Manni followed the Great Bruce Lee and the one inch punch. To deliver a devastating blow to his opponents. Truly a GREAT fighter. He understood the mechanics behind a punch.
He didn’t get made fun of. He was just really really poor. And he also used to put weights in his shoes so he can be heavy enough to box. But yeah ur last sentence is 100% correct.
3 decades from now, Manny will be in the hall of fame and will still be remembered like Ali. He is really loved and accepted by the people all over the world and really is the people's champ. He might not have a perfect record, but he's one of the best boxers and entertainer of our era. He goes in the ring not to win by points, he goes in there to entertain and knock people out. My heart jumps from my chest every time Manny steps inside the ring.
One of Pacman's greatest weapon is his speed. To be honest, with Thurman, his age was already really evident. He's not fast with his punches like he used to be 10 or 15 years ago, not anymore. But still, his years of experience, his technique, his maturity and mastery of boxing is enough to beat his much younger opponent.
Patrick De Santos Yes, I'm glad we saw a glimpse of that speed. Unfortunately, his stamina wasn't as he used to be to maintain that speed. Manny also somewhat failed to capitalized when Thurman was hurt on his body, I guess that's because Pacman's tired. Respect for Thurman though for surviving even though he's hurt multiple times, that's the heart of a champion.
@@ronaldinho031003 I Agree ! He mentioned when asked by a Filipina reporter right after the fight. He said that he felt dizzy after being hit by Thurman's solid punches, that's why he slowed down. Well, after all he's just human and admitted that he was vulnerable to Thurman's power.

lol... I remember being young and thinking 43 was ancient too. Now that I'm 40, I see that some things have gotten worse but some things have improved. Things like stamina and speed aren't what they once were but power, focus and IQ are better. It's just a matter of accepting it and adjusting to the changes. Is it harder to stay at a high level at that age? Absolutely, but if it's something you've done your whole life I'm willing to bet that it's more of a mental thing. I bet the stamina is the hardest one to adjust too for someone like Manny.

His story is inspiring. He probably got made fun of at some point during his childhood. Man went out to prove something and prove it he did
He didn’t get made fun of. He was just really really poor. And he also used to put weights in his shoes so he can be heavy enough to box. But yeah ur last sentence is 100% correct.
he was 16 when he debuted pro he lied about his age
why make up a story and extrapolate potential motivations from it? Why not just do a little research...
@@jakestatefarm7609 -every- person has felt small at one point or another in their life.
In contrast, His speed/quickness and power floored Thurman in the 1st round ! lol.
Despite being 40 people even say he looks and performed better than he did 5 years ago
I thought Thurman was kinda good.
Not as aggressive as Pacquiao but damn was that a good fight.
Before the fight: "Demoralizes Manny"
After the fight: "Praises Manny"

12x World titles
8 Division World Champion

And btw he skipped 2 weight classes. Could have been 10 division champ easily. EASILY.
