    You can already tell the “next level” skills when you were assembling the face frame. It’s like night and day compared to your “beginner” build. It would have been awesome to have done a before and after shot of the little nook. Great job! Thanks for sharing.

    Thank you for this video! I was glued to the screen. (That sounds like I'm attempting a carpenter joke, but I'm not). I really appreciate all the tips, how you break the task down into doable parts, your explanation of how you solved the problems, and your sense of humor.

  • @JB-nf8nk
    @JB-nf8nk ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great Job! Looks like you already figured out all carpenters keep their "breaking down" station right at the door. Have to think about flow, so the largest things are going to be coming in and out right at that door, so keep your isles wide and that space clear. Get you a couple different sizes of centipede tables to use right there - you won't regret it and you're back will thank you one day!

    TY so much for the full commentary - really helps. I do have a question. I have trouble keeping corners square. Even if I use a square they seems to shift. Can you talk more about that. I even got a corner jig but well...hmm....maybe its operator error here?

    • @Wouldwoodwork
      @Wouldwoodwork  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marymacfarlane4275 thanks! Are you corners not square on your face frames or the actual cabinet?
      If it’s the cabinet make sure you use stretchers when building them on the back and tops. Make sure the pieces are cut to the same length as well, that’ll ensure they are square.
      If it’s the face frame. You want to make sure your vertical cuts and horizontal cuts are cut to the same measurement to a 1/16”

    Great work - I’m doing something similar and wondering if the plywood for the top of the bench that gets upholstered was cut flush with the front or did you overhang it a little?

    I am working on a project and would love to build this! You don't happen to have any plan drawings do you? I am making two - one on each side of my fireplace insert cabinet. I have approximately 90" on both sides - so a long bench. I am also considering making them come around the corner - so corner bench seats? I would love your thoughts and would be happy to pay for any drawings/plans!
