Brilliant discussion ✨🏆✨ Thanks Toby. Fascinating story. David stoked you focusing on the business relevance angle so doggedly. “Old dyeing and the new are not yet born” Sadly beautiful and simultaneously tragic. In the heady years of rainbow nation it was a case of a skills transfer. With the current discourse, (Zondo) government has shown to be malevolent and criminal on all fronts. Business now has no other choice other than to stand up and be counted. Without business we are all phukt. Electron as the gold standard, blockchain, and the Vietnam model gets my vote. Government have nothing to offer that is needed for a functioning society. If Cape Town get this new PPP solution sorted ... we are sorted. Bring on electrification of the future ✨🏆✨
So profound 🙌 today I’ve learned a lot about our economy, Young people need to learn about our economy and Solution presented ❤️Mr Chance thank you this is educational
Good interview. It's unbelievable how there are so many wise, smart South Afcns (including the overseas South Afcns & those from overseas who live(d) in SA), yet instead of those people being politically respected as bright individuals like Toby & David deserve to be, they are persecuted more than anyone else and I know EXACTLY what it's like to be in that situation. Cheers, chaps✔🎖✅
I agree a 100% with Toby Chance, the best ‘chance’ for SA’s future is for smaller parties to band together against the ANC. The ANC (basically a mafia party) is the real enemy! Opposition parties have to ensure that the ANC is definitely below 40% & that the EFF remains below 10%, this possible marriage gives me nightmares! Opposition parties must put petty dislikes aside & focus on dethroning the Band of Thieves “ANC”! SA’s future depends on it!
I have noticed a strong call in your recent posts for business to enter politics, I guess this stems from the frustration of the citizens to hold the government to account. I personally think that business in South Africa already has sent an extremely strong message through the investment strike, which is partly why the economy is in a downward trend, unfortunately, the feedback loop that would result in citizens voting for change as a result of this, is broken and the death spiral just gets deeper. When I look at the USA where business has a strong political influence, I am not sure that this is what we should strive for in South Africa.

Hi Toby
The major opposition parties need to get around a table and formulate a collective strategy to take down the ANC in 2024.
