feat. In fact he is the only boxer in history who achieved that feat. A future hall of famer and a true gentleman in and out of the ring, Pacquiao wil surely be remembered as one of the greatest boxers of all time.
The best of all, I still think, of all times, but Maybe Great Ali, if not for Parkinson, could have shown us much more Still like pacman for not talking trash
Age will catch up to any athlete sports wise even in regular ordinary lives. The legendary Manny Pacquiao had helped the sport of Boxing to get up on its feet & knees by bringing the excitement Lovely appreciated documentary from H.B.O to explain how well deserved Pacquiao is was and still.
6:39 this is the first im seeing superman punch being thrown so precise in a championship fight. just another proof of his intellect as a martial artist.
You’d normally see Superman punches in middle to lower level boxers but Manny throwing that in a main event world title fight is really shocking considering high level boxers would see that coming from Jupiter
Sure. Floyd is better defensively. Since he is basically using the rules of boxing ang being great at it. But thats just it. Nothing spectacular. I will remember pac Roy jones Tyson Ali Sugar ray Marquez But not floyd. Because floyd is just a boxer. Not a warrior. Warriors dont hug and expose their backs midfight just to abuse the rule of no hitting at the back. Warriors go for the kill not for the points. Boxing is entertainment. I didnt watch for someone to win with points. I watched to see warriors fall down and get back up again. Not staring angry at the ref for not helping him.
ELITE COCK FIGHTER you forgot dela hoya on that list, and I agree, floyd is a remarkable athlete, he has an immensely effective strategy and used it on all his fights to win, no one can deny he is a winner. But he’s no warrior, people watch his matches and fall asleep half the time, that’s why no one’s really rooting for him when he fights, he just can’t give us anything to be excited about.
Any fighter that has the balls to step into the ring is a warrior. If you actually watch Mayweather in the first half of his career, he was rather aggressive.
1.5k likes to 5 dislikes has to be some kind of record. AMAZING content man. This is how you build new boxing/mma fans. By instilling knowledge that they then can use in spotting the great new fighters coming up in our era.
All of boxer is dangerous but all of them become change there style in the ring when they fought manny No one can break Mannys offences that's why all of them turned into defensive style still Manny is a beast.
Pacman impresses me with what he's been able to accomplish at his height. I remember reading his biography one day at Borders and becoming a fan of him. Freaking hiding weights on him so he can make the scale and shit.
Pacquiao fought at the heaviest weight class his body frame would allow and was still able to be competitive against the best fighters those weight classes offered. Most fighters lose weight to fight smaller opponents
@@giancarl1014 I think the previous guy was referring to Pacman's amateur days (at 16 years old) when he was only starting and so poor that he had to hide weights in his pants to make the scale.
Haven't seen such technical discussion of boxing that isnt nonsense. Particularly discussing his rhythmic head weave. One, two, three, and his left fist flying to the opponents face while Manny's head is moving far forward, down and to the right to avoid the opponents strike. Awesome.
I knew manny pacquaio had great boxing iq but I never knew that he had one best fight iq of all times. This seems like the first time that this has been mentioned as such since most of the time people take note of his incredible athletism not his high fight iq.
cuz some haters think he remains as a slugger and is a one trick pony they don't quite understand how he constantly adjust to his opponents plans, once he see's it he adjust and make some crazy shit to make your plans be your downfall.
I know, it's annoying how a lot of people are not willing to give him that credit because there is no way you could go up eight weight divisions and beat a world champion in each weight class and fight guys much bigger than yourself without high fight iq. His athleticism alone could not make up for that weight and height disadvantage
they don't want to, cuz that's the only crap they are throwing him in their trash talks and doesn't wanna analyze their fight. They only see one thing he attacks relentlessly and doesn't realize how he forced those opponents to do the things they did.
yeah look how he can trow counter from inside .. the version of pacquiao now is more cautious he calculate his every move now i can say that pacquiao is more scientific now than before after the 4th fight to marquez
The narrator said that many trainers had refused PacMan due to his style. I wonder how many of them had fighters that had there asses kicked by PacMan.....What friggin' boneheads!
they are kicking themselves because they let dropped the opportunity to train one of the best fighters in history. but then again, maybe Pacquiao may not have been one of the best if it was not for Roach.
@@paulveitch5870 not really sure if that's true. his former trainer went with him to the US because he can't learn anything from Filipino trainers anymore. He needed to level up in the US.
Pacquiao's tricky left and right vertical guard piercing jabs were more similar to a wing chun straight punches and his parry entries were more likely can be seen from Kali Eskrima Arnis unarmed combat principles. Slick, tricky, deadly, legendary! G.O.A.T. 🐐
My dad grew up fighting and boxing, he fought briefly in the amateurs as well. We've been fans ever since I was young, and we used to train just to stay in shape and for me to learn how to defend myself. He would always stress two things, especially when we'd put on gloves and headgear and spar: don't sleep on the jab, and angles, angles, angles. Pacquiao is one of our favorite fighters, and every time we'd watch him fight, my dad would gush over all the crazy angles he would employ to send punches coming from seemingly every direction. The guy felt like he could almost be in multiple places at once. It's something that's always stuck with me and made me appreciate fighters who use angles to their fullest effect to mix up their offense and defense, guys like prime Lomachenko. Always a treat to revisit videos like this!
When thurman said he ain't gonna defend and pac should expect his wrath of offense, that's when I knew that there's gonna be an addition to pac's Knocked Down or Knocked Out collection.
This is the dumbest comment ever. Have you ever seen a gazelle with big calves? 😂😂 Most thick people are slow as fuck. That aside, Manny is all you will EVER have, so carry on..And I love Manny btw, but I can't stand ignorant people.
@@rogerwilliams4742 This is the dumbest comparison ever. You're comparing 2 different species with different types of legs built for different use in most cases. Having those calves helped Pac with burst and short movements, as well as weight shifting. Most boxers that don't have these kind of calves have to stay grounded when punching because of how it affects the power and technique. If you noticed Pac doesn't stay inside fighting all the time, he moves in then out and then alternates it to side movements, same with Prince Naseem who had that matrix style of boxing. This helped them move with short bursts to punch in blind spot angles or unguarded spots. Those calves has helped them add explosiveness on their lunges and Pac has used jumpsteps ever since to improve the thrust behind his punches and movement. Useful in adding maneuverability to his style and momentum on his punch. Also useful catapulting onto a perfect counter and keep themselves balanced when staggered. The other walks in all fours; how can you compare lol.
He has short arms so when he jumps in to punch you it lands perfectly. It’s like a perfect lunging shot. He connects precisely in motion at impact. That’s the gift.
Great aggression and fluid motion. He really put his natural flow and aggression with a unique boxing technique that showed how creative he can be with his talent.
At 12 years old, and watching Mike Tyson, for me it was all about KOs. As I got older, I begin to see boxing for the beautiful, brutal SCIENCE it is. Enjoying most fights my older family members found "boring". Because I understood what was happening. Even seeing and saying things before the announcers say it.
Actually the daughter of bruce lee visit him and gave him a remembrance items from her father bruce lee, and she said he's the only one similar like her fhather
One of the most interesting factors in fighting (and sports in general) to me is how their styles to a degree are determined by their bodies (physiologically speaking). Like for instance Pacquiao's style is a lot of bouncing around, knockout power- and he has some huge wrists for his size, as well as calves. His body physically lends itself to his fighting style. Same with Mike Tyson but his bouncing was more of a quad dominant movement to his quads were huge.
I think he has this offensive type that is also defensive at the same time. It really is hard to see that he has a good defense when it's mixed up with his offensive style. It's some kind of martial arts where every attack has built in evade to it. Not only that if he gets hit his endurance is also very high which is kinda unfair lol. The more he gets hit the stronger he gets like a passive in a game where he gains rage in battle.
He's style akin to a Roman Spear and a buckler for shield. His footwork carries his style. Take that out and the huge reserves of stamina he earned you will beat him.
And... all that achievement did not get over his head. He is still very humble and have helped a lot of people through charities. A real champion in and out of the ring.
Hahahaha. No just no. He got caught stalking underaged girls online. That and he's a major bible thumper who doesn't follow his own bible. He's a major hypocrite being used as a puppet by his country's government. But yes. I do still respect him as an athlete. But just that.

cause the number of weight divisions won isnt the only basis of greatness. it still boils down to the quality of oppositions fought and defeated. manny never undisputed never even became a unified champ that means he never defeated the other best fighters in the divisions which are the other beltholders. he fought titlefights at catchweights. some of his opponents were carefully chosen. manny fought in an era where there are more than 7 belts in a weightclass in 17 total weightclasses. to be the best you have to fight the best and defend your belt against the best. thats what greatness is all about

Pacquiao's style is one of the weirdest, most interesting and most effective I've ever seen.
That jump in and throwing a rapid 1-2-1-2 without alot of traditional looking hooks is something to take note of and watch
he can get away with a lot of conventionally "bad" moves because of his foot and hand speed. Much like Roy Jones did.
Agree.
He had a "walking-punching" weird way.
He punched like a typewriter.
The impacts were very hard and solid.
He was a KO finisher.
Also sometimes he throw his jab from side stance position which reminds me of Bruce Lee's back fist, Pacquiao is the greatest that had ever box inside a boxing ring. His accuracy and speed and power is out of this world, plus his iq too.
Trying to copy his style is honestly a pointless fruitless endeavour.. it seems to be tailor-made for his specific physical &mental traits.. plus it's very unpredictable/unorthodox
It's ironic that Mayweather is kinda the same.. except his "Philly shell" style is a more orthodox "predictable" technique that's still impossible to master in quite the same way Floyd does without having his unique skillsets.

Best defense is ducking the fighters that can beat you.
-mayweather

Even when most fighters talking shit to him, he saves it for the INSIDE of the ring. You HAVE to respect that.
"i'm not afraid of the man who practice 1000 punches one time, but of the man who practice one punch, 1000 times "
His style is not simple, hence no one can imitate him.
He trains for 36 rounds during training camp. That explains his stamina.

Justin Bryan totally agree but he was tactical in his younger years as well. But his tactics were not the traditional one used by most boxers. That's what Diaz keeps saying. That's one thing common fans don't understand about his moves and that makes them all think he is just punching and throwing his fist but in reality, he has his own style and tactics that makes him land his jabs and open opponents' covers. I'd say, he's been a boxing genius but he has become more careful as he learned from his losses. I super love this man.

textbook boxers made their technique bad by limiting other possibilities. Pacman is the example of an outside the box thinker.
Is Usyk pound for pound as good as Manny? You must be joking. Manny won 11 world titles in 8 divisions. dpatrick she’s a troll
@misa smith who you talking about? Lol. If he has flawless offense, incredible footwork and had great defense, he should be well known.
Pacquaio's footwork is a gift from the Boxing Gods.

Even the Philippines own abs cbn scored for Floyd 😂
The narrator said that many trainers had refused PacMan due to his style. I wonder how many of them had fighters that had there asses kicked by PacMan.....What friggin' boneheads!
it worked for the better other trainers would've tried to change his fighting style.
Paul Price Those trainers who rejected him would mostly be Phil. trainers cuz Filipinos tend to do just that to their fellow brethren
they are kicking themselves because they let dropped the opportunity to train one of the best fighters in history. but then again, maybe Pacquiao may not have been one of the best if it was not for Roach.
@@paulveitch5870 not really sure if that's true. his former trainer went with him to the US because he can't learn anything from Filipino trainers anymore. He needed to level up in the US.
They probably couldn't handle his speed - think about it.
Pacqiauo is one of the most incredible fighters I ve ever seen in my whole life. I love every one of his fights. Very entertsining and full of action.
It just works
How is King Crimson related to this?
Do you like boxing
Do you want a Boxing match in the future?
You’re damn right it does
You are everywhere.
Pacquiao's tricky left and right vertical guard piercing jabs were more similar to a wing chun straight punches and his parry entries were more likely can be seen from Kali Eskrima Arnis unarmed combat principles. Slick, tricky, deadly, legendary! G.O.A.T. 🐐
Very well said,I totally agree
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like Manny has become smarter and more strategic in his last few fights.
of course, after that KO by marquez, he became better
Old pac is more patient and strategic
that's what experience does to most fighters.
Evolving experience.
@@bluez1892 His stamina never gets depleted. He just has to be more cautious in order not to fall in a counter punch.
YES!!!
MANNY PACQUIAO THE ONE AND only Eight Division World champion!!!!
The most greatest and humble fighter ever I've seen!!!!
Pacquiao, the greatest of all time🙌🙌🙌
My dad grew up fighting and boxing, he fought briefly in the amateurs as well.
Been waiting on this for ages!
Finally! Someone just learned and studied Manny's techniques. Great video with right explanation.
When thurman said he ain't gonna defend and pac should expect his wrath of offense, that's when I knew that there's gonna be an addition to pac's Knocked Down or Knocked Out collection.
It's the calves... All in the calves
Basile Nkere his calves are huge
This is the dumbest comment ever. Have you ever seen a gazelle with big calves? 😂😂 Most thick people are slow as fuck. That aside, Manny is all you will EVER have, so carry on..And I love Manny btw, but I can't stand ignorant people.
Roger Williams yeah but have you seen those calves
@@rogerwilliams4742 it's a joke...nothing but a joke relax Roger geez
He has short arms so when he jumps in to punch you it lands perfectly. It’s like a perfect lunging shot. He connects precisely in motion at impact. That’s the gift.
I was like watching National Geographic channel? 😱
You're short to say watching a T Rex devour Laughing Hyna.

Floyd Mayweather has left the chat.

I like your detailed description of Manny's fighting style.
Boxers need to study pacquiao. Guy is an offensive machine. Always dangerous.
You cannot apply the style of MP if you have no speed.
Many boxers did..all falls.
No one can immitate manny's style...
If you want to stop pacquiao's offence, hug him like floyd lol.
Manny genes made him do what most of boxers cant do. His calves are gigantic, fast twitching muscles and unorthodox fighting style.
That combination when he downed Cotto with a left out of balance uppercut... that moment I knew I was watching something special.
😂😂😂 op. Imbalance
defensive offensive
He's style akin to a Roman Spear and a buckler for shield. His footwork carries his style. Take that out and the huge reserves of stamina he earned you will beat him.
He got nerfed by age still lvl 99 though
And... all that achievement did not get over his head.

Love his uppercut with the jab hand and the straight Power left to follow. Simple combo but he makes it look like he invented it and it’s something new.

A real GOAT,,a true champions champion, peoples champion of the people for the people, long may he continue to help the people, he will never be forgotten, always in our minds and hearts.....
When you see these men perform at such levels, out of desperate courage at many times, you feel a deep sense of respect.
Finally you cover the great Pac-man techniques
In NBA, you get to be the GOAT when you have the record, the wins, rings, and the legacy. So why is an 8 division champ not greater than a runner?
Undefeated who didnt leave their own divisions to try on other boxers?
Pacquiao wins over the runner. But not in the decisions of 3 judges and referee. You get that?
cause the number of weight divisions won isnt the only basis of greatness. it still boils down to the quality of oppositions fought and defeated. manny never undisputed never even became a unified champ that means he never defeated the other best fighters in the divisions which are the other beltholders. he fought titlefights at catchweights. some of his opponents were carefully chosen. manny fought in an era where there are more than 7 belts in a weightclass in 17 total weightclasses. to be the best you have to fight the best and defend your belt against the best. thats what greatness is all about
denver de gracia im sure you are referring to floyd hehe.... he is a 5 weight champ
@@Matt11MG hahaha floyd clearly outboxed and outclassed manny. LOSERS makes the excuses right?....who claimed to have a torn rotator cuff?
