- This dream tiny house is perfect for family life! After spending years saving for a conventional home but constantly falling short of a housing market out of control, Lloyd and Kylee took the bold step to build an unconventional home for their family and have never looked back!
This tiny home is packed full of clever design ideas which makes it ideal for family living. There are large open living spaces downstairs including a huge kitchen and bathroom and upstairs there are three, totally private bedrooms ensuring each family member has much needed space for themselves.
Amazingly, this home was constructed for less than the deposit on a conventional home, which has enabled this family to really get ahead of the game. In the future, they intend to expand on this home by adding on a second tiny house and eventually using the money they save on rent to purchase land.
Undoubtably, this is a brilliant example of an exceptionally well designed family tiny house. We hope you enjoy the tour!

From the outside, you wouldn't even guess how spacious the kitchen, sitting area and bathroom is. And having 3 bedrooms in the loft, where they can stand and not crawl around, makes this one of the best Tiny House designs I have seen so far.

Yeah, and I didn't see any sacrificed space in the living room. It blended right into the kitchen.
I was surprised with the fact that they could stand in the loft, too! I feel like would love to make a design just like theirs for my own tiny house!

I love how much they considered their daughters' growth and need for privacy in this build and their future plans! You can tell they are GOOD parents- prioritizing their kids' needs and making sure they'll be as set for success as possible. Really heartwarming :)

That window in the master bedroom really did look like a picture. Wonderful setting, roomy, functional space. All their planning turned out for them.

That seems really workable for a family. Being able to stand in the bedrooms, having privacy for everyone, a realistic bathroom for 4 people to use, etc. I feel like I could copy their layout plan and live comfortably with my husband and two kids. They did an amazing job with the layout and storage solutions. Beautiful home and property!

Wow, this couple really did some deep planning over those five years exploring the perfect floor plan for their home. Really functional, Love the bathroom. As mentioned, it really does benefit to plan for the future at the beginning of the initial design phase. It will be really great to see their next chapter with their expansion. And to prioritize their children when designing the environment is very impressive.

Love this design. It's open, airy and the ability to be able to walk in the lofts vs crawling is genius to say the least. I would absolutely love to see the plans for this build. It's something I think I would love to see built here in the state's. Thank you for showing us this beautiful home. Awesome
I agree! I love the way the family could walk, upright, throughout the 2nd floor. Sorry you weren't quite able to, Bryce, but I noticed you didn't have to crawl or even duck walk! At 5'2", I would have no problems. And that bathroom was amazing. Love the space for both a washer and a dryer, and not a combo. That's for me!

This is one of the best builds I have seen. It's nice that the walkway is high enough to walk in and you can walk around the bed too. Great design.

Happy to see Bryce again .. beaming with enthu 🤗 In india, it's around 1am now. Everytime I see your tiny house series..it feels more like a therapy .. bringing people's extension through their beautiful homes, not to leave your amazing personality & ur gf's great camera work. Everytime I see these homes..I get reminded of cosy tree house I used to live during one of my vacations in hills. It was one great experience. The warmth, cosy feel with beautiful view in nature is all I get reminded of. Some day in future, I would like to get a beautiful tiny house for myself..just like the very warm tree house I once got to be in ❤️

This is by far one of my favourite tiny house designs. I love the layout and standing room upstairs. The only thing that I would change would be the windows in the kids rooms and make them bigger to escape in an emergency.
The kitchen is lovely, and it's so large that multiple people can be in it at the same time.

I’ve been following this channel since 2017, and never missed a video - thank you Bryce and Rasa for continually delighting us with your enthusiastic, knowledgeable , and beautiful work. I’m always amazed at the quality you’re able to put out, and how you are able to bring out the best in each tiny house you visit - many videos , my initial reaction has been “hmmmmm… I dunno….” But by the end, I’m able to see the beauty in each person’s home, and that’s because you both are able to see it! Thank you for the work you do!

That's a very beautiful and nicely designed tiny house.. Once you're inside, it doesn't feel like its a tiny house.. the interior is great and white color add so much brightness and space... And what a view from the couch.. love it💚

The beauty of planning a future tiny home for the oldest daughter, and I am sure the younger daughter when she is ready, is they can design them so that when they choose to leave home for university or just to explore the world, the tiny home can be used as a fully functional apartment. I love how her elder daughter’s bed can be folded and turn into a desk! That is ingenuity at it’s finest.
I love this series, I love rewatching old videos, love the format, love the energy, but this is a msg to shout out to Rosa's epic camera work and editing. It has completely spoiled any other reno/self building shows. The angles and the steady camera work makes it a superior series. So just thank you, and please keep it up.

This home is absolutely amazing! I can not believe how well they’ve designed it! So much space! The huge bathroom, the 3 bedrooms, standing room in each one! Incredible! Definitely now my top favourite design that I’ve ever seen as it would work perfectly for my lifestyle! Oh and all the glorious blue pops of colour made my soul sing!!

Two standouts I really loved, (besides the walkway) were that master bedroom picture window and also seeing that gorgeous pendant chandelier hanging from the high ceiling. To me, it definitely didn't feel like a tiny house whatsoever. This fun-loving couple really knocked it out of the park with this one. Lest I mention their plans on setting their daughter with a practical and promising start with a towable of her own! BRAVO!
This is one of the most impressive layouts I’ve seen. Their future plans sound just as impressive, knowing ahead of time that they will want more space for the eldest daughter. The yellow and blue chandelier is just gorgeous, as well! Impressive family and home! Thank you for another fabulous video!

Wow! This family has found a stunning place to park their tiny. Those views are magnificent. And all their planning has paid off in a wonderfully liveable home. From the moment this video started I could feel Bryce's enthusiastic energy and throughout the video Rasa's beautiful emphasis on the lovely, tiny details - even the sun coming through the trees! - just makes us aware of why we love watching the videos you make yourselves. I still love seeing any homes you show, but your hearts come through on the DIYs.👍👍

Great design love that they've not just thought of the present but the future as well and know the space won't be enough with a growing family. Even owning two tiny homes or two connected together is still going to have a smaller footprint than most houses.
I really love their extensive use of lowered walkways allowing the parents to stand up in the upstairs. Beautiful house and location.

The design is very practical and family oriented. I like how they make a separate bedrooms for their daughters. The view from the window is also stunning. Their bathroom is also so spacious and comfy.

Absolutely one of my favorites. Great design and since blue is also my favorite color, I love all the touches of blue throughout the home, especially that kitchen sink and basin inn the bathroom ❤
foldable bed that turns into a study table is such an amazing idea! Eliminate the temptation to study in bed which actually super bad cuz we tend to be lazy and sleepy while on bed. Not a suitable to study
This is the most livable tiny house I've seen yet! I like that they can stand upright and have separate bedrooms. I also like that they're very conscious about what is age-appropriate for their two daughters who are so far apart age-wise.

I really appreciate the reality of what it is like to live in New Zealand as a family of five! I have always wanted to go tiny because buying a home in New Zealand is no longer a reality for people here but a luxury. This has made me want to go tiny even more seeing how their families dynamic has worked so well for them and given them a life where rent isn’t so stressful. Thank you for such a lovely video and being open about your situation it has really made me think more about going tiny for my little family x

Such a clever design, one of my favourites so far! Also as a person who grew up sharing a tiny space with her sibling and parents without any option for privacy, I am amazed that Kylee and Lloyd managed to incorporate separate bedrooms for their kids in the house plan. And the actual bath in the bathroom! Absolutely brilliant, I'm in love.
I got hooked watching LBIATH during the start of lockdown in 2020. I love the houses and how the owners are happily explaining every part of their respective house. It is therapeutic to watch this show as it inspires me how to live simply and be with nature. Bryce is a good interviewer and presenter. It is a show worth your time.👍👏
