This is a home packed full of the charm and character that is only ever found in DIY projects. You can really tell how much of themselves Laura and Kristyn poured into this build. I love how they stumbled into the tiny house movement and only discovered the benefits along the way. And what a remarkable price they were able to build this house for! We hope you enjoy the tour. With Love, Bryce & Rasa
What an amazing tiny home those two women built, and most of it with recycled materials. I just love that. And it feels really warm and welcoming and fits their characters so much.
Yes! A tiny house bathroom with women self care products in mind lol. I love seeing women designing tiny homes, it just hits differently. My girlfriend and I currently have been living in a 24' x 8.5' tiny for over 1 year designed by men, it's decent but they could have designed the space much better but we rent so now we know what we like so when we build our own we know exactly what we need, thanks for sharing!
7:00 you can tell she was gonna say "Netflix and chill" and had that "wait..." moment ahaha. Lovely house and couple ♥ Inspiring to all of us who wish this kind of living
Sometimes tiny houses - especially the ones made companies - can seem a bit cookie cutter and sterile white but I love their homey mix and match of colours and styles as well as their reuse of secondhand materials. It's great that the tiny homes movement is helping so many young people to get on the property ladder who would never be able to otherwise.
I agree. And I very much enjoy seeing homes that people have built themselves, whether from plans or their own design (*especially* their own design!) I like seeing homes that are down-to-earth and real (made to be lived in, full time), as opposed to those boutique sorts that are being used as a B&B type of arrangement. (Just my personal preference for what videos appeal to me).
Sadly the Tiny Home movement should be helping people of any age this these tough times. Its a pity more shires or local/federal govt bodies don't get together and scrap all of that red tape which prevents these homes being built. Even the WA govt pats themselves on the back and says they are building so many public housing complexes but they appear to be all 3-4 2 storey houses. People waiting on the public housing lists just want a decent roof not all the trimmings. many people want to downsize too and it just doesn't seem possible to live simply any more. I see those beautiful, apparently well managed Eco type community estates in the USA I would give my eye teeth to live in with communal gardens, libraries, kitchens etc why cant Australia have them too. So much space in the country to build them too...
@jennyc1846 the real estate lobby is very strong so the tiny home movement is struggling for a toe hold in many places. Banks, real estate companies, and even local councils/towns cannot make much money from tiny homes so laws and codes are enacted to make it difficult, if not imposdible.
There's another side here in America. It is about the dollar, but not how you think. I live in a small town. Someone proposed a nice trailer park, and we all said no. The taxes paid on less expensive homes are obviously lower, one of the benefits to the owners. However, adding more homes would require another addition to our elementary school and a larger contract to bus to the nearby high school. If it was a 55+ park, it would require our tiny volunteer fire/ems to expand to full time. The taxes paid by the new smaller, less expensive homes requiring these things wouldn't be covered by those new homes. New roads to pave and maintain (Lots of snow and ice here.) A bulk of the costs would be shouldered by the citizens already paying a choking amount of taxes, who are satisfied with the current level of services. I agree restrictions need to be eased, but it has to be done in a smart way that doesn't benefit some and hurt others. The conversation needs to be started in town meetings all around the country.
I really like how he checks in each step like asking can we go check out x space. Good showing of consent and making sure even though you had consent st the start just making sure everyone is still comfortable.
Amazing, so you young and so responsible. They already have a house, land, and future projects. They have a bright future ahead free of debts, mortgages, rents, etc. 😊
You always give the best home tours. Seeing all the cool unique places, you have been inspiring me for years! Thank you Bryce for doing such a great job finding and sharing these beautiful homes.
Bryce and Rasa always sum up these tinies so well so yes, this is indeed 'a home packed full of the charm and character that is only ever found in DIY projects.' A truly delightful space Laura and Kristyn have created here. Love it.
Testament to the fact that anyone can DIY it (erm... with plumber and electrician friends ;) ) And despite the fact that this was their first major project, they have created a really beautiful living space -- a real home! Well done, girls! You deserve to be proud of your creation.
The fact that they designed and built it themselves makes the house so beautiful, cozy, and have so much character. They also just seem like really lovely people and I wanna be their friend ❤
These women should give themselves a big pat on the back for how much they managed to fit in this tiny house. It's designed really well and even having stairs rather than a straight up ladder to reach the bedroom even if the stairs are a bit narrow is so important in my eyes. The little amount cost wise to build this is also amazing. These women live in my city too btw. They really have done so well all round - I'm impressed.
Thanks Andy! We are both doing great. Really enjoying being back in Australia. It's much warmer and way less rainy that New Zealand, so we are enjoying the break! We hope you enjoy this episode!
Absolutely gorgeous home the girls and family have created, and their new plot looks stunning. Wishing them all the best for their next chapter ❤️🏴❤️
I do hope we'll get to see them again, on their new land and with the existing structure on that new land, incorporated into use with their tiny home. Bryce, I hope you get to do an update! 🥰
Such a gorgeous home and a lovely couple. I really love the bookshelf and ladder situation … can’t wait to see an update when they move their home up to their new property 😊
I have seen that type of arrangement elsewhere- a book case on a ledge reached by a rolling ladder- and it worked out well and looked really nice. I might try to do something like that in our build.
These young ladies have done an awesome job. Its so nice too to see families coming together more instead of spreading themselves all over Oz or the world. I can't wait to see what they do with their next place and if that was their block you showed Bryce it looks stunning. I do hope you do a follow-up. BTW apologies to Rasa and Bryce, on several videos I have said I love the content but it was a shame the pictures were so blurry... turned out it was our reception in our new rental...I wish someone had come back to me to say there was no problem with the picture...we now have NBN and the picture is fantastic. Thanks guys, keep up the great work and sorry again for the negative comments, Living Big In A Tiny House is the best channel on TH-cam!!!. cheers from WA 💜
For a very young couple that price and the final outcome is awesome! especially for people with no serious building experience- this one feels more realistic for your average person and I'd be THRILLED to create something similar. Plus the camp-style outdoor table on the grass looks and must feel so cozy. Gorgeous! love the colourful painting of their pup :)
I cannot wait to see what Laura and Kristyn do with the next phase of their tiny home project now that they've secured their own beautiful plot of land to continue their dream homestead. So inspirational, Thank you for sharing!!!
Beautiful Tiny! Open concept, clean space sprinkled with bits of color. Love it. Bravo to the girls. Great job! Thanks again for sharing Bryce. Keep us updated with the future of this Tiny. 🤩
The host is wonderful. No matter how the house looks, he acts like it is new and great. I love how he makes any owner feel as if their house is the very first tiny house he has visited.
Thats really a beautiful home, a precious perl. The girls are so sympathy. Living in that rooms are very well. Thanks for presenting, good luck at next time. 🍀🤗💓😉
Really well done ladies. Looking at the front of the home, I never would’ve thought you’d have all that inside. Really well laid out and I love your style. Love the bookcase…could never part with my books. 🥰🥰
This is such a fantastic movement and it's made even better by using reclaimed materials and second hand items. Would love to see this take off all over the world.
Land or parking in the US is a HUGE problem. Most states don't allow tiny houses. If it is "RV" certified, you might (if lucky) get to park it in an RV park. Even if you own your own land in the US, you are NOT allowed to live in a THOW on your own Land!
Speaking about air fryers. I actually got rid of my stove/oven in my studio flat, and instead I opted for an air fryer as well as two portable induction cook tops (however, I realized I actually only use one of the cooktops)... The only thing I can't do in the air fryer compared to a full-sized oven is big round pizzas, but it works great for doing normal oven stuff, heating left overs, baking muffins/cakes, frying vegetables (and decently sized squared panpizzas). Everything I would use a normal oven for. The great thing is that I can put away these appliances when I am not using them, increasing the work-area and the multi-purpose nature of the kitchen. I can honestly recommend this for anyone wanting to downsize as It actually works WAAAAY better than I expected. :)
What an undertaking without prior experience & the results are fantastic. Great job ladies👏 I loved the bathroom sink but green is my favorite color. Best wishes on your future project.
Oh my, love it. Lol the building plans....Bryce you & Raysa make me think about moving way across the pond.....such a great couple. What a beautiful build........very cool....
Lovely tiny house. I like the fact that they have mixed old and modern together, the bathroom sliding cupboards ans the curtain in front of the vanity as well. Your house is cosy and beautiful Krystin and Laura.
I love the end entrance! It’s allowed for so much more use on the side walls with higher windows instead of floor to ceiling, which still allow light and views. I find this house beautifully designed and super cosy.
These women should definitely be proud of their accomplishments! They are fortunate to have had some help and they all did a fantastic job! Blessings of love and light to all!🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💙🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💛🙏🏼💚🙏🏼
Another one, so well designed, providing enough storage & space for everything! I love the eclectic look you two put together! You should be very proud!
Well done girls! What an achievement! I absolutely adore your home! Everything about it: the kitchen, the bathroom, storage solutions and overall feel. Congratulations!
What a beautiful place, and such a fun down to earth couple! The loft is too low for me personally, but the rest is so supremely liveable! That end entry with the huge window is going into my dream list!
This might be my favourite Tiny Home - Can not believe it was built and designed by two people who had no idea about tiny living when they bought the trailer - inspiration for all of us :)
what a cute tiny home well layed out , however for me id need more head room in the sleeping area , but it is very lovley I congratulate them for buying some property for their tiny that sounds exciting . A lovley couple they are .
This is one of the most cleverly designed tiny homes I've ever seen. Better than all the pro-made ones I've seen videos about, for sure. Such an economic use of space. Such a warm and inviting style too. Bravo!

I just LOVE this show! Every week is a visual sensation, a motivation, a streak of jealousy/envy and just pure enjoyment. Bryce has the most beautiful and welcoming presence to him. Thanks ladies. Thanks Bryce. ❤

What a pretty home and all the outdoor living space is fantastic. That land they bought looks so beautiful and how wonderful that they just need to roll their current home onto their land.
We haven’t seen a tiny with the entrance at the end for a while. It really is a great design for being able to utilise more wall space inside. This home seemed bigger on the inside as it is so well designed. Loved the bathroom design. The extra deck and pergola area would be essential I think. Well done girls! You are both a total inspiration. 🩷🩷
What style is it she asked? It's Theirs, their home, their love, their work ❤ It's a gorgeous and charming tiny home ❤ I love all aspects of it, the cosy sleeping loft and the amazing window by the sofa with the plants just leads straight into thinking the room carries on outside. I love everything about this Tiny! With one addition and an adjoining deck on the new property this could be a forever home. Thanks for sharing, Kristyn & Laura!
From the outside it looks really tiny but inside what an amazing job they have done with it. Love the tiny homes with a loft space. Can't wait to see the next video when they have completed it.
This channel has been my favorite one in all the years I have been watching. I just love this story with the young ladies and their wonderful home. It's beautiful, fun, well made. And the fact you still use your friendly music when you walk in is fantastic. Thank you.
Truly enjoyed this episode. The world often seems headed down a gloomy one way road, so seeing this beautiful young couple taking control of their lives does my heart good. They've achieved AMAZING results. Their home looked so tiny from the outside and inside it was like the Tardis ... HUGE & COMFORTABLE. I wish them well in life.

Literally living their best cottagecore lives, so happy for them that they got their own piece of land!
Designing a bench seat into the shower is clever. I think I'll have to steal this idea!
A true tiny home with a lot of personality.
Lovely home! Super excited to see a part two on what these girls are getting up to at the new property!
Fantastic job! Fair play to the girls for building themselves a character tiny home!
I love the little library. What a beautiful little home. Can't wait to see the new land. Congratulations.

Beautiful couple? Are they sisters?
