  • Welcome back to Idealist! We've scoured the interwebs to bring you 10 luxury cars that won't break the bank. And we're not talking about some 1990s clunkers. We're talking about cars that are stylish, powerful, and still have that new car smell. And to top it off, we have the ultimate depreciation king that has lost 96% of its original value (cue flash of car).
Coming in at #10, we have the Infiniti Q60. This sleek and stylish ride has got it all: performance, luxury, and a name that's just as confusing as the plot of Inception. But don't let the confusion fool you, the Q60 packs a powerful V6 engine with 330 horses just waiting to be unleashed. And with sharp handling inherited from the Nissan 370Z, this car is a blast to drive on winding country roads. Plus, the interior is wrapped in top-quality materials and filled with the latest high-tech features.
But wait, it gets even better. We've got the Audi A7, Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec, Lexus LS460, Maserati Ghibli S Q4, Mercedes E55 AMG, Lexus GS450H, Jaguar XF, Mercedes S550 W221, and the honorable mention Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Each car has its own quirks and features that will make you feel like a boss behind the wheel.
And finally, we have the ultimate king of depreciation, the Volkswagen Phaeton. It was the Volkswagen that was supposed to take down BMW and Mercedes Benz, but it ended up being the most expensive unnecessary car ever. It may look like an enlarged VW Passat, but it has some serious road presence and a W12 engine. And nowadays, you can swing VW luxury for as little as $4,400.
So, what are you waiting for? Head over to Autotempest and snag one of these ideal luxury cars before they're gone. And don't forget to like, subscribe, and turn on the notification thingy. I

@@PrinzAquatic hmm.. Someone has never owned a lexus before.. This will be number 22 I've purchased in the past 8 years (90's-mid 2000's) and zero have been a "money pit".. My 2000 LS400 even had 500k miles on it without even a CEL. On this specific GS450h I had the hybrid battery tested and it's charging flawless.. had it on a lift and zero leaks, doesnt smoke, all of the electronics work perfect (a/c will freeze you out). I bought a new 12vbattery (from lexus) for $300 and paid a PDR guy to fix some dings. I've done some paint correction and replaced some typical worn out leather and she's really turning some heads now. The car has amazing power and gets great MPG with loads of features. Well worth every penny I spent. If the engine blows I can easily part it out and get my $ back. Can't be scared to take a risk every now and then @Prinz Aquatic.

Unfortunately these cars are cheap because generally speaking they are nightmares to own. The Lexus cars are a slightly different story but the ls460 and gs450h when something does break can get STUPID depending on the car. As far as those euro cars. No one wants them because used they cost as much as a new car payment to maintain. Just as expensive as Audi, bmw ect

I noticed that many of these cars are high in mileage. I don't know many of them except for the Lexus that they can reach 200,000 miles. And the pricing of the cars you're talking about mean Finance needed. So as the mileage gets higher up on these cars they will break down at the same time you making payments. In my opinion I would rather have the car paid off if something breaks down (no warranty) at least you have the option to junk it if it's no good. Verses keep paying for the car with no warranty with major motor problems or something. Just my opinion maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way. But I know the Maserati on its own doesn't have a good dependable record. Maybe it should be the 10 best Dependable cars that you can get at a decent price. Everyone knows those European cars are arm and a leg to maintain and fix.

Not comparing apples to apples. Some of these are prices for 2016 models and some are 2008 and older. No mention of mileage either. I fully expect a 15 year old car to have lost value compared to new msrp.

Man right before the pandemic you could, I was buying cars like this and flipping them in Tampa area. I’d get them at auction, 300$ full detail job, usually new aftermarket rims and tires, sometimes a wrap (the cheap Maseratis are worth a 3k matte finish wrap, that’s what all the kids want)
It’s like how all the house flippers paint everything gray and gray flooring and white shaker cabinets. They all have the same look, I figured out the look that the kinda people that buy 10plus year old luxury cars want. I give em that hood rich starter kit😂

The JX35 is a decent choice too. You can get decent mileage (for an SUV) and it's relatively luxurious for what you can get it for. So it makes a decent flex car. But if you're looking for something fun to drive look elsewhere. 2013 was the last year they were made before rebadging as the QX60 and there's good reasons for that

@@elnyoutube123 yeah but considering I got it for 5 grand not awful. And I’ve had it since 2015 and never had to take it to a shop. Plus it mostly uses Nissan parts so even if it did need to go in it wouldn’t be too awful. Don’t get me wrong it’s not an exiting car by any means. But it’s good for decent yet cheap luxury

I feel like you can buy nearly any car for cheap with this many miles. Sure if you don't drive anywhere you can get a few years out of them, but if you actually drive anywhere, the Lexus' and the Nissan are the only ones worth anything with the mileage being that high.

    These cars have depreciated
    Good
Don't be fooled because you are paying a lower price for these cars when it's time to do maintenance and or replace parts the price remains high.
Word of wisdom, if you can't afford these cars brand new don't buy these cars used especially when the mileage is over 100.000 on the odometer.
    Reality will drain you financially.

A lot of these will give you headaches to no end. Especially the Porsche Cayenne. There is a reason why SOME of these are so cheap. Others are bargains. The car I would recommend is the E38 7-Series. Bulletproof if maintaned well. I had a 750i that was imported from Japan and drove it for 9 months without a single issue. But then again, others were not so lucky. So think twice before buying any of these cars. And whatever you do, stay away from the (pre-facelift) E65 7-Series.

  • @terrillshelly8299

Neither one with over 200K in miles, it’s in need to do much maintenance. Transmission, ball joints tie rod ends shocks electronics, window regulators, electro issues…dude it’s a money pit the free maintenance would expire before the vehicle had the kinks worked out😂😂😂
